Maybe I can get my dad to bring my daughter to school that day and I can leave a bit early. I think LIz would be easier to deal with if I am there on time and just come in with you guys rather than showing up late!!! LOL!! Excited about seeing you guys there!!

Hey Pam ya get a fill on the 3rd!! We can have our own Kaiser group that day!! Maybe stop to eat on the way home or something!! Same with me I am fine with either of you coming in to see a fill but I do think my fill at 10:30 is right when your in class.............maybe that is when you take a break!! Ok I emailed Dr. Baggs today and told him I have NO RESTRICTION!! I let him know I am coming in for a fill on the 3rd!! Ah I am hoping for at least 1cc if not more........... Riley I also want to know who has the most lap band, does their own fills............how many lap bands a week ect. I am just really curious about all that too!! Candra ya ask them we all want to know........

Yea Pam I already check out your FB!! YOur kids are really cute!! My daughter would be impressed with your boys!! LOL. Candra ok cool I will come sit in. Just I know with Liz she could kick me out if your have your hubby there so I needed to check. I would love to come sit you guys. Robin will be in there too so that is cool I can see her too!! What time are you in there?? I leave SAc here at 7:15 or so and usually get to Richmond at 8:45 or 9am. I probably won't be there right when it starts but I am hoping Liz will let me in anyway............give her a hint I am coming?? I really want to see you guys!!

HEy Candra I have a fill on the 3rd at Richmond. I usually get their early anyway.........so if Liz lets me come into the class I would just have to leave for a bit to get my fill.........I am guessing I won't see Robin that day cause she will be in the pre op class with you guys.........I would love to come sit in with you guys!! Lets see how it goes!! I think you get done at noon so I could saty with your guys after my fill. I will have to ask Liz when I get there if I can come.......I am a SUPPORT person right?? You guys bringing the hubbies??

Yep Softs was a good stage............. I would advance myself if they forgot. I kept track of the days on my calender. But I would be considered to be "doing my own thing" if were to actually endorse that so I won't..............:-)

Tamra your more than halfway there!! Liquids is right after Jes!! And I love Ruby!! She is funny!! Did you see the one where she tried to get a job as a tour guide but kept talking about hauntings, murders and mafia during the tour!! So funny!! She didn't get the job!! Also looks like she is considering RNY onthe next episode..... I so want to see Big Medicine but so far can't find an episode. I have never seen that show but thanks to Pam heard about it............

Mine where glued and I have pictures post op on my blog. They totally fell off in 4 weeks. I didn't pull them off through just let them fall off..........

You will be glad ya did...............LOL Don't speak to soon you might outdo me!! :-) Sounds like Jes has the mouth though so maybe she will be the one to outdo me!! LOL. Hey Jes Maybe you should wear your fit flops to surgery. You know give yourself a boast post op!! LOL. I got hummus today too. The red pepper kind not sure what I think yet......... Candra Pureeds and mushies you get tired of pretty quick. Clears was hard cause you won't be hungry but you gotta try...........soft foods are the BESt stage you will be so ready. WOW this is really getting close!! What time is your pre op class? I want to try to see you guys that day. I would just come in as a support person if I didn't think Liz would get me.............LOL!!

My port doesn't stick out but I still have some tummy fat. If I put my arms up in the air (which is what I do when I get a fill put my arms up and than he can find it) than I can see it barely but I can feel it alot more now if I push around..........couldn't do that righ after surgery to much bloat and fat!! Ah Candra and Jess you do get alot of bloat after surgery from all the Water and gas that gets in the body. I felt like a little plump balloon for a few days and looked alot like a roly poly balloon!! At six weeks Dr. Baggs said I still had some of the bloat and swelling but he said totally normal..............all of that is gone now!! My port was all puffy for a couple of months but now nice and smooth if you don't count the fat roll.............LOL.

Pam I am on FB go into Candra's friend list and fine me. Or I can try to find you................ Oprah is on teen weight issues but looks like really good information........label reading and advice on weight.........is what I saw in 5 minutes. Just happy that band got a goo word in!! Tamra If your at goal by the surgeons appointment it is about 4 week out usually.........I think sometimes up to 6 when they are busy!!

Ah ok Oprah is also a obesity and nutrition show..........very cool I am gonna watch it later tonight since I got a whole 5 minutes!! Just enough to hear about the banding!!

Hey Ladies watching Oprah...........yep I made it home in time. Dr. Oz is on and a girl is asking him about gastric bypass. He told her that she has to work on nutrition and has to address her head hunger.........he called it eating to fill a whole..........and get this.........He told her for a younger person like her he would recommend banding over RNY......................... Oprah will come back on tonight at 9pm at least in Sacramento.......... He told her he was gonna help her look into the banding procedure..........I half expected him to tell her no way but I was pleasantly surprized!! Yea banding in the news!!

Also you can get the prunes in the babyfood jars that aren't to bad.........I used those post op a few times. But regardless of how they are packaged I don't like prunes. Ok back to protiens this week and yep I can't go either. Eating benvefiber and lots of water but still an issues and darn it adds pounds on the scale that I don't like..... One thing the works for me is hot tea!! Or a skinny vanilla latte................shhhss................sorta works too. I drink one right before a fill to clean me out for my weigh in.........but I didn't tell you all that!! You just thought you heard that. Gonna miss my girls at the next fill.................:-) But glad I don't have to do the drive over again so soon. I was just in the Bay area last week I am all drived out!! :-P

well most people ignore the elephant in the room but not me I have to go say hello to him and get him all stirred up............he probably saw me coming from a mile away and said I am gonna sit right on that girl today...........being she is so friendly and noticed the elephant in the room................why oh why do I have to look for elephants all the time................LOL!!

Jes I pulled my oxgyen mask off over and over it was giving me panic attacks in the recovery room.............I HATE those things I can't breathe with them on..........finally the nurse gave me a nose one instead and that worked out GREAT!!! She also stood there with me just telling me slow down your fine, breathe slower......it helped she was a very good nurse!! You'll survive. But Riley I thought you broght yours and didn't use it??

1 pound down since my last unfill...........LOL. So it can be done!! Success does exist!! Just need to keep it here or below until september 3rd!!

Riley I think that elephant lives in the recover room cause he was bugging my sitting on me and all that day too..........geez you would think he would get the hint he is not wanted there!! LOL. :-P Later girls

My incident last week and the whole unfill thing really shook me up for a few days..............I don't like taking steps backwards.............but it made me get really strict again with measuring and protiens so I think things work out for the best.............this has made me think hard and realized I can't totally relie on the band I have to do my part.......... But my confidence in the whole process took a hit last week and now I am back on my game stronger this week.......... We all have doubts!!

LIz didn't say what KIND of surgery she had!! We all wonder. She has lost ALOT of weight since she started to work at bariatrics...............she told us that story in the pre op class!! I wanted to ask her if she was banded cause she also said...............that the port hurts like a mother........and I wondered how she knows that unless she had it ...............but who knows!! Yea I wonder do what it is like to work for bariatrics and be heavy.......lots of peer pressure huh??

I am still afraid of that same thing Candra and I have been banded for 17 weeks now............I lose slow but I am going down steady now............so I am starting to really think this is the answer...........loving my band and not gaining it back even when I stall...............all thanks to the band I know.......... Totally hear ya!!

Well Candra maybe you will actually get to dress in the middle of the pre op room!! I tried but they won't let me!!! But you MIGHT be able to break that pattern!! LOL!! I remember telling Dr. Baggs the lights were off but someone was actually home............darn meds. He was laughing and trying not to.........but I have to admit looking back I was talking crazy stuff that day.......... I can't WAIT TO HEAR how you outdo me!! I wish I could be there with you!! And yep I was surprizingly calm that morning. I refused to let my mind debate anymore. I just went with it and didn't think...............or analyze it anymore. Cause ya all know I love to analyze stuff!! LOL Enjoy letting everyone take care of you. It was totally a ME day...........tons of attention on you that day!! Enjoy it!!

OH Dr. Baggs told me that one of his patients got a radiogy card in the mail and called an cancelled cause he told the radiologist he was having surgery that day he wouldn't be able to make it!!! LOL< LOL LOL!!! He told me don't do that!! That was one of the funniest things I heard that day. So the patient has a band and then no barium swallow appointment. Radiologist says they cancelled due to surgery that day..........no one figured it out but it caused problems for Dr. Baggs!!! You guys getting excited??

You will get some nerves the week before we all did........we will expect some debating and last minute thoughts from you all that week!! AFterwards people get sorta quiet that first week...........than bounce back on the boards.............Funny thing is we have seen enough people go through now that you sorta know the pattern........... Unless of course you are break all the patterns and do something shocking!! Liz was telling me once she has surgery and was telling inappropriate jokes the whole time and was horrified when she recovered and heard about it!! LOL. So who knows what stories you will have to tell!!

yea the 11:30 is for the swallow. YOu go in at 8am. I was actually on the table ready to go at 7:50am I remember looking.......... I got there at 6:45am and was checked in at 7am. Weight, gown, IV, heparin shot and got my liquids pumped in me.............go to the bathroom......ah with my IV a rolling behind me........not so cool. Gowns are way to huge.......ah nice warm blanket and lazy boy chair to relax in.......that was the nice part......than Dr. Baggs and anthesioligist come and talk to you for awhile......I asked for extra anti naseau meds...........than got my IPOD to chill but they were back in five minutes to get me........the anthesogilist walks you back. I had to say good bye to my glasses and go in not seeing a thing which is probably good.....get on the table the doc gets the gown loose and you lay down...........than boom they are all around you like flies......some strapping you to the table........some putting on face masks.......arms out.....I was joking around...........than gone!! Next thing I remember they are moving me to the recovery bed and I was in pain and than gone again............I slept a couple of hours.........than 11am barium swallow and by 11:30 waiting for Dr. Baggs to let me go........out the door at 12pm.............loopy as all get up but not in pain..........LOL :-P It goes fast!! Nurses were really nice all of them the OR nurse was really calm and reassuring...........she calmed me down with just her eyes........you can't see her smile by the way!! LOL.
