    Notorious November Weight Loss Totals

just had my 4th fill and I am no longer ever hungry.. had the fill last saturday and this saturday already lost 4 lbs!!! can't wait to see the doc next month!!!!
  2. Tuesday was my second fill ad I can feel the difference. My firt fill was great i wasn't ungry much and I could stay within my portions. Now i just had my second and boy, I can be on liquids for a while if I wanted. Much more restriction and feels great. I was filled with 2 1/2 cc the first and 1 1/2 the second. Please don't give up. your fills will hit you. I got the best doc. He makes sure that I'm scheduled every month to see if I need a fill. Just chew chew and eat your proteins. Good Luck!!
  3. I just had my first fill last week and it's great. I felt hungry all the time before but now I feel so much better. I stay within my portions and have more energy!!! didn't lose any last week but the doctor said it was ok especially after losing 22 lbs in 2 weeks. I'm so glad I had this done!!!!:):tt1:
  4. my preop week I weighed 296. On surgery day I weighed 294 and my one week post op I weighed 272. My doctor said that it was alot and after talking for a while, I miss understood my post op instructions. I thought that the doctor said walk 5-6 times a day starting on surgery day for at least 20 MINUTES. He meant 20 STEPS!! oopps:rolleyes2:
  5. went to my first postop visit today and the week before surgery and the first week of surgery, I lost 22 lbs!!!. I don't have to do liquids anymore! ince I don't have my new band filled and did very well with my diet, I could go ahead and eat my soft foods just to avoid foods with seeds, no skins ( like peel tomatoes and suff) and chew chew chew until it turns to smush. my first fill will be in 3 more weeks. Good luck to all!!!
  6. After a seminar, we all sat down and had a discussion on all phases of the diet. On the soft food issue, we were told it would be more texture food but easily to chew slowly and not hard on your new tummy. I made a personal list because I would like my family to eat similar of what I eat. I showed my nutritionist my list on consultation day and she was ok with it. I had no added sugar fresh fruit bowl with different melons, steamed veggies with broc, carrots and cauliflower, and a squash casserole with lean chicken. But this wont be my diet for another 2 months. I'm soo hungry for this now but tomorrow would be the end of my first week. Let's see what he says.
  7. I was too in severe pain from the begining. I thought I was just a " delicate flower" but see lots more comments about the pain. My doctor (LBS FORT WORTH) told me to take GasX for the gas and the next day I was farting. Sounds gross but when you have gas pain, oh... it was great!!Liquids are begining to suck but getting just a bit worried that liquids are not filling me up. I have my first post op appointment on monday and we'll see what Dr. Smith says.
  8. the doctor said that I can try no added sugar applesauce, cream of wheat, tomatoe juice, v-8, and no added sugar grape juice. I asked him about cream of chicken and he said it was fine as long as I blended more to reduce the chunks. I'm actually looking foward to it becasue i'm constantly starving for more texture.
  9. Hello to all! new to forums! I was banded this last monday 11/3/08. I was in a lot of pain the first day but by the 3rd day I was driving. The first 3 days I was doing great. I was able to drink my clear liquids. Today is day 5 and I'm very active and having just minor soreness. My only problem is that I'M STARVING!!!!!. I had 80 grams of protein, lots of water, 2 cups of broth, 2 jellos, many popcicles. My doctor says it will be another week before I can even get full liquids. I'm trying to stick it out but now it's getting hard. My first fill is in 3 weeks!! can't wait!
