Hi November Bansters,
I have my date as Nov. 24th! I can't wait. The two week liquid protien diet is tough, but by using this site I am so motivated that the difficulty dissapears. I hope all of you who are before me post your experiences after your procedures. I am very curious as to how much you were able to move around and your pain levels.
Best wishes to all of you

I have been approved by Aetna, It took about a month. I am 5ft. 3 and weigh 219 pounds which worked out to exactly 40 bmi. I have a couple of co mobidities, but nothing serious. I believe they are pretty good about allowing if you are between 35 and 39 BMI and have diabetes or other comorbiditis. I worked with a terrific group here in bakersfield that did all of the applications for insurance and have a wonderful support group. I am scheduled for surgery Nov. 24th and can't wait!
Hope the info helps.

I was banded one day earlier on the 24th. I found moving around really helped with the gas. I was suprised how sore my shoulder area was. By this my sixth day the only pain I have is an occasionaly muscle contraction where my port was placed. If I drink more liquids than I should I also feel bloated. If this happens I find walking and spreading my chest open by pushing my shoulders back really helps.
