    Port Pain and Burping

HI all, I am here to wine again.:help: I am 1-week post op and these are my complaints: My port area pain is still pretty bad especially in the morning.:omg: I went for a 2 mile walk last night thinking it's gas but it didn't help. Then yesterday I read all this stuff about port flippage. Maybe I ripped my stitched and flipped it?? I don't know but it hurts all the time...sometimes just tenderness like just sitting here to type this....other times bad pain like standing up or laying down.:cry I am also burping to the point that my chest feels like it's popping out...especially when I drink anything.:phanvan I try to take small sips but it doesn't matter....does this go away eventually?

    Port Pain and Burping

Hi Socalgal3, Unfortunately, my doctor won't call in any liquid Lortab for me.:cry I think she's pissed that I went to MX so I will be looking for a new pcp. Tylenol doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe I will try the Aloe Juice. My chest feels really tight and it's hard to take deep breaths but I probably still have alot of gas. My gasx has acid reducer but those don't seem to help. Rene responded that he talked to Dr. Martinez and he said to stop worrying I am fine.:tired
  5. Congrats!!! Love the photo of you on the scale!

    Port Pain and Burping

Socal, thanks for your reply. I just e-mailed Rene (the guy who works the front desk). I don't want to bother the doctors if It's normal and I am just over reacting. I explained it to him and asked him to ask the doc if it seems abnormal. Anyone else have these symptoms for this long?? :think

I did it Monday then again Tuesday.:grouphug: Both times my shoulder hurt so bad I was in tears.:think Then I finally realized NO STRAWS duuuhhhhh!!!! Anyway, I am still feeling some gas pain but now it's tolerable.:clap2: It really does get better each day.

    Housecatgirl banded!!!

I am an official bandster!! Got here at 7:30am and was banded by 2pm. Feeling a little dizzy and queezy.:embarassed: Also, pain in my port area but otherwise ok. Hurts only when I walk around. I hope it gets to the point that I can walk around more without all the pain in the stitches.:rolleyes Right now I don't really feel like walking more that maybe 10 minutes. It hurts especially when I get up or down in bed or reach for something from my suitcase. Is this normal because someone else here says she doen't have that tight pain. I am able to get some liquids down but feel some gas...not too bad yet though. Also, I highly suggest packing someething warm for the clinic I was feezing last night.:grouphug: Thanks for all the support bandster friends!!

    Thirtysomething's

HI all, I will be 35 on Oct. 23. My height is only 5ft. My starting weight is below on my ticker along with my goal. I live in Canyon Hills, CA with my husband and 14yr. old son, my 6 cats, 2 dogs, and one horse.:grouphug: My job is teenager and animal caretaker.LOL:rolleyes: Does anyone here live in the Corona or Temecula, CA area. Probably no one lives in the middle of no where where I live but the above cities are fairly close to me. I was just banded last Weds. by Dr. Ortiz. I can't wait to eat normal food again just in smaller quantities.:hungry:

HI Cheri, I am still catching up on my posts since I just got back from my lap band surgery on Saturday. I am so glad you got the sam gift and it didn't get lost in the mail. BTW, that's a beautiful tote you made.:clap2:
  13. Ok...I am a biiiiiggggg baby:think but this pain in my shoulder is worse than the pain in my port area. Just when the port area pain was getting managable...the left shoulder pain starts.:faint: So, I am going to ask the husband to take me to the store now to get a heating pad but am I supposed to put it on the shoulder or tummy? Thanks and sorry for the stupid question.:omg:

Please someone tell me when the port side pain will go away???:faint: Ok, I am kind of a baby when it comes to pain but I wouldn't want this to last much longer. It hurts so bad I am getting headaches.:angry
  16. Ok, I am not even a week out yet and all I can think of is food:rolleyes ...any food! I'm not physically hungry...too much port pain for that:sick but I am thinking of the types of food I am going to make, where I am going to eat, etc. I thought it was positive at first but now I think I am getting a little obsessed.:heh: I have major mental hunger!!:help:

Socalgal3 and Chako Lady, My left side hurts really bad, too. Right around the largest incision. I hope that pain goes away. I can deal with the shoulder pain and whatever else but every time I stand up or lay down or walk around I find myself holding my left side because it burns so bad.:faint:
  19. :help: I am still in TJ so Mrs. Ortiz picked me up and took me back to the clinic to have a doc check my port side. He said it appeared to be fine but it feels like I pulled a stitch or muscle.:think How long until this pain goes away??:faint: I also have shoulder pain but it is not bad compared to the port area pain (largest incision area) Is this normal??:phanvan

Help!! My port side hurts so bad is this normal!?!

:bananajump: Well, it was better last night. I was able to sleep on both sides, although it is actually more comfortable for some reason on the port side. It is still a sore area though especially when I stand up after sitting or lying down for awhile. 5-weeks huh...:rolleyes well hopefully not forever. I thought they did the most work in the port incision:rolleyes I don't even really feel any of the other ones. I am so hungry though...can't wait til Weds.:hungry: Yogurt never sounded so good.:Banane20:

Well, it's the night before my surgery and I can't believe the day is finally here. I can't sleep...all I can do is pee all the water I drank earlier. Which got me thinking...do they need a urine sample? I have had trouble in the past peeing on cue. If any one else is up this late, let me know.=)
