TellyMelly,Keekahari How many fills have you guys had?I notice you don't post it,have you had any fills at all?

B- L-grilled chicken salad D-baked chicken with gravy and steamed broccoli/cauliflower snack- yogurt exercise: shopping all day I need to do better with my water intake,Any ideas how to make drinking more interesting.Any good drinks out there? Teresita the blanks is when I don't eat anything at that time.

Friday:hungry: B- L- Taco salad with steak from Carl's Jr 830 calories,420 fat,carbs 68,protein 41 !!!:eek: :faint: D- Yogurt thick n creamy 100 cal,0 fat Saturday-:hungry: B- Corn flakes 100 calories,2 protein w/ 2% milk 60 cal,5 protein L- South Beach Beef with cheesy broccoli 240 cal,28 protein D- Yogurt thick n creamy 100 cal,5 protein Sunday:hungry: B- L- D -Taco salad Monday:hungry: B L D Salad 10 cal,dressing 120 cal,cottage cheese 120 cal Exercise : Walk 2 miles a day,except weekends when I work ,I'm on my feet all day those 2 days at the hospital. My husband bought me a bike today..............with a baby trailer for my 1 yr old.I was only able to go around the block tonight cause it was already dark but I felt my legs/thighs burning!:omg: That bike works muscles I don't feel burning while just walking.This is going to interesting.:nervous

I'm going to try and do like you all are,writing down what I eat daily.You are all so consistent.I want to be like you guys when my band grows up. Exercise:walked 2 miles

I can't have flour tortillas,they just won't go down.I love wraps though,that's a good question.Are wraps a good food for us or a bad food.Does anyone know the numbers on one of those.I have seen them wrapped in a wheat tortilla or a really thin pita type bread..................mmmmmmm I'm making myself hungry!

I paid $8995.It included the hospital,procedure,all meds before and after,fills for life,transportation to and from the hospital from the border,hotel stay with transportation to the hotel for your choice of 1 or 2 days for you or even for your guest that rather stay in the hotel then in your room on that side bed.Follow up care.Dr Kuri and staff prefer to do all fills with flouro ,each flouro is $70. So I consider every fill costing me $70.

Alot of people say the first fill does nothing for them at all.That was my experience too.If you were going to feel restriction it would be the day of and a few days after a fill because of the swelling a fill causes.If you don't feel it then,then you won't "2 weeks" later because the initial swelling is gone and the stoma is back to normal so if you don't feel restricted you'll probably need to schedule a 2nd fill.My second fill is barely starting to show me what a restriction could feel like,but still not good enough.I've already scheduled my 3rd.

Hi Rett, Sorry took so long to respond,haven't been online for a while.Anyways everything went good with my banding with Dr Kuri.My sister was banded by him 6 weeks ago.So yeah I do recommend him as a competent banding Dr.The new Hospital is beautiful,looks kind of like a fancy hotel.I loved it.Dr Kuri did do both of my fills so far,but I've heard that his partners sometimes do the fills.I live in San Jacinto Ca.Dr Kuri's fills are free for life but there is a charge for fills with flouro which is,from what I understand ,the way he highly recommends them to be done,so I figure each fill is $70.00 (the cost of flouro).When do you plan on having surgery?

I was banded by Dr Kuri in Mexico,you might want to look into his services also.He was highly recommended by alot of people.I researched and researched and only found good things said about him,so I decided to go with him for my band.His cost was $8995. Good luck.

That is crazy.I too would find another Dr.,one with a more realistic approach.

I was banded Feb 20th,had my first fill April 3rd of 1.8cc felt no restriction when I came home,yet seen the difference on the before and after on the flouro.Anyways I went for my second fill on may 2 and flouro proved no restriction,the Dr then proceeded to withdrawal the old 1.8 cc.He found NOTHING.He said he didn't understand why it was empty! Has this ever happened to anyone?He then put another 1.8 cc and sent me home.I am to call if I have a problems.I do have a slight restriction now but it's only been 1 week.I am just hoping it's not a leak and this has happened to other people.Please let me know what you all think.

I was banded Feb 20,06,had my first fill April 3th ,a fill of 1.8cc.Did have a flouro and noticed the barium slowed alot but went home and never felt restriction.Waited 4 weeks and went for my 2nd fill yesterday and when Dr tryed to withdrawal the old fill he found that it was completely empty,he commented that "he didn't understand why it was empty but didn't like it at all" he then proceeded to fill me with 2cc which was too tight ,took out .2 then sent me home! How do I know if I have a leak? Today I have very good restriction but I don't know if it's because of the swelling from filling that was way too tight,me throwing up water and barium then withdrawling .2cc I don't know what to do to check for a leak or what I should ask of the Dr besides the obvious but after he filled me back up,he didn't seem worried anymore but I am very worried.Has anyone ever had this experience?

What did you eat 3/4 cup of?I tryed to find the previous post but couldn't find it,but whatever it is,I would like to try it too.You said you got full faster?I need that!:uwelcome: Yesterday since I was on the go I ate a few wheat thins for breakfast,I took them with me in the car:guess so I ended up eating them during lunch,wasn't hungry for a while so waited for dinner and ended up eating a WHOLE carne asada burrito! I have 1 fill ,1.8cc and I am still able to stuff down a whole burrito! :confused:Actually I just ate the inside (meat,guacamole,salsa) the tortilla won't go down.I don't get any full feelings.I need help,I don't get another fill until May 2,even then I think the Dr gives only .5cc at a time! :help: 2/20/06 Dr Kuri Lisa 255/222/120

Tammy, Hopefully the 2nd fill works for you.I'm counting on that 2nd fill too.I am hungry!I have less restriction than I had with no fill,how is that possible.I want the feeling of not feeling hungry all the time.That great feeling I hear so much about.I force myself to be on a strict diet right now eating once,maybe twice a day.no breakfast,a weight watcher meal with a large green salad (even cut out the croutons and cheese) and for dinner maybe the same as lunch or just the salad,late at night a yogurt,and still STUCK at this weight.All this hard work and nothing to show for it.I'm so frustrated.I don't even feel motivated to use the treadmill because even that shows no results. Michelle.do you know how often the fillcenter will fill a person?Do they make you wait 4 weeks in between fills. Hi everyone!I was banded February 20,2006,by Dr Kuri in Mexico.I started at 255.Lost 30 pounds before my first fill on April 4th.Was filled with 1.8cc by Dr Kuri.Since the fill I've only lost 2 pounds and before the fill I was stuck at the same weight for 2 weeks,So from how I figure it I've been at this same weight for a month.Give or take 2 pounds! I'm so frustrated,and starving.This fill did NOTHING for me at all.I'm able to eat exactly the same way as before the fill.My Dr is another one who move SO slowly with fills,and he'll only fill a person once every 4 weeks.I beleive the next fills are only going to be .5 each time!I've read other people have more aggresive fills out here is the US,where can I find one of these DR's?I live in Riverside,Ca.
