    hey firedol! I have not had my first fill yet. I will have it on the 13th of Jan. I hope I feel restriction. on the day of surgeryi weighed in at 233 at my home and now I'm 223-225 it ranges so i feel i should have lost more. Inches are better than the scale. we were both banded on 11/24 as well. How much did you loose? Evelyn:thumbup:

    Wow! You look stunning! I just got banded on November 24th I cannot wait to see my results. I've already lost inches and a total of 16lbs pre and post but im only 2 weeks out!

    hey there! My surgery went well. I had it at Memorial Hosp with Dr. Cywes. He found a hiatal hernia and repaired that as well. I had the worst left shoulder pain ever from the gas that has to be absorbed by the body. Today is day 7 and I went in for my dr's visit. i lost a total of 11lbs since 11/12/08 pre and post. i was down 6 lbs of fat. Overall happy! How about you?

    Hi there! I'm not too sure. I am 1 day post of not even 24hrs out. The post op gas pain is generally a left shoulder pain, which will go away with walking. Are you sipping your drink? Because i've noticed when I gulp it just sits there like a brick too. Try sipping your drink. Also, you are still swollen in the inside I was told by my surgeon it will take about 4weeks for most of the swelling to go down and might not be able to drink too much at one time..just sips.     I bet! 5lbs is alot in a few days! we have 4 short days...i had a really weak day too. At work I did not get a lunch break until almost 4pm I work in the ICU as an RN I had my usuall coffee and nothing else. by 4pm i was dragging so bad. then i had about 6 slices of turkey sandwhich meat with a little of cream cheese and rolled it up and ate. i felt so much better. It is now 8pm and i had a 4oz piece of chicken and crystal light. I must go for now I hope you have a better day tomorrow. im off this weekend and i plan on doing lots of sleeping during those clear liq diet before surgery LOL.

    hi Julie! I'm new as well. I am scheduled for Lap band on nov 24th. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow for my pre-op lecture I guess. hehe. I will then receive my instructions on the liquid diet which Im really eager about so that I can purchase what I need and be prepared. I am an RN and I work 12hr shifts (busy) and need to prepare foods and such. Keep me posted on your surgery date and I will post tomorrow on how my appt went. Dolphin

    Hello there! I was wondering. Have you been banded yet? If so, how long before you returned to work? Are you an RN? I am working in the ICU and so far I've only requested 1 week off of work because I do not know exactly how much time I will need. let me know what your experience is? dolphin:wink_smile:

    Hello everyone! I have my pre-op appt tomorrow with the surgeon and there I will receive my instructions on clear liquid diet. I'm nervous, excited and scared all at the same time. My band date is on the 24th so that is 11days on liquid diet b4 surgery.

    My surgery date is November 24th!! I'm sooo excited, nervous, not scared. Just ready for this to be over with!!! On monday the 10th I have my pre-op appt at the hospital then the 12th pre-op with surgeon I'm dying to know what the diet is prior to surgery!!! :eek:
