Kentucky and Tennessee are both really wonderful places, if you are into nature. The US Southeast is one of the major biodiversity hotspots, even on a global scale. Lots and lots of great things to see.
-
Well, if you are ever back this way, you should go see it. I personally think that it's something that EVERY person in our nation needs to see at least once. Everything is covered, from slavery to the KKK to Jim Crow laws to the Civil Rights era to modern day, everything. It's hard to take in everything in one trip. It's definitely not a place for the light of heart, either. If your kids are very young, it might be a little much right now, because a lot of the images are just brutal.

Chai is basically a spicy tea. Cinnamon, cloves, pepper, that kind of thing, all mixed with black tea.
-
Aw, it was supposed to, I think. Blue packet? That sucks, too, 'cause I thought it was one of the better ones that they sent. A lot of the ones in the sampler aren't high quality protein (the cans, bullet, and that NASTY Delite crap, for starters), so I've actually still got about half the bag left. Try the Whey Gourmet Chocolate Peanut Butter and the Matrix Chocolate samples. Those were the best, IMO.

You should see Mammoth Cave, while you're in Kentucky.

If you can get to Memphis, you REALLY need to see the Civil Rights Museum. It's really incredible. I mean, it's the type of place you leave with a pit in your stomach.
-
Heh, you aren't too far from me, then. My parents live about two hours east of there, in Crossville, and I am currently in Kentucky.
-
What does that look like? I might have to find one for myself. I can't wear necklaces or rings (I get overheated), but my jewelry weaknesses are bracelets and earrings.
-
Geeze. You'd think they could figure out that they didn't like it from looking at the pictures. I always go for the cheaper stuff when it comes to jewelry. Amber, ethnic, natural stones, that kind of thing.
-
It's good to see you back, Sunta! We've definitely noticed your absence. :clap2: This was an interesting article on the whole Dumbledore subject.

Suggestions for alternative anti-inflammatory meds please!

If you are really hurting, I would go get some liquid Advil and take it with Water to wash it through your pouch. It's not something that you'd probably want to take every day, but once in a while won't hurt anything. -
Wow, it really sounds like you're being put through the wringer. I can't really give any advice, just tell you to hold on.
-
I love all the jewelry and the little statues and other art stuff. I found some great things there. Ack! Now you're making me want to go back. And I'm broke! :omg::paranoid

They actually recommend mixing it with the IDS Multi-Pro whey vanilla-cinnamon. I've got a bucket of the protein, and I still have my sample of tea, so I'll give it a try sometime.

That's why I don't like Ebay. People there are nuts and assholes. I went through a couple of periods where I was addicted to buying stuff off of there, so I just avoid going back, for fear that I'll get sucked back in.

You are preaching to the choir, sister! I completely agree. Right now, I can't eat much bread, but I'm quite happy with that, since I'm a bread addict. If I have a little, I want a LOT.

Do you think it's rude to correct another's grammar?
anonemouse replied to marnie723's topic in Rants & Raves
Yeah, so did I. Until you implied that anyone who likes to debate in this forum also likes to torture small animals. You also did it in your last post to me. "Leave the small animals alone" ring any bells? It's offensive, and don't even try to pretend that you didn't mean it that way. -

Well, it's nice that you admit that you aren't a very nice person. It's funny, though, that you never mentioned yourself in your comments. It was always "those people." Guess you are "those people," too, huh? I didn't take your "hunter" reference personally. In fact, I ignored that entire comment. And I STILL can't figure out why people can't understand that this is the RANTS AND RAVES FORUM. It's where you come on this site to RANT AND RAVE. It's fun, it's a stress reliever, and it's where anything goes. Why is that so hard to understand? No one here (well, almost no one, apparently) holds anything said against the person that says it. It's completely separate from the rest of the board. You come here to argue, to let off steam, to have fun. It's nothing more and nothing less. -
AWWW! Pretty boxer! I love the ones that have an overbite.

Hey Laura, what's your avatar? I just now noticed it.

Well, whatever gets you through, gets you through. At least you didn't actually eat it. -
Will know tomorrow if UHC denies...

Good luck! Let us know what they decided tomorrow, okay? -

Honestly, I didn't have to cheat in my post-op. Mainly because I didn't have a post-op diet. They gave me pureed stuff in the hospital and the surgeon told me to move on to soft solids whenever I started feeling hungry. -
OMG, that would definitely be my luck, if I ever got it. I have REALLY bad luck with getting cysts and abcesses, so I know that would probably be guaranteed to happen. I've even thought about getting my nipples pierced (once I get nice boobs, that is) and I've even thought about getting other piercings (lower down), but I just can't get the thought that they might get yanked out out of my head. Literally makes me squeeze my arms and legs together. Yowch.

I just can't get the image out of my head of a grocery bag or something getting caught on it and yanking it out. Owie.
