its better, i started taking it easy and it calmed way down, so i think i just pulled something. i didnt go to doctor. :thumbup:

i think im running into this, but its very painful like some one kicked me in the ribs. i was thinking maybe i had torn some sutures where the port is attached to muscle. or maybe just pulled some muscle. i'm calling the doc 2morrow to ask. its been like 2 days now.

hey all, i got banded on Nov. 5th. saw my pcp on the 12th, and she dropped my water pill!!!!! 4 more scripts to go! and i cant wear alot of my bigger jeans. saw the band doc on 17th, but i dont no what i did tuesday my side is fricken killing me like i fell hard on it.i dont see any bruising or anything i think i will call the office tomorrow and ask the nurse what she thinks unless any of u have heard of this and i am just being paranoid.

oh good idea, i was having the same issues i am getting the worse hunger pains, i will try an extra protein shake at nite myself

I found some books on amazon, just type in lapband cookbook, or chef dave fouts. Im newly banded so im looking for clear liquids

hmmm, might give my parents an excuse to give me a cool gold bracelet, since im allergic to most other metals and latex. put a little red enamel cross on it. why not?! support the economy!

i hope it works out annev. my sis-in-law told me dr.oh cheated on his wife with his nurse when he was married but that is all the negative stuff i have heard.

i agree, i think if its been a year, u might wanna save up for a little tummy tuck

hey my internet was down, and i could do nothing. so no food and no internet and pain to boot...it was hell! got banded on nov 5th. lots of pain. im on liquid narcotics. thanks doc! just kidding to sore to refill my little teaspoon. im on clear liquids no caffeine no sugar no protein shakes 1 week, 2 weeks liquids, then 2 weeks mushy, then 2 weeks softs, then at 9 weeks solids. and what are softs anyway? i asked no answer was forth coming. must be more mushies

hmm maybe you should swich doctors? it shouldnt matter who your doctor is for fills.

i had my surgery. that CO2 is a real pain in the neck literally! but its finally absorbing in my system. I wish i had packed along my migraine medicine. i might have a lower tolerance of pain than most people due to the migraine factor, i've heard that. i didn't really use the morphine much, and i hardly slept. it was very noisey and they do wake you every two hours or so. i was the last one to leave from the day before from surgery, the nurses after surgery were wonderful hanna and carol, but they rest were kinda stupid but the once before i left i think her name was vicky was good too. dr. srikanth was great, i was really impressed with his bedside manners.:thumbs_up:

should have gotten info when you went to the nutrition class, (pink pages). doctor will give you thoose and the booklet again if you lost it. i had to ask for it again myself.

on nov. 5th. i lost 15 pounds before liquid diet, but only lost 10 on liquid, not sure why. do they they calculate all pounds or just the liquid diet weight loss?

I got approved, and I am running to get my lapband. I have had friends get approved then denied before they had surgery and I am not about to go through that. anyway i was geting sick of the clear liquid diet and came across this website, and well, here i am. i am a pretty fun person if a little distracted with school, but feel free to write me and i would love some recipe ideas, any thing. however, i am a person that cannot keep bad stuff in the house, so if i gotta strain it out, dont suggest it. thanks, monika:smile2:

Just have the waiter give you and your hubby a seperate check, thats what i do all the time. it takes like 2 seconds.

you know you can just eat the salad and breadsticks. its like $5. and then if your friend was to get the tour of italy that it like 2 Pasta things and a piece of chicken....plenty of food for 2. you will probably have left overs still. well just a menu suggesting. my doc said no pastas forever, but i doubt i will stick to that.

my doc said, no way these run through you too fast, and to stay away from them. so i was denied. but they did look like a good idea

I am with Dr. Srikanth myself. He seems great to me, but I haven't been banded yet. I am scheduled for Nov. 5th. So far i am on the clear liquid pre-op diet well guess its also the post-op diet too. I found the facility to be exactly that execellent. He is very friendly and his staff is very nice and i think most have been patients. So far, i would recommend him.

NOV. 5th for me. HAting this clear liquid, no cafine no sugar diet, yuck! sick and tired of all the pills and needles,protein drinks and now i have to have Iron infusions....sheesh i must be all out of whack! who'd of thought! well anything to loose the weight and not die of a heart attack. I live alone ( well with the kitty) and family is kinda busy with their own familys, so i am a little nervous about handling everything by myself. lol i already made a big chart to track the meds and stuff i need to take it takes up the whole wall in the kitchen. my best friend is being very unsupportive about this, i just dont understand why, every one else is being supportive. its very fustrating, since i spend so much time with her. i cant even talk to her about it, she just starts getting all angry. :teeth_smile:
