Tina, the fruit cups are from Costco and they're Del Monte brand. It has 24- 4 oz cups of fruit. 12 are peaches in lite syrup and 12 are mixed fruit in lite syrup (peaches, pears, and pineapple). I LOVE them! Especially on these nasty hot days, it's really refreshing. Dr. Baggs said anywhere around 1000 calories is where we should shoot for. I sometimes have days where I'm only at 800 and then I have the occasional day where I'm at 1100 or 1200. I just try to have my week average about 1000.

Hey girls! I've gone 4 days without stepping on the scale. Hiding it does the trick! Haha...I got up this morning and did my arms video with my 8 lbs weights and then grabbed my book and hopped on the bike. AGAIN!!! I felt like it was maybe 20 minutes on the bike and I looked up and it was 54 minutes! I finished the last 6 minutes to make it an hour. I LOVE reading while working out! I'm really hoping to be 225 on Saturday when I weigh, but I'll be happy with 227.5--that'll be 70 lbs down. Cross your fingers for me!

OMG girls! I'm reading the Twilight books, (better late than never, right?) and today I hopped on the bike and thought I'd do a little 20 minute workout while I read New Moon. I realized I was REALLY sweating and breathing hard (I was on a level 6, but still...) and I moved my book out of the way and I had been riding for 58 minutes!!! I don't know where that hour went, I was SO SO into my book! haha So I finished another chapter and ended up doing 1 hour 10 minutes on the bike and then did my arms video with my 8 lbs weights (15 minutes long). Breakast-venti decaf nonfat iced vanilla latte 230 cals Lunch-2 string cheese 160 cals, 3 pcs beef jerky 60 cals Dinner-1/2 cup chili, 1/4 c caesar salad, 1 tbsp chicken

Mmm, a chalky brick? Sounds DELICIOUS! Thanks Tina, I wish I could order one just like him for ya! We met 16 years ago on his high school graduation day. I went to his family graduation party with a friend that knew him but we had never crossed paths in high school. We totally hit it off and haven't been apart since! We dated for 2 years and then eloped 5 days after my 19th birthday in 1995. Pretty crazy, huh? No one thought it would last cuz we were so young and had eloped without telling anyone but here we are 14 years later happier than we have ever been. Tina, maybe the key for you is to eat 1/4-1/3 cup of food 5-6 times a day. Smaller amounts might help keep you from PB'ing so much, but if you do it 5-6 times a day you'll be sure to get enough Protein and calories in too. Maybe try that for a week and see what you lose! I bet it'll work.

Riley, I was just looking at the 10k in Tahoe in September and it looks so cool! 99% downhill too? NICE. It says it's $70...is that right? Seems kinda steep, I don't know if that'll be in our budget. Is that how much you paid for it too?

50% divorce rate for bariatric patients...isn't that the same as the 50% American marriage divorce rate? I thought it would be higher than the national average, but I'm glad it's not. Nicole, does Mike prefer you overweight or his he enjoying the new, fitter, you? I know you've said that you've been overweight your whole life so maybe it's just taking him a while to get used to you being average size after knowing you plus-sized all these years...hopefully he'll get over it soon and just ENJOY IT!
-
Nicole, that sucks that he's like that with you. He better knock that stuff off or it's gonna get real old with you real quick, huh? Once he gets a job again and is out for the day and providing for the family he'll have a nice boost for his self esteem, that'll probably help some. He's lost weight too, right? Is he happy and proud of your weight loss? Does he make you feel good about yourself?

Candra, my hubby has lost 40 lbs and is at 195 and at goal. We've been married for 14 years and I've been heavy since about a year after we got married. I say that we got fat and happy together! lol We have a very strong relationship and talk about everything. I know that 100% we will be together forever and weight (either fat or thin) will never change the way we feel about each other. This doesn't mean that things aren't better now, because they totally are! We are much more active in the things we do as a family and when he and I are on dates or out of town, we don't focus on food as much, we have sex way more often and are more adventurous nowdays with more than 100lbs gone between the two of us, we exercise together...the list goes on and on! We are having the most fun we've had together in our entire marriage. I'm sure there are lots of couples that end up having lots of jealousy and trust issues, and I'm so glad that he and I don't have to worry about that. I know he'll love me if I'm 300 lbs and he knows I'll be the same with him. That's why I love him.

I had so much fun at the pool today. I was like a kid again! Someone please tell my why I let myself get so fat for so many years? I feel like I missed out on so much! I'm makin' up for it now though, that's for sure! I dove off the HIGH and low diving boards probably 30+ times and went down the water slide about 20+ time, I just kept going back and getting in line, SO fun! My nephews and nieces think I'm pretty fun to be doing it with them...it was just me and my sister (for the adults that were diving with them). SO SO SO SO FUN. Okay, my food: b-1 string cheese l-1/3 cup chicken seasoned w/ taco seasoning, 2 tbsp guacamole on top of chicken. 10 tortilla chips, I know I'm bad but I worked out so shush! d-3 oz chicken, 2 pieces watermelon, 1 small rice krispy treat, 3 grapes, 3 slices pineapple (probably too much food but I was SO hungry from swimming for 5 hours!) MY WORKOUT: arms video with 8 lbs weights 15 minutes long, bike 35 minutes and swim at pool (diving, water slides, swimming with kids) for 5 hours. I'm sure I burned way more than I ate today!

