I am glad to her some of your experiences. I have had one fill and still don't feel much restriction. My Doctor is the slow but sure kind. I was banded on 11/19/08 and have only lost 22 pounds. It seems like most of you have lost a lot more. I don't know what i am doing wrong. I feel very down and wondering if I did the right thing. If I have to starve myself to lose that is the same as before. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Thank you for the update on fills. I get my first fill next week and I have been so scared. I had my surgery on 11/19 and so far have lost 17 pounds since the surgery. Can any of you tell me how much you have lost since surgery. I want to be sure I am track? Merry Christmas fellow banders and I know we will all have a very HAPPY New Year.

I had my surgery on Wednesday and all went great. I am having some pain but not too bad. I am so happy all of the November Bandsters are doing good. I have been drinking water, eating jello, and drinking protein drinks. I am really not hungry at all. Feels good to say that becasue it seemed like I was hungry all the time before. Keep up the good work everyone.

I can't wait for the 19th. I am scared and excited. Just ready to get going. I am going to the store to buy all the items I need for post op. Please everyone get on as soon as you can to let us know how you are doing. It is so wonderful to be able to share this experience with ohters. Good luck this week to everyone. We are about to start the best time of our lives healthier and happier.

I am so excited to hear these great reports from people in post surgery. Mine is 11/19 and I can't wait. I hope mine goes as well as yours sandy7777. You give me hope. Hi from Katy,TX. I am having my surgery on 11/19. I went to register today and of course pay the hospital. Boy that hurt but I am so happy I have made this move to a healthier life. I am glad to read about the med information that ws posted. I was wondering how I could still take my meds. Anyone knwo what type of pain meds they give you after surgery?

This is fantastic to have other Christians to talk to and pray with. I am having surgery on the 19th and have been asking myself the same things you are saying. I wonder if the Lord thinks I am weak to have to have this surgery to loose the weight. But I have tried everything and I am at the end of my rope. I pray that I am doing the right thing. Reading all of your posts gives me faith that I am on the right path. Please pray for me that I will have peace about my decison. My health is getting bad and I am on 3 medications. I feel with the help of this surgery I will get the weight off and be able to get off my meds. God speed to all of you.

Hi Everyone, I am going to have my surgery also on the 19th. Seems like the 19th is a big day for a lot of us. I am also trying to get as much information as I can. I am praying this is the answer for me. I have tried everything and this is my last hope. I too would love to take a vacation and be able to enjoy it. I get so tired and can't seem to keep up. It is scary to think about the surgery and how muy life will change. Food has been a comfort to me. Both my parents passed away and this last year I lost my last grandparent. I have let food control me and now I am ready to take control. I want to be healthy and I think this will get me there. This site is so fantastic. We can all lift each other up. I live in Katy,TX. Anyone live close? Are there any good support meetings? I can't wait to hear about how all of your surgeries go.:smile2:
