Eharmony SUCKS! Class action lawsuit underway!

Yep, I can't wait. Good luck with your fill! I hope you get restriction!
  2. I haven't, but I have the BEST recipe for lasagna out there. It calls for 4 whole cups of mozzarella and at least a cup of ricotta (maybe more, if you want, but it gets mixed with oregano for some extra flavor) and a handful or two of parmesan. It's YUMMY.
  3. Or how about a nice, nutty parmesan reggiano shaved over some creamy risotto?

    Tanning tips?

Okay, I went and bought my minutes today. I didn't have time to start tanning, though. I got three visits (4 min, 9 min, and 11 or 14 min - can't remember). What's the difference between regular lotion and indoor tanning lotion?

    Tests right before surgery?

Yep, excited and nervous! I can't wait!
  6. You may not have said it, but you weren't disagreeing with Daffodil, and she definitely said it. To me, that signals that you agreed with her. And unfortunately, we're judged by the company we keep. That goes for all of us, I don't deny that. I've even spoken up on other threads and admitted that members of my side had gone too far. But you haven't, and to me, that says volumes.

    Money Talks.......

Well, now it looks like she might be going back to the slammer. Apparently, the judge that sentenced her specifically ordered no release with electronic monitoring. There's a hearing tomorrow morning to see if the sheriff's department was in contempt of court when they released her to house arrest.
  8. Here's a link to the results of a whole lot of polls on abortion. Most of them have several years of results. Abortion

Eharmony SUCKS! Class action lawsuit underway!

Yep, it sickens me that folks like you and your hubby can't legally marry, when it's perfectly legal for some of the other folks on this site.
  10. Please see Mark's post above. He says it best, I think. To me, quite frankly, showing disrespect for someone's closely held, intensely examined beliefs is showing disrespect for that person. It shows that you don't believe that other people are honest enough, smart enough, or "good" enough to come to a decision that you intensely disagree with. It shows that you will never recognize that other people HAVE put time and effort into deciding what side to be on. You disrespect it and you disregard it, and yet you expect people to be swayed, even as you flaunt that disrespect. But like Mark said, keep it coming, please. People like you and Daffodil are the biggest enemies to your own side. No one listens to people who blatantly disrespect their beliefs.
  11. Because it shows that it is less than a waste of time to debate with you. You don't have the same level of respect for us as we have for you. You don't have to LIKE or AGREE with an opinion to RESPECT it. If you respect our opinions, you acknowledge that we have logical (at least to us) reasons for believing the way we do. You may not agree with them or think that they're right, but we deserve to be treated with respect.

    Pedicure?

This is probably a stupid question, but does surgery ruin pedicures? I don't want to spend $30 on a pedicure right before surgery if it is going to be ruined by something they do. I don't know WHY it would be ruined, but I could have sworn someone in a previous thread posted something about them removing nail polish when they prep you for surgery. Unfortunately, it's been so long ago that I don't remember which thread it was in.
  13. Does that heart beat when it is separated from its incubator? If not, then yes. If it does, then no. If a being cannot be separated from another, it is NOT a separate being.

    Pedicure?

Cool! I never get manicures (they last about 10 minutes before I screw them up), so I should be fine, then.
  15. You sure didn't tell Daffodil to back down when she called us that. To me, that says that you agree with her.
  16. And you've called (or as good as called) us murderers, baby killers, and basically equated us to Nazis and slave-owners (since, of course THEY didn't see their victims as human either, you said). So what's the worst offense here? Being accused of spreading tripe or being accused of murder?
  17. I have to agree with you.
  18. Where were you called names? Seriously, I must have missed that post.
  19. And speaking as someone who would be likely to choose abortion if I discovered tomorrow that I was pregnant, your approach isn't swaying me from my position in the least. Now Neicyrenee, on the other hand, possibly could. She seems sympathetic and understanding. You seem harsh and demanding.
  20. But Gadgetlady, you never know if someone online is considering an abortion or not, or whether they may consider one in the future. Wouldn't it serve your purposes better to consider them ALL people considering an abortion? I can honestly tell you that if I was having to make a difficult choice in the future about whether or not I would be having an abortion, this thread WOULD play a part in my decision. Every time we hear the pro-life/pro-choice debate, we pick up and store little bits of information, we are affected by the tone of the debaters, etc. So what you say here CAN make a difference in someone's decision. It just might not be the difference you want. And yes, I don't doubt that you have changed SOME minds with the tactics that you use. But like several of us said earlier, you attract far more flies with honey than with vinegar. You may attract a few flies with vinegar, but you could attract dozens with honey.

    Money Talks.......

Yeah, that disgusts me. If it were anyone else, they would have just said, "Suck it up and deal with it." Pisses me off.
  22. The thing is, Gadgetlady, the whole purpose of a debate is to get your point of view across and maybe persuade someone to change their ideas, whether that person is the one you are debating with or just a bystander. You may be getting your opinion across, but you aren't persuading anyone. When you call someone a murderer, when you compare them to Nazis and slave-owners, when you call them baby-killers, you flip that little switch in their brain from "I'm listening, you might have a point" to "You're an extremist and you don't respect me, so why should I pay any attention to what you say?" Think of it this way: If I went around and yelled at all the pro-life people I talked to, telling them that they are nothing but a bunch of clinic-bombers and that they were going to be the down-fall of democracy and the American way, and compared their views of women to those of Islamic fascists, do you think they would be likely to jump ship and become pro-choice? No. It's a stupid way to try and change people's minds. When even pro-life people think you are going too far and not helping their cause, you might want to reconsider your methods.
  23. You do have a point, Mark. I had forgotten all about that post.

    Tanning tips?

Well, I just looked up Mystic Tan, and unfortunately, there aren't any places locally that offer it.

    Tanning tips?

Does the mystic tan transfer to anything? Does it get all over your clothes, sheets, etc?
