    LapBand Food Stages Lists Suggestions

Hi- This is very helpful- confirms my choices. My diet right now is very similar to yours, if smaller by about a third. In lieu of the variety of snax you have, I eat small salads. Sometimes I have a "Creamsicle" (Do you still have those in the US?), an ice cream treat for 34 calories, or an ices for 0 calories.

Calories are helpful- at least to me- in addition to quantity. How much can you eat? My doctor relies on patients' abiity to recognize the new version of fullness and for us to stop eating at the right point...provided you've started with a "small portion." Protein is top of the list for what to eat but having some rice or beans and green veg gives one a good feeling. I love to have a bit of tossed salad as a between-meal snack. Phil

    Did you tell your Doc?

No, I don't tell any of my docs unless I want to make sure they've read and understood the signals. My partner and I go to important medical appointments together and every one of our doctors knows we hold each others' medical power-of-attorney. If you don't have one, in writing, do it soon. You never know if you may need it.

Thanks for this posting- it's really helpful. I've gotten pretty general instructions..."eat small portions". which was well-intentioned but I need more definition. I've been eating solid food for 3 days now- and your list will help me greatly in menu planning!
  9. Hi- I'm barely 36 hours post-op and already concerned about constipation. I'm usually very regular but I know that's connected to a diet high in fibers. I don't think I'll be having fibers for a while... I'd appreciate any tips you guys can share. I've never used a laxtive and know nothing about them. Phil:frown:
