I got sick in a fancy restaraunt. The bathroom was 3 rooms away and I thought I could get the salad down. Nope! Came right back up onto my salad plate. Needless to say that course was over. -
I had P-Nuts once at the ballgame and had to run to the bathroom. They did not sit well.

I asked my surgeon about the carbonation and stretching of the pouch and he said it is a misconception. He said the bubbles my bother your lower stomach and soda is empty calories but it does not bother the pouch. -
I was wondering if any one who has reached their sweet spot has gotten sick for whatever reason and was able to vomit. I woke up last night not feeling well and had to throw up but nothing would come up from the stomach. It wanted to but I am perfectly tight right now and I couldn't get anything out. What do you do if you get the flu? Do you get an unfill so you can puke? Just looking for clues.

I would contact your insurance about program fees. It seems to me, that if they are covering the surgery, they would cover everything associated with it. I think the surgeons are looking for exta money. I only had my copay. I saw their nutrisionist and got all the literature and counsling with no cost to me. -

Hi, I have BC/BS of IL. I had all the requirements of the previous post plus 6 months with a nutrisionist and 5 years of documentation of being overweight. I don't know about the fee, my surgeon did not have one. I don't think it cost's $500 to submit paperwork that mostly you will have to collect yourself. -

The one thing I wish I knew was to bring anti-gas medicine to the sugery center. I suggest Phazime (sp?) It worked much better that the gas x strips. I am also a scaleaholic but slow and steady is the way to go. Listen to your clothes not the scale. -

i love my band. i would certinly do it all over again. don't worry about pb'ing. it's not as bad as it sounds. i just lean over and out comes the stuck food. no effort needed and it's not like it is a regular occurance.

What I don't understand is why people can't just mind their own business. How does two people of any sex getting married impact your life unless you directly know said couple? More people need to worry about themselves than everyone else.

Your Dr. didn't explain restriction? It is when your band is tightened to a point where the amount of food you eat is decreased. I didn't get good restriction until my fourth fill. You will definitly know when you get it. -

I thought after losing weight, shopping would be fun. It sucks. Everything is so expensive, you hate to buy anything that will only last a month or two. I also find that when your fat, the choices are limited so it's easier to just grab cloths. Now it takes forever because there are too many choices. Also, why are they making skinny clothes in the ugly fat clothes patterns? -
I also like the bigest loser cardio max video as long as you can do the lunges. Bob is a big lunger. It also had great kick boxing and the extras in the backround are real people. It's a video that makes you feel good. I think walmart.com has it for around $8

I'm going for fill #4 next week and I am either hungry or feel like crap because I ate to much to not feel hungry. I don't know what the answer is.

I get reoccuring shingles when stressed on my neck. They are painful and oozie. Pretty gross. I just put on neo sporin and try not to inch. If they are out in the open, I would try to cover them up with a clean bandage.

Don't let people get to you. I too started eating sooner than i was supposed to and had no problems. I spoke to my doctor about the whole busting stitches blah blah blah and he told me your band is only as good as the surgeon who put it in. Just don't over due it and you should be fine. I don't believe your ruining your hard work. You have to go with how you feel. Keep up the good work! -
Question about fees

I didn't have to pay any fees except for my out of pocket through insurance. I even had the doctor due the pre surgical tests and saw his nutrionist for 6 months. I had mine done in Chicago -
Find someone new quick. I've not lost a beat with my birth control since surgery. Good Luck
