From what you've told us about her, I don't think I'd want her. She'd be telling people that I was about to expire. :tired

Ooh, I hadn't thought of putting bay leaves in. I'll have to try that next time. I'm going to freeze some of the chili, so that I'll have it whenever I want it.

That's what I would think, too. I've always understood "full liquids" to be liquids that you can drink through a straw but can't see through. Like milk, thin cream soups, stuff like that. "Mushies," to me, are very, very soft foods, like pureed vegetables, soups, pureed meats, etc. I've always though "soft foods" are just soft regular food, but aren't quite as soft and smooth as "mushies." Like a well-cooked carrot or other veggies. You still have to chew, but not as much as with regular food. Mushies, of course, are foods that you could go ahead and swollow, like oatmeal and cream of wheat.

Unexpected benefits....will they last?

My mom did that. In her case, vitamins did help. -
I mix a little cheese into mine. It tames the kick a little and adds some extra flavor.

Slang is.... Well, weird is the best word I can come up with.

I'm sure there'll be more flaming as soon as all the cast members join in. :guess :biggrin1:

I think you can keep them. :paranoid I don't do well around lots of people, anyway. I'm kind of a loner. While I wish my relationship with him had been different, it's really taught me a lot about how to treat other people. Kind of like being fat, you know? I take what he did to me and make sure that I don't do it to someone else. In the long run, even though it was hell on Earth while it was happening (in fact, if I'd had the balls to do it, I wouldn't be sitting here today, it got that bad), it's made me a better, stronger person.

Have you ever seen the animated ones that are like that? They're great!

I can't even imagine having 6 siblings. I've just got my older brother, and our relationship hasn't always been good (he emotionally abused me as a child).

Some of us are just condemned to having bad skin. I wish mine had improved. I need to go back on BC, it was the only thing that ever helped. -
Check Your Presidential Candidates Views .....

I matched up with Kucinich and Dodd the most. Which sucks, since they don't have a shot in hell of winning anything. Oh well, that's nothing new. I was in-line with Kucinich the last time he ran, too. Obama, Clinton, and Edwards aren't liberal enough for me, apparently. -
It was very, very delish! Kinda spicy, but nice. Filling, too. Less than a cup, and I was stuffed.

Oh hell, I'm gonna lie, of course. Well, I'll tell him that I'm a little behind where I wanted to be, but that it's just because I had health problems last semester, had surgery over the summer, and worked for my parents over the summer 'cause someone didn't get funding for his grad students. Which is all true, but didn't really affect me actually doing the work. I just didn't feel like it.

I honestly can't remember ever believing in Santa. I always knew my parents gave the presents. Even now, it's a bit of a joke between us, since they still give stuff at Christmas with "From: Santa" on it.

I ditto that. Especially about the long day. Got an email from my advisor, wanting me to come see him and give him an update on my thesis work. The problem is that I haven't actually worked on it since April. Yep, you heard right, APRIL. I'm pretty screwed. And I prefer Sex on the Beach or pina coladas to margaritas. Too sour, for me. And too much of an alcohol taste, for that matter.

I'm really not being patronizing, but I can be, if you want. I'm being rather gentle, more so than I would usually be.

If you want private conversation, take it to PM. Anything said in a public thread is fair game for anyone who wants to reply.

This is a spin-off of the accidentally deleted thread "Imposters piss me off." Every so often, I go over to OH, even though I hate it, just to see if anything useful has been posted. Afterwards, I mentally slap myself. Every. Single. Time. It's a damn good thing that I had my account there deleted. If I hadn't, I probably would have been banned by now. Either I read a post by SandyR (I try to avoid them, but some sneak through when I'm not expecting it) that makes me want to slap her and shake the people that actually listen to her or I run across a thread containing an online WWIII over some stupid thing. (Today it was one where someone had the audacity [gasp!] to say that they didn't feel a lot of sympathy for people who buy something they really can't afford, default on their loans, and subsequently have their possessions repo'd - apparently that didn't go over well.) :speechles Every time I go over there, I wonder why I did. But I guess I continue to think that there might be some redeeming feature to the forum (every so often, a decent bit of advice gets posted). :phanvan

Sweetie, you put it inside her quote, which made it appear that she said it.

I'll have to make that recipe. I got a bag of lentil last night at the grocery store.

Yes, garlic does make everything better! I always have to add garlic or extra garlic to just about everything. You can DEFINITELY smell when I'm cooking. I like meat, just not when I'm cooking for myself. If I cook for my family, I never worry about whether something is cooked enough, for some reason. It it's just for myself, though, I worry. Unless I'm making soup or chili. Then, I don't worry, since it usually cooks forever. I LOVE an excellent filet mignon. My brother's father-in-law is a chef, and we eat at his restaurant in Memphis occasionally (the food's on the house). He mostly does fish and seafood, which I don't eat, but he makes excellent filet mignon. It's top-notch meat, the best he can buy.

We were talking about disliking people that harass us by constantly coming to our doors. In my area, that's Mormons and Southern Baptists. I was explaining that while I dislike the practice, I can like the people. As long as they leave me alone.

See, my fave white carb was bread. When I was in elementary school, I'd literally get just a fruit punch and a plate of rolls for lunch. I physically can't eat that anymore. I can eat potatos and put them down once I'm full, they don't give me the same feeling as bread used to.

Have you tried taking GasX?
