How did your surgery go?

I currently have a lapband and seeking a revision to a gastric sleeve. Does anyone have any experience with this? is approval process the same with the 6 month nutrition plan?

is that 6 mos nutritional program usually for revisions too? Im trying to . have revision of my lapband to gastric sleeve too?

SO I am being seen next week for evaluation to revise my 10 year lap band to a gastric sleeve. Does anyone know if Aetna requires even the revisional patients to follow the 6 month nutrition plan requirement? I know i did it the first time jut not sure what is different with the revision.

Hang in there Chris. After a while I wasn't hungry. Miriam, Glad to hear you are doing better. I have heard from someone I know they had similar urinary issues. It passed quickly she said. btw I also had egg fantasies! Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! I had a delicious turkey dinner the size of a deck of cards and couldnt feel any better! Hi everyone, I fell off the face of the earth for a while...sorry. Surgery went well and boy am I glad thats over. Fran, I am glad you are doing so great. I was quite uncomfortable for a week but I am back to work now.( I am not real good with pain...lol) I still have some left upper abdominal pain and have a hard time sitting at my desk but all in all feeling pretty good. I am down 16 pounds since beginning pre-op. I cant wait to eat...actually to be more specific...I can;t wait to have an EGG! I am so tired of shakes and fliuds. I cant even stand the smell of the shakes now. 3 more days to go... I do continue to have some weakness and get tired easily. I am sure thats from not taking enough protein or calories in. I hope it all improves after i start eating a bit on Weds. I hope everyone is well. Good luck Chris.

Hi Everyone, Fran: Congrats on your good start today. What great will-power! Christine: Congrats on your progress so far. Lisa: everything will be fine. You are at bat and Deb and I are on deck. susan carole: what great progress you are havving also. We all wish we were there and the this scary part of awating suregery was over.. Surgery for me is the 13th. I am on liquids since the 7th and had a total meltdown today and ate half a bagel this am. I totally lost my mind like a crack addict I talked myself that it was no big deal. Three more days of liquids and I am just so hungry. I hope the next few days get better.

hi everyone for some reason I could not sign on and had to re-register on this site and change my name a bit. Pre surgical testing tomorrow. Started liquids today and Im starving!! Im going to go to bed...:-/
