klutzyazhel replied to 303'sJourney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To me it feels like I ate way to fast and swallowed bites to big.. Oh, and for meats I chew pea sized pieces..I try to stick to this for all food though..I get stuck easy. -

klutzyazhel replied to MADE IT 2 MY GOAL..OH YEAH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
LOL, cute story..My hair is long, but it took my 10 years to get it long, so I'll keep those few extra pounds to keep my hair. But I highly doubt mine weighs much, as it thin...Kinda like how I am becoming, yeah! -
extra skin removal...does everyone have too??
klutzyazhel replied to tamra.'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am gonna have my arms lifted.I used to lift weights but at my age they are not gonna bounce back..It depends on you, age, body size & it takes time..when I wave, my arm wings keep waving, and I hate it.I can hide most everything else..I want whatever I can afford to look & feel better by having excess skin removed.. -
Has anyone else not been able to urinate after surgery?
klutzyazhel replied to rebahorn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have posted this before, I can't recall exactly how long it was, I think it was around 14 hours for me to finally go pee..Yes I said 14 hours..I have had surgery since then to have my right ovary removed(Nothing left but my left one now) and I had to self cath for 2 days. Doctor said it happens if they are working around the belly button for some reason..I have had bladder and have a bashful bladder..There is nothing worse than not being able to pee. It can become "VERY" painful.. -

Food hasn't gotten stuck. Anyone else?
klutzyazhel replied to serenity55's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will, we all do...It will take practice and patience..I still do it, even though I think I've chewed enough, sometimes it wasn't.I am tight in the AM and can almost eat anything come night time...And wow, was NOT aware at how much phlem/mucus our bodies make after we get stuck.. -

You were banded in Jan 09? That's alot of fluid in such a short time..I was banded back in Dec08, and only have maybe 4cc in a 10cc band..I went through the same thing a few weeks ago..I could keep the fluids down but nothing solid..I waited 2 weeks thinking too that It'll loosen, but never did..Went and had 1/4 cc removed. It helped..He had only placed 1/2cc in..After the first couple of fills, my doctor then backs way off..Hope you feel better..I think they should test the band fill with something thicker had water before we leave the office.. -

Icees are carbonated? Whoops!
klutzyazhel replied to shawnamarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What are icees? I'm allowed 1 soda a day, if I so choose..Although I rarely indulge. It'll be fine. -
Oh and I had 2 babies that both weighed over 9 pounds so yeah, I have a million stretch marks(EEWW) They are 24 and 21 now so I can't blame it on them anymore, lol!

It's very possible your body will/can go back..You are MUCH younger than I. Mine will not go back because I have been heavy for so long and I'm much older. There was a time my body went back but now, forget about it! Just wait a year or two to see..I'm checking in to see about having my arms lifted because I hate them more than any other part, because arms are seen more, I can hide my legs and butt and belly(although my tummy never was a big problem) Just alittle dunlap(lol)..

The biggest trick to NOT getting stuck is size of food..I have learned that pea size is just right for meats expecially..I have dealt with getting stuck so much and was to where I didn't want to eat..And the trick is to eat nothing bigger than a pea or a bean sized bite..Hope this helps..I guess we all gotta learn our own ways but thought this might be of some help..Also, remember what we/you/me swallow has to go through the hole the size of a straw..:glare:

Pea sized bites!!!

results not typical
klutzyazhel replied to 2Flyguys's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded 12-19-08 and to date am down 48 pounds..I hope in 3 more months to be down at least 25 more pounds..So yes, I'd say some of us do have results not typical of some others.. However I DON'T follow to a T! Bad, I know..But I gotta have chocolate some times..And my birthday was the 5th(april) so I had cake! Don't anybody shoot me..I'm still losing at a good pace..I do need to exercise more though..:mad2: OH, and congrats!!!:sneaky: -
I am SO thrilled..I was banded dec 18th 2008 and to date have lost 45 pounds, I am proud to say I'm finally back under 200...My 25th anniversary is this month and gonna have pictures taken(I have always hated to have them taken) and I can't wait to see them.I am by no means "thin" yet but I'm getting there...I had to share..I wish everyone great successes too!!

Warm fluid goes down, cold does not!
klutzyazhel posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a tiny 1/2cc.last monday, I'm guessing I'm too tight, but warm and hot liquids and soft foods go down, But cold and cool fluids and soft foods do not..Does anybody know why this is, and what can I do, if anything? And will it be ok to wait and see if it loosens up or should I get an unfill? I usually loosen up after 2 weeks.. -
