Yea Candra so glad your on!! So no more worrying about it your on the other side........... Can you believe your banded now?? It goes really fast once you get there and get moving......... Yep you will start to drop weight here in the next couple of days!! How is your husband handling it all? What about your family? What are you telling them?? Yep Candra must be just about done by now!! I know I was out by 9am my surgery day............can't wait to hear how she is doing!! :-)

Yep Riley I am interested in the dresses!! LOL. Chris I hear ya I have a few days like that too. Good thing your going back. I did not go back and put up with PB'ing several times a day for almost two weeks first.......by than I was so swollen I couldn't drink anything.........argh!! I also lost real quick but once I lost the restriction went up a couple.......... Seriously being to tight is NOT a good feeling. I get the ice cream!! I was doing ice cream and clear soups and half the time that wouldn't stay down either.......... It will feel good to get some out...... Having said that I am at 5cc's right now. Seriously not much restriction at all!! I was so tight at 5cc's back in June........couldn't even eat bread. Serious this time five doesn't give me any restriction..........

Yea Candra!! I was first in the morning too........I got out by 12 noon!! Will be thinking about you all day tomorrow.......check in as soon as you can!! You will be fine!! So exciting!! This time tomorrow you'll be banded!! And yep that MOM is a killer!! Works everytime!!

I am taking off the weekend and no internet access.......my sister lives out in the canyon so I am checking out this weekend!! Riley I have to drop off my daughter at 7:30 than I head to Pinole. Depends on traffic. After that I plan to start going to vacaville............. So no layoff but definetely a transfer. I just hope it is a transfer that I can work with. If I get nights or weekends I will have to quit.......being a single mom I can't do either of those. So still in limbo but I am gonna wait and see what happens! Who knows........ Jes and Candra. MOnday and Wednesday!!! Exciting!!

Oh mine is on the 24th of Sept and I need a fill..........I am going to Pinole but Vacaville in October. I wanted two fills in September in case my insurance gets messed up so I am headed back to Pinole................he did tell me to call about vacaville later this week to see if they get any september dates...........

oh the twist is if you accept the layoff they report you refused a job and you can't get unemployment....... But it I take the job.....I will be .98 and you have to be 1.0 to get unemployment..........so either way the county ends up not having to put money towards unemployment and upper management is bragging about it..........annoying!! Chris when is your appointment in Vacaville. I am pretty sure I am on that list too!!

I am packing to leave tomorrow. So need to get outta here.......been working like crazy closing cases today. Went to BOS meeting today to hear all the budget talk..........final vote tomorrow.........upper management sold us out I guess I shouldn't be to shocked.........they say one thing to us another thing up front.......GRRR So no news to report really. Waiting..........I didn't get a pink slip but I did get notification my position is on the list for deletion...........pink slips went out today and yesterday. They said 64......than 85..........now today they said 105 workers.............gone!! So just waiting for the other shoe to drop I guess..........they have two weeks for people laid off to leave than they decide what happens to the rest of us.......I know even if I stay I get laid off.......... The county plans to lay off....get this........everyone!! They they will hire you back part time .......less benefits it you don't like it they said you can take the layoff and leave........ So who know........waiting. I will be off a few days I am outta town in the morning.....

Hey all just checking in.........overbusy this week trying to get ready for vacation and get my office moved in between. All this stuff is crazy. Budget hearings. Sacramento County is blaming the State for everything. Pink slips started going out yesterday. I am NOT on the first round of cuts. 85 people were. 20 more than anticipated. It could go up another 20 by the end of the week. Lost alot of good friends. I did get a "your position is being deleted letter." I guess we figure out what that means next week. I know it is not great but after the final budget on Friday I will know what it means. If they fund 5 more positions than I get to stay, if they don't than............I have no idea where I end up. Could be anywhere. Management (one woman) gets to pick where you go if your position is deleted. Sorta scary cause this woman is not beyond putting her friends in good spots...........power in inept hands is scary!! I have not been impressed by her so I won't be picked for one of the better spots!! :-)

MoniqueQ it should be cleared out by than. Drink excessive amounts of water and excercise alot..........that will help you to get it out of your system and lose weight too!!!

Yea Candra I was absolutely NOT ready to be up and around 3 days after surgery. NO WAY I could have made cakes much less stood that long. The third and four day are the worse and than it starts to get better. I had plans to get toether with friends that first weekend after and I was no NOT up to it. Candra ask the others but I seriously doubt your gonna be ready to be up and around at day four.............she needs to chill out. DOes she know your having surgery? Cause I can't believe she is expecting you to do this. Or your step daughter needs to help you out. You need time to just rest.............seriously I have been there. No way you are gonna be up to that. Plus the meds make you really sleepy.................not eating much..................really bridezilla needs to chill out.................I would tell her what she did and tell her the results of her actions................. ahh I am irratated with her!! Ok off to work. I am so not looking forward to this week!!!

If your test dirty than I would guess your sugery is cancelled........I think you stay in the program but get referred to for a Drug abuse assessment and possible treatment first................if it is a minor issue not an addiction they probably make you test clean for awhile than reschedule the surgery........ Ah the thing I would worry about is it staying in your fat......cause we all know we wouldn't be getting surgery if we did'nt have some fat. My client who took six months to have it claer out of her system was very overweight............. When is your surgery MOnica??

