Just have to share. I'm 10 days out and I'm finally feeling pretty good. I still have port pain, but only when I move suddenly. The Dr. said that with everything he had to go through to get the port in there, it's no wonder I have extra pain. I'm so excited. This morning I put on a coat that I couldn't even get close to closing let alone zipping last week. Today I zipped. Yippeeee. I am concerned that I'm not getting in all my calories. Good with protein and liquid. I'm keeping a food journal at myfitnesspal.com. (great place) Glad to hear from everyone. -

Son owns the As Seen On TV store at the Great Plains Mall in Kansas, so I know ASOTV stores have them, but I think I remember seeing them in Linens & Things & Bed Bath & Beyond type stores. -

Lady, I love my bullet. It's great for creaming up chunkier soups and you can microwave in it too. I entered twoderland this week. It's a great thing!! -

Port location and Pain
jerseygirl518 replied to Persona363's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I thought it was only me. My port is killing me. It is midway on the left side. With three other mini holes about an inch apart in a line above it under the left breast. Not the normal scenario -

I'm having trouble eating too. Just no desire. I'm still in alot of pain. I can hardly walk. The weight of my stomach is pulling at the port incision. Also when does the shoulder pain go away. Other than that - I'm wonderful -

Friday night my SO's bowling night & I usually go with him. Last night I assured him I would be ok alone. When he came home he had a Mickey D bag. The smell of french fries killed me. Had a rough night. Had the shoulder pain and just couldn't get comfortable with port pain. I forgot oxycodone gives me a killer headache. So I said to myself, just put on your big girl panties and deal with it, cause I'm a Bunny Bandster!!! -

TA DA!!! My prayers were answered. He was able to band me. Got to the Hospital at 9am. Surgery was supposed to be at 10:30. Went into OR at 11:05 and woke up in recovery at 1:55. Surgeon said it was a challenge. Got home at 2:30. Then, sleep, sip, pain med & walk. Sleep, sip, pain med & walk. No shoulder pain or gas just port pain. Hope all went well for my day mates. -

OK, now I'm really really nervous. Just saw this post from last June. Well guys no banding for me today. I got to the hospital at 6:15 went to surgery at 7:30 and by 8:00 the doctor was talking to my husband. He said there was no way -to much scar tissue in my stomach... I'm so afraid this is going to happen to me. -

This too was going to be a problem for me. I asked the Bariatric Coordinator and she said 1 - 2 cups would be Ok, if I increased my fluid because coffee is a diuretic. It's confusing. I think there should be one set of do's and don'ts. -

So I decided that they all thought I was having a boob job and thought I'd wear a pair of oranges in my bra my first day back and see what their reaction was - what do you think? :tt2: Mommad, I love your idea. I've only told a few people at work what I'm doing, and I'm sure the rest will be wondering, so I figured when they start asking why I'm going to be out, I'm just going to tell them I'm having a sex-change operation, or something equally outrageous. The both of your are a crack up. Too funny!! -