Hey girls, I won't be at the meeting today. Weekends in the summer are just super busy around our family, but I'll try next month. We should try to schedule another meet-up soon. Have a good time though! Okay, so I had Bri hide the scale til next Saturday. I've decided to start weighing only once a week, but I only trust myself to stick to it if I don't know where the scale is! I'm so happy with the weight I was yesterday and I don't want to play the daily weigh game and see it fluctuate...it gets very frustrating. The damn thing just calls my name though and I can't help but to stand on it. SO--my goal is to be 225 next Saturday, and I would be down 72.5 lbs down. We're going on vacation next Saturday for a week and my goal since January has been to be down 70 lbs when we leave...I'M SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT!!! I think I'll stay more motivated when I'm not on the scale every day. Wish me luck! We're going to the pool today with ALL my family: mom, dad, 4 sisters, 3 bros in law, 12 grandkids. It's gonna be so fun and I'm TOTALLY gonna rock the diving boards and Water slide! I'm so ready for it, I haven't done those things in so many years cuz of being self-conscious but today I'm over that crap and I am going to have FUN. I might even take a camera and get some picture proof of it to show ya. Have a great day everyone! I know I will!!

Tina, I wonder if you have too much fluid in your band? Maybe he should've taken .5 OUT instead of putting it in. I hope you get it figured out soon. Also, you only ate about 450 cals today, if that. You could be stuck on a plateau from having too LITTLE calories. You need to fuel your body for it to work for you. Good idea about the exercise log too! We should do both food and exercise at the end of every day. I already did my food one, but here's my exercise: 15 minute "I Want Those Arms" video with 8 lbs weights, 30 minutes on the bike, 15 minutes ball work for abs and thighs=1 hour total

Ooh, you guys! I just made up a really good iced decaf coffee recipe, it's not bad! 2 tsp decaf INSTANT coffee 1 tsp (to taste) sugar free vanilla syrup (I use Torani) 3 TBSP warm water --put first 3 ingredients in a shaker and shake to dissolve Fill glass with ice. Pour coffee into glass. Top off with 1 cup fat free milk and stir. I really like it! It's only 80 cals (only the cals of the milk) and it's 8 grams of protein.

Oh Nicole, I see what Candra was talking about you needing to change your siggy. Under your name (in burgandy in your sig) it says "Current 194.4" in red...that's WAY off now!
-
NICOLE--What flavor Laughing Cow do you like? I have the French Onion and the Swiss right now. I wanted to try the Garlic herb one but they were out...what's your fave?

I haven't been thirsty any more than normal. I'm still just drinking my usualy 64+ oz a day. I was thinking we should do a daily food post so we can be accountable for our snacking and head hunger...want to? Here's mine for the day: b-1/3 cup cream of wheat w/ 1 tsp peanut butter in it l-2 string cheese sticks and 1 oz almonds d-1/2 cup turkey chili and 1/4 cup peaches and pears snack--Sophie and I were swimming for 4 hours today and we shared an ice cream bar at the pool. It was 250 cals and I had about 1/2 of it. I deserved it though, I worked out like a crazy woman this morning and then swam for 4 hours with her. Those calories were HECKA burned! I have been so happy today with how little I'm eating and getting full and STAYING full with. It's like the old days in the first few weeks after surgery! I'm loving my band now that it's finally working for me.
-
Thanks sweetie! I'm pretty freakin happy about it too! I can't believe I've graduated out of the 290's, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40,and 30's. That is so huge of an accomplishment! PAM--I wonder if Dr. Im misspoke about the capacity of the band...Dr. Baggs AND Dr. Fisher have both told me that the band is a 10cc band but can be filled up to about 12ccs. That's a difference of 5cc's, plus I'm at 7ccs now and Dr. Baggs still intends on giving more fills, but if Dr. Im were right I'd be at capacity right now. I think he may be wrong...
-
OH! And I'm in the freakin' 220's! I haven't seen this decade in over 13 years!!! The lowest I've seen in the last 10+ years was 234...so awesome!
-
I'm nervous but excited to eat breakfast! I just have to wait another 45 minutes cuz of my thyroid pill...boo. I really like losing 2.5 lbs overnight! Bring on the fills!!!
-
Good job Heather! I always bring socks in my purse if I'm wearing sandals or flip flops so that I can NOT weigh with my heavy ass shoes on. Just a tip for next time! It's exciting to do those weigh ins, every one you do gets you closer to the big day!
-
I'm a grande nonfat DECAF (since surgery) iced or hot vanilla latte kind of girl. BUT! I've gotten it regular and non decaf about 3 times since surgery just when I was feeling draggy and wanted the caffeine. I'm afraid to do it too often though because I had a major caffeine addiction prior to surgery and I don't want to go there again. It's funny after being such a caffeine addict with absolutely no guilt how much guilt I felt the few times I had it with caffeine in it!
-
Tina, don't forget! It can take a couple of days for your fill to take effect and for you to notice a real difference. That's what Dr. Baggs told me last time.
-
I may or may have NOT just had some cocoa, and it may or may have not been delicious.
-
Thanks you sexy biotch! I miss you...
-
That's what I'm thinking too Riley...if I could just have a tall decaf iced coffee with a little bit of milk maybe I wouldn't have this friggin' headache and rumbly tummy.
