Hey girls! Hope you all had a great 4th of July, we sure did! We're heading out in the morning for a week to the beach and will be back late next Sunday. Just wanted to remind ya so you didn't think I dropped off the face of the earth, lol! Have a great rest of the weekend! :smile2:

HEATHER--this is the arms video I do. Amazon.com: The Science of Fitness with Tamilee: I Want Those Arms! [VHS]: Tamilee Webb: Video It ROCKS!!! I can already see so much more firmness and definition in my arms, it's great. I HIGHLY recommend it. We also have the abs and buns, it's a set and we love them all. The abs and buns are HELLA hard though!

Hey girls! What a fun, long day...Sophie and I had a playdate at Candi's house with her adorable kiddos Abbey and Tyler. They had a great time swimming in the backyard and playing toys. We even had Soph take a pic of the 2 of us in the backyard so you guys can check it out when Candi puts it on here. She's looking HOT and has changed so much since our last playdate just a month ago or less!!! HOT MAMA! Okay, here's my food and exercise log for the day: b-8 oz hot cocoa l- string cheese and 1 oz almonds d-oriental chx salad @ Applebees WORKOUT: 15 minute arms video with 8 lbs weights and bike 45 minutes NICOLE! I was saying Happy Friday because lots of people have work off today for the 4th of July holiday. It's our Friday today (Thursday) and now Bri is off work for the next 10 days and I'm so happy to have him around for so long!
-
Riley that's so awesome! Why don't you take a pic of that cute little ass and make THAT your new profile pic? heehee... Happy FRIDAY everyone!
-
I think I did okay, Nicole. I just have a hard time counting "having fun swimming" as real exercise, you know? I'm sure it was probably enough exercise but just in case.... So I did my arms video and then 30 minutes on the bike. Nothing too turbo, but a real, official workout. I better be at my frickin' mini-goal before I go on vacation!

I am...just do a search for Christine Swisher.

Okay, my food started off good today but then went a little down hill. Swimming makes me SO hungry and then I do naughty things... b-1 egg fried in Pam 75, 2 turkey sausage links 80, 1/2 sandwich thin 50=205 l-string cheese 80, 1 oz almonds 160=240 d-mexican pizza 540 (oops! I ate the whole thing too!) s-ice cream cone @ mcdonalds 150 TOTAL: 1135 cals I figure I swam for 4 hours today so I'm probably fine. I'm gonna do my arms video too and then do the bike for about 45 min to an hour.

