Have you guys ever had vinegar slaw? It's super good, especially if you like really tangy foods.

Isn't egg drop soup with no eggs chicken broth?

Have they found the Boxes Jesus was buried in?

Gadgetlady, was it one of those docudrama things, like the History Channel likes to run, or the Discovery Channel airs, that use actors to portray historical figures? I think I may have flipped past it at one point, and I thought I saw actors. If so, I hate that kind of program. Ick. I think they're funny, because they invariably hire horrendous actors, making the entire thing more humerous than educational. And I'm one who prefers my educational programs to be educational. -
This is a little funny in a really morbid, inappropriate way. Charging moose brings down hovering helicopter It reminds me of my Field Methods class (I have a degree in wildlife and fisheries science and am getting a master's in biology) when the professor was talking about some of the methods that you use to manage large game animals like moose or caribou. In some cases, if you need to examine them or put radio collars on them, you have to jump on their backs from helicopters (usually in cases where there is very deep snow and they can't lunge around and gore you easily).

Jodie, have you been evaluated for bipolar disorder (I haven't read the rest of the thread)? That is what immediately came to mind when you said that you were having unpredictable highs and lows. If you haven't, I would ask your university counsellor to do an evaluation or have one ordered.

So who actually watched the program? I confess that I forgot about it. I watched Iron Chef America instead. -
For President in '08, that is. Those candidates that are confirmed to be running or those that are highly likely to throw in their hats, please. Please don't bash anyone's favorite candidate. Explanations for why you do or don't support a particular candidate would be nice, also, instead of just saying "I don't like them" or "McCain". Hopefully, we can get a nice, civil discussion going (I put it in RnR just to be on the safe side). As most of you know, I am a Democrat. Personally, from what I have read about the Democratic candidates, I think Senator Biden seems to fit my beliefs the best. I think he is experienced, well-spoken, and appealing to a wider range of voters than some of the other Democratic candidates.

I just managed to do something to my back/neck area. I moved wrong and OW! You know, that area in your shoulders, but slightly to the right of you spine. The last time I did this, I was in pain for days, barely able to move my head or sleep (because of the incline of the pillow being too much and the incline of laying my head flat being too much).:omg::think

....ACCIDENTALLY. How the heck do you invade someone accidentally?:faint: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070302/ap_on_fe_st/mistaken_invasion To steal a quote from someone posting on a blog:

I was just over at OH, and there is a thread basically bashing Lapbandtalk for "having too many people that PB and slime". http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/LapBand/a,messageboard/action,replies/board_id,5359/cat_id,4959/topic_id,3232482/page,1/

They are very prevalent here in the South. Along with the Earnhart stickers and "In Loving Memory of Kitty 19xx-20xx). I don't doubt it happens. Whenever I see a roadside memorial, I crane my head to see if I can read the names.

If Al Gore decides to run, I'll definitely have to take a second look at who I would support. I think Hillary would be a pretty good candidate. I actually think she was the brains behind a lot of the stuff that went on during Bill's presidency. She just rubs me the wrong way, sometimes, especially over Iraq.

Wheetsin, it sounds like that might be a nerve problem. Is it sort of a shooting, sharp pain? It sounds a lot like the pain I get with my sciatic nerve occasionally (except in a different spot). Sometimes, it gets so bad that it is extremely painful to walk, and laying in certain positions makes it hurt really bad. It doesn't constantly hurt, though, just when I walk or lay in a certain position or move a certain way.

Thank you! You know, I haven't known you for long, but I think we are going to be friends. On the issue of leaving the board, I honestly don't get it. I mean, with every other message board I have ever belonged to, we could tell who we would be seeing again (whether or not they were in the same incarnation) just by whether or not they made a big, long, "woe is me" goodbye speech. Everyone that was serious about leaving (including me) just left one day and never came back.

Sadly (or not so sadly, I guess), yes. But then again, the internet has always been an addiction of mine. There is definitely something to the idea that a lot of obese people are more likely to have addictive personalities. At least, my addiction is not for something dangerous.

Yeah, the easiest thing to do is to STOP COMING BACK.

I couldn't get onto the site for about 24 hours. I just now have been able to get on, and this is the first time since sometime yesterday. I use Firefox, also, so it isn't just IE. I was actually able to get to the sitemap and see all the posts, but had no way to respond to any of them. It's amazing how addictive this site is. I stayed up about 2 hours longer than I should have last night, trying to get it to work, and then was basically trying it every half hour or so today since about 11:00 AM.

I just emailed the new surgeon's office, and the person I talked to said that they hadn't received my file from the old surgeon's office, which was supposedly faxed last Friday. These freaking delays never end! If it isn't one thing going wrong, it's another.

Oh my! I just snorted! You made me snort, you salad-bar Catholic, you!:pound::myscared: By the way, I wonder how a salad-bar Catholic differs from a salad-bar Protestant. Hmm. Something to think about. And I'm going to post this icon because it's cute and I never noticed it before.:croc:

It's just my muscles tightening up until I pull one. It happens every time I get really stressed out. Last time was because I was taking several really hard classes at the same time, and wound up having several big projects come due. The time before last was because I was moving with my family's "assistance" (note: never get two overprotective parents and an extremely bossy older brother help you move, get movers instead). This time, it is because I am trying to get most of my thesis done this semester, and I have about a month before I have to present my data, but I am WAY behind on it. So, strained muscles in my back.

Actually, that is not true. NO ONE believes that humans are descended from apes. The theory is that both apes and humans had the same ancestor. Apes went one way and human ancestors went the other. We are NOT descended from apes. That's one of the so-called "theories" that evolutionists are accused of all the time, and anyone who knows anything about evolution knows that the so-called "monkey-theory" isn't a theory that's accepted by ANY evolutionist with real credentials. You forget that scientists can tell the difference between plant and animal DNA. Heck, many plants and animals have had their entire genome mapped by this point. You can be assured that the DNA of a plant isn't going to be mistaken for the DNA of a person. And to say that the DNA found on the items would be from the tester.... Well, all I can say is that's on par with some of the great conspiracy theories. -
It's not nearly as bad, but it isn't going away, either. Instead of constantly hurting like it did last time, it is just hurting when I move certain ways.

If you have no interest in the topic, why reply?

Don't forget, also, that this also includes having your beliefs being called "salad bar Christianity" if they don't go along with those of the more conservative Christians here.

And I thought you didn't agree that was what was happening to the atheists!
