  1. I got my first fill. It was fairly uneventful except I have a big red blotch where the needle was stuck on my skin. Is that normal? Am I supposed to be on liquids for a few days??? I had the bottle of water they gave me and some apple juice and I feel full. I hope it works. They put in 2.2 cc's. I don't know if that is a little or a lot. He did mention my stomach is smaller than the average so he said I may need another fill in a few weeks.:rolleyes Please, experienced bandsters, let me know what you guys think. Any advice would be appreciated.

:help: Well, it’s been almost 4 weeks and I need a fill!! I can eat anything and just as much as I could eat before. I know the band is empty right now but do I really need to wait 2 more weeks?? :rolleyes I was hoping to go down Thursday.

Drugs - What am I doing to my body?

I agree with what Randi L said. When I was a teen I drank and did drugs and was thin. Now that I am older my addiction is food.:hungry: I just traded one for the other. I wish I could be addicted to exercise...that's my new plan.:heh: It took courage to admit this on the forum and :clap2: for that!! Now, do something else...knit, take a class, exercise. And, I agree with going to a meeting or seeking help.

July5forme, I had the deep breathing problem, too.:faint: It was the last thing and I still feel it a little bit, especially after I drink something cold. I still feel the port area but not really pain just some mild discomfort. Two of my scars are almost completely healed and have almost disappeared.:clap2: The rest are well on their way. I feel pretty good, maybe 80-90% healed but I think I still have a little to go. I feel some restriction but this past week I have started to feel kinda hungry.:hungry: It's hard to tell the difference between physical and mental hunger. Sometimes I just drink a cup of water when I feel physically hungry and that helps.

I'm probably the shortest here...only 5'1/2":paranoid haha...gotta get in that 1/2 inch. I would love to get down to 110 but would be thrilled with 115.:banana I think I'll be happy when I get to 120-125 even.

I have an idea!! We could start a book exchange club with all these great books. I don't know about you, but most of the time I read these books and then they sit on my shelf to collect dust after. If there's a particular one we want back, we could just request it back after it's been read. Anyone ever try something like this??...not really sure how exactly to set it up.

Food dreams! OMG.. crazy! (food ment.)

Yes, check out the other recent post on dreams. I think you can just do a search with dream or nightmare if you don't see it.
  17. Hey Tellymelly, How much weight are you losing doing that. This is my exact plan! When I was under 150 I used to love exercise. I loved it so much I actually got into personal training for awhile since I was in the gym all day anyway.:rolleyes It made sense at the time. Luckily, I am a stay at home Mom but my son is 14 so pretty self sufficient and a good kid in general considering he's a teen. At any rate, I could hit the gym for 3-4 hours in Sept. once he's back in school. I am just hoping to get under that 150 mark quick so I can actually enjoy it again.

    Food nightmares

Ok, you are not going to believe this but I had a dream last night that my dog was laying next to me instead of my husband with her head on his pillow and we were discussing food options. It went something like this...:scared: Me: Let's talk about different ways to prepare chicken...chicken mole, chicken picatta, chicken tacos... Zelda: Chicken Jerky treats are pretty good too. You should try them sometime Mom... And, she was actually talking to me...:embarassed: I've totally lost my marbles on this liquid diet.:heh:

What have you not done b/c of your weight?

My husband is a pro photographer and I rarely let him take my picture.:tired I feel really bad because our son has grown up right before our eyes and I would never do a family portrait. One of my biggest goals is to do our family portrait when I am close to goal.:biggrin1:

    Thirtysomething women, no kids?

I have a 14 yr. old but lately he is so independent I feel like a 34 yr old with no kids.
  23. Ok...I am a biiiiiggggg baby:think but this pain in my shoulder is worse than the pain in my port area. Just when the port area pain was getting managable...the left shoulder pain starts.:faint: So, I am going to ask the husband to take me to the store now to get a heating pad but am I supposed to put it on the shoulder or tummy? Thanks and sorry for the stupid question.:omg:

you have a healthy recipe right?

Makes 4 entrée servings or 8 appetizer servings Herb-Mustard Vinaigrette: 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic 2 teaspoons minced fresh shallot 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 1 ½ teaspoons dried oregano 2 teaspoons dried parsley ½ teaspoon ground black pepper ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt ¼ cup red wine vinegar 1 1/3 cups pure, mild-flavored olive oil 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese To Make the Dressing: Process all ingredients except oil and parmesan using a hand-held, propeller-blade type mixer (or use a whisk in a small bowl). Slowly blend in oil. When all oil has been incorporated, stir in parmesan. Set aside in the refrigerator. salad: ½ head iceberg lettuce, cleaned, trimmed and chopped into 1/8-inch-wide strips ½ head romaine lettuce, cleaned, trimmed and chopped into 1/8-inch-wide strips 12 large basil leaves, chopped into 1/16-inch-wide strips 2 cups (1/3 pound) dry Italian salami, cut into thin strips 3 cups (2/3 pound) shredded mozzarella cheese 1 cup chopped garbanzo Beans 4 cups (2 pounds) ripe tomatoes, diced ½ inch 3 cups (1 pound) turkey breast, diced ½ inch 2 tablespoons chopped scallions, ¼-inch pieces To Make the Salad: Toss first 6 ingredients and dressing together in a large mixing bowl. Transfer the salad to chilled salad plates. Surround each serving with a ring of diced tomatoes. Top the salad with diced turkey breast. Garnish with chopped scallions. Note: If so desired, all ingredients can be tossed together instead of being composed on the plate as described above