So Nicole, your post was over 2 hours ago...does that mean they haven't made a decision yet about the job?
-
OMG you guys! I learned how to do a flip today at my friends' pool! It was so freakin' fun, she didn't have a diving board so it wasn't totally pretty cuz I couldn't bounce and get very high but it was awesome! I bet I tried about 50 times. Hilarious. My mom and sisters were cracking up that I was like a kid and was jumping in the pool more than any of the 11 grandkids we had with us, lol. My sis can do back dives and I just can't figure those damn things out. She was trying to teach me but I was so scared I'd end up doing a back flop that I kept wimping out and just falling in ass first. Freaking hilarious. We were swimming for 4 hours...I'm trying to convince myself that between swimming, doing flips and diving into the water to scoop the diving toys off the bottom of the pool that I don't need to do an "official" workout tonight. What do you think?
-
We'll be gone at the beach all next week, but I'm sure I can make the next meet up! Good luck to Mike today, I hope he gets the job!
-
Nicole, I highly recommend Hotwire. That's interesting that Pam and I are at the same level. I think her doc is more conservative than mine... Candi, I miss you too girl! Darn work...
-
Wow! It could hurt your diet AND your checkbook too, that might get expensive living in a hotel...do they want him to start on Monday if he gets the job? That would be great, I hope he hears something soon. Good that Six Flags is the same drive, your season passes won't go to waste!
-
I think so Tamra. At our group fill they mentioned that this was a new added step in the process...like there aren't already enough steps? Geez! Sorry you still have to go, hopefully it'll be quick and painless.
-
Nicole, I don't think you'd be moving next week if he got the job, right? And even so, Vallejo isn't that far from San Jose...it may be even closer than you are right now in Marysville! I'll be leaving on Sunday 7/5 for the beach and won't be back till the next Sunday 7/12. I'm up for going to Six Flags any time after I get back though if you guys haven't already gone. Bri is doing his ab workout video and then hopping on the tready, I'm about to do my arms video when he's done and then will hop on the bike. I finished New Moon and just stared Eclipse today...should get me a nice long workout while reading! I'm sure I'll have lots to catch up on when I get back on here too! We're pretty busy on here lately. Nothin' like a good ol' fill to get us re-motivated and talking a lot again!
-
We'll be gone at Raging Waters on Friday with my sis and her boyfriend. LOTS of people have this Friday off for the 4th so it'll be super busy at Six Flags...maybe another day during the week would be better. We went on Father's Day and it SUCKED. It was so freakin' busy you could hardly walk anywhere and there were lines at least an hour long for every ride. Lame.
-
I took a couple sips of Bri's Diet Coke on Saturday and it tasted really different, not what I used to remember it like and you know me Tina! We were both about the same level of addicts! haha I'm glad it didn't taste the same though and that I'm happy with ice Water with lemon in it instead.
-
Tina, I just looked at the TB website and the whole serving is 170 cals. You probably had about 75 cals of it or less. Don't sweat it!
-
TINA--remember this: One day at a time, NO GUILT, move on. I live by those words! Tomorrow you will do better, and you won't gain 5 lbs from eating a bagel and 5 cinnamon thingies. You're being way too hard on yourself. Who knows? Maybe mixing it up and keeping your body guessing will actually do something good for ya!
-
No "soft bread" is what the rules say...technically if we toasted it we'd probably be fine, but only with maybe 1/4 or 1/2 a bagel just cuz they're so dense and filling.
-
I hear ya girls, when I feel snacky it's almost always carbs that I turn to. We had SO much fun today at Six Flags! I went on almost every freakin' ride and fit perfectly on each of them. I've been getting so much sun, it's really funny for people to see me cuz they're all saying "WOW! You're getting really dark!" LOL, usually I'm hella pasty white cuz I'm sitting at home being a fat ass and eating...NOT ANYMORE!!! It was such a great day, I didn't want to leave! Thank God for season passes, I can go back any time. This Friday we're going to Raging Waters to go water sliding, I'm SO SO excited for that. Can't wait!
-
Yep, I still keep all the snacks in the house for Soph and Daddy. I have the almonds and beef jerky in there for me too, but the carbs are all for them. I promised myself that when I started this journey that I would have the will power to keep the fun food in the house for my family but that I would be able to either not eat it or eat it in moderation. So far I've done pretty damn good. I just want this change that I've made to affect them as little as possible. Bri and Soph still eat really healthy, but I don't want to be the person that says that they can't have fun snacks either...you know?
-
Thanks girls! All of you are what keeps me motivated. For the first time in my life I feel like I'm really "there"...you know? I know that SO much of it is from the friendship and support I get here from you girls. You are the BEST. <3

Ok, I just had a nice little victory. I just went shopping and got home and poured a big glass of cold water. Then I went to the cupboard and was looking for a snack. I looked at the wheat thins, cheezits, almonds, oreos, and goldfish and was deciding what I wanted. Then I thought "WAIT. Am I hungry? No... then why am I doing this?" and I shut the cupboard and came here to post that I was going to snack but DIDN'T. YAY for will power! :tongue2:

Thanks Candra! This is the first time in my life that I've been accountable to myself and stuck to something for this long. I'm really proud of myself for that. I'm starting C25K also! I was gonna do it a couple of weeks ago but got a little bored with the treadmill so I'm been doing my bike lately. I'll start it after the 12th when we're back from vacation so I don't have to break up the program. I went shopping today and bought 2 sundresses in a size 16!!! NOT IN THE WOMEN'S PLUS DEPT! Just the plain old women's/girls dept. I'm so excited! They're both pretty cute, and they're sleeveless! That's huge for me, I haven't exposed my arms this much in so so so many years. I didn't realize how much cooler I could've been all these friggin' years...geez. I'll take some pics and post 'em here in the next couple days. My sister and I are taking our 3 nephews (13, 9, 7) to Marine World tomorrow. I can't wait to ride all the big kid rides!

And yeah, Robin makes me wanna scream at her when she won't get past the stupid 1/3 x 3 thing...she totally tripped up when I asked her about it. She said she'd have to work out an actual formula to tell me how many calories I should take in per day...but that doesn't make sense since the 1/3 x 3 thing doesn't factor in my weight, height, age, etc either. I was SO freaking annoyed by that. Just give me a number to shoot for as an AVERAGE, I like to count calories. It keeps me feeling accountable! GRRRRR!!!!!