THC stays in the system for up to six months. Depends on how much you have been using, how often and for how long. Also be aware that THC is stored in the fat. So the more weight you have on you the longer it will take to clear your system. I have alot of clients test until the THC is out of their system and the average if your not currently using is about 3-4 weeks........a few up to six weeks. Six months is possible but not likely.......... Ok but here is something that does work a bit. Exercise and tons of water will help lower your THC levels.......I mean alot of water and exercise..........LOL. Still takes while to get out of your system. I can tell by the amount of mg's how recently someone has used. MOst labs test the same way..........500 or above and you have recently used...........under 75 or so and it has been awhile........... So how long since you quit?? That is the question? Also be careful cause you get alot of meds the day of surgery and the anesthesia...........mixing that with THC could be lethal..........seriously I won't play around with that stuff.......anesthesia is no joke and I was 100% sober!! Just think about it.......if you have not used for a month or so you should be good.............

Yep they will test for THC (marijuana) and for nicotine. They make it clear at orientation that you aren't ready for surgery if your using caffiene, nicotine or illegal substances..............and let me give you a hint that stuff you buy to clean our your system doesn't work. The labs are set up to test down the minute trace of a drug!! I view hundreds of drug tests a day and I can assure you there is not a good way to cheat a drug test especially one taken at a hospital. I know that is not what you want to hear but it is the truth. If your stilling using THC you probably need to stop for awhile first and than have the surgery. It will be hard to stop after and THC is used to avoid things that have to addressed before/after surgery...........like feelings!! Hard, crappy, awful feelings that got you to this weight in the first place. Why make life harder for yourself?? This surgery is hard enough without dealing with extra stuff. Make sure your ready for this it is a HUGE step. ALl or nothing my friend..................either your ready or your not but your gonna be kicking yourself after if you weren't ready for this cause it is hard stuff any way you look at it. I am five months out and I love my band but it has been a crazy ride!!

I only saw Tom before surgery day. The anesthesologist I met the morning of surgery. He came to to talk to me with Dr. Baggs...........lots of joking and teasing!! LOL. Relaxed me though........... Hope you feel better nicole

I saw Tom Greenwood to and he gave me the anti nasuea medication. Only thing he said was I was a bit bloated or had to much water weight.........my ankles were swollen!! LOL. I wasn't liking that but ok......... Jes I wonder if you get to skip that if you get our PCP to sign instead but your gonna want the anti naseau stuff. I took that and also asked for more the day of surgery.........cause I have a weird stomach. I wan't nasuea at all. I did get alot of chest congestion after surgery. But OMG try to cough and it just about floors you so I had to let all the gunk sit in my lungs for a week or so until I cough without falling over..............LOL. Jes just keep on them!!

wow riley!! No kidney pain or anything...........sodium? TOM? BEtter watch that. Did you stop exercising? That might do it if your body is used to SO MUCH exercise...........wow. 16 days until we go back to see Dr. Baggs........... Girl you need to go pee.............duiretic??

Willow my PCP didn't want to give me the referral. I had to push the issues...........she wanted to do take this medication and be medically supervised. I said no and called my insurer to make sure I was covered. I got the list of requirements and highlighted them all and gave them to my PCP and told her I knew she didn't agree but I wanted a referral because I was sure this was the right thing for me...................she did it finally after a month of my pushing the issue. I saw her three weeks after surgery. She still didn't know much about the band I had to inform her but I do know she has referred a few other people after me............... I was 100 pounds overweight and 42 BMI. or 41.96....I was on the borderline.............. once you get to Kaiser bariatrics they are supportive there if you follow the rules and lose the weight........

But I don't have enough restriction at 5cc's. I go back in 16 days for another fill..........than maybe October with you girls..........I hope that vacaville thing is going by than!! Ladies I am having a hard time getting an email or phone number for the docs. As soon as I get that I think we need to flood vacaville with emails cause I sure would be happy having fills there...............emailed my PCP about the sacramento fills and or bariatrics at Folsom..........waiting to hear back............. Oh cleaning house..........

Ok I have to ask which doctor is doing the sleeve? I know Dr. Baggs does the most bands............ well I really want to know who the other surgeon was. I am gonna have to ask Dr. Baggs now!! LOL Stick around John!!

Didn't know about two surgeons!! Hmm I had Dr. Baggs who I love but I have no idea who else than...............when I was in the surgery room I only saw the anthesoilogist, nurse and Dr. Baggs. So I guess the second surgeon must have slipped in later..........ah I wish I know who was there!! Ok I guess they didn't want the sleeve for me I was given a choice of the lap band or RNY. Well John stick around we would love to have you!!

Hey John Wow sorry to hear your story!! But I think you will be happy with the sleeve I have heard good things and might have chosen that given the choice..........Kaiser Richmond wasn't doing the sleeve when I started. So who was your surgeon? You said you have worked with three out of four? Also is Richmond doing the sleeve. OMG 85 pounds is great. I would be almost to goal if I had lost that much. I am at 50 pounds down. Hang here with us!! Don't be a lurker join in !! LOL

Riley I hear you girlfriend...........I have been having a hard time to with all the work stress and money issues right now. Can't give up..............gotta keep going. yea Chris be careful with throwing up that would scare me too. But than again there are those of use who aren't pregnant that have down alot of that..............and my band didn't slip!! You'll be fine. Candi get an unfill just a bit. Seriously felt SO, SO much better after I got some of the fluid out........if you do it now it will be just a bit........if you try to stick it out like I did it might backfire on you.............I was really sick from being able to drink water..........that is what I got for waiting to long........... Riley so glad your back on I was missing you!!
