I have been researching possible LapBand surgary for almost 2 years.  I found the courage to make the first phone call back in May 2009.  I have been overweight for about 4 decades and I have lost and gained back hundreds of pounds during those 4 decades.  I weighted 200 pounds before my 14th birthday and I have been in the yo yo weight lost struggle since then.  I just celebrated my 59th birthday and for my first weigh-in I was 296.  The 296 is the highest I have ever weighed.  To say that my health is suffering is an understatement.  And to say that making this decision doesn't have me nervous is also an understand.  I have a huge trust in a Higher Power and I am trusting that my higher power as lead me to  Lap Band and all the tons of information I have found, researched and read over the last couple of years.  I have decided to join this on-line community to give myself all the support I know I will need.  Right now I have so many questions running around in my head.  But I know someone else has asked them before me and so I will start exploring this on-line community.  Thank you for being here.
