I used to mash them up in one of those Drug Medicine bowls. Now I just take them whole. I'd suggest you mash them up till your band loosens up a bit and put them in a blender, inside of your shake. It used to work for me.

A friend asked me..on another forum, what supplements I am taking.. thought I'd post them here for anyone who would like to know. Fish Oil, 1,000 - has Omega 3's fatty acids, EPA and DHA. Helps to maintain heart and vascular health. Nitro Explosion - Has creatine, glucuronolactone, vincamine, caffeine and keyt amino acids, including L-arginine which is an essential precursor of nitric oxide which helps maintain blood vessel tone. The formula is equipped with electrolytes that the body can lose during intense workouts. Electrolytes help to regulate body fluids and important functions, such as muscle contraction. So yeah.....it boosts workouts (taken 30 min before) and also helps speed up the recovery of your muscles Biotin - helps promote growth and health of the hair, skin and nails. GNC's Women's Ultra Mega ACTIVE multi-vitamin - (This is an awesome new product) - It's premium performance multivitamin formula is for active women. Energy production, electrolyte replacement, bone health and antioxident support. MRM BCAA+G - An Amino Acid - You probably know that amino acids are the building blocks of protein. When you eat a protein food, it gets digested in the stomach and intestine into individual amino acids and short chains of amino acids that are small enough to be absorbed into the bloodstream. These amino acids have far reaching effects in the body from building and repairing tissues, to producing chemicals that enable our brains to function optimally. Essential amino acids cannot be made by the body. You must get them from complete protein foods or combinations of incomplete vegetable foods. There are 9 essential amino acids: histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, tryptophan, and valine. Your body can make non-essential amino acids by itself from vitamins and other amino acids. EAS - Phosphagen (I dont take this anymore but will again in a few months) Phosphagen from EAS uses carbohydrates for triggering insulin thereby transporting creatine more effectively. Apart from increased creatine delivery, Phosphagen increases cell volume and accelerates muscle gain. You should mix it well in water or juice and drink four servings for 5 days. Gradually decrease the intake to 1-2 servings in a day. The phosphagens are energy storage compounds, also known as high energy phosphate compounds, are chiefly found in muscular tissue in animals. They allow a high energy phosphate pool to be maintained in a concentration range which, if it all were ATP, would create problems due to the ATP consuming reactions in these tissues. As muscle tissues can have sudden demands for lots of energy, these compounds can maintain a reserve of high energy phosphates that can kick in as needed, to provide the energy that could not be immediately supplied by glycolysis or oxidative phosphorylation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phosphagen I drink: Isopure - whey protein isolate (more pure and higher quality protein about 90-98% pure and less fat and lactose per serving) Myoplex Lite - whey protein concentrate (concentrate - about 70-85% pure, the rest, fat and lactose) Spiru-tein - soy protein - also known as a plant protein (phytoestrogens) which is a plant estrogen. Lipo6 - Fat Loss excellerator - thermogenics That's about it I think, lol...

I am at 25.06% body fat from 38% and I am trying to get to 12 - 15% boyfat by Spring. It's time to kick some serious Telly ass. Been lifting kinda heavy for me. I have been hitting some all time highs with 65 - 95lbs in the arms muscle groups. Legs - 235lbs leg press Squats - 100lbs (working on 155lbs) As you can see by my pictures, I am not comfortable with anyone else taking my photos. Short-term goal: Drop 15 - 20lbs by the first of the year Long-term goal: Drop 10-15% in body fat Long-term goal: Gain 5lbs of muscle There is a shadow on my bicep, lol..in case you think it's muscle you see here. NOT!:speechles

Haha, DNA evidence, uh oh, lol! I have been having some headaches lately and I think birds are making birds nests with my hair. I had to compensate for the loss, thus...what you see in my avatar, lol.

Exercising more than ever & barely loosing
Telly replied to Bostongurl's topic in Fitness & Exercise
That's what happened to me several times. I would finally just let go and eat more and "BAM", the loss would surprise me. Lately I've been on a plateau and a friend reminded me to "just eat more" and my weight is coming off again, actually I need to update my sig info. Try not to weigh everyday if you can help it. Weigh once per week and at first, you'll probably eat more and see that the scale hasn't gone up or down, it's the same which is cool b/c you are eating more. Then a week or so later, the scale moves down. -
OOh, I think I posted in the wrong thread... but this thread is the right one. I had the TT back in October and all I can say is... the hair is starting to fall out again after it came to a screeching hault in August - November. The anesthesia, surgery (trauma) and weightloss..or whatever has triggered Telogen Effluvium once again. Yesterday and a few days before I've noticed that after I put in my hair pomade, I see hair in my hands and in between my fingers. I see the "bulb" of the root of my hair and it's coming out like it did before. I am going to try and have my breast augmentation surgery done within a month so that I can do this as my hair is already going through the "follicle shock" process. I can't keep losing my hair due to surgery after surgery..so I'll be getting it all done now. *sighs*
-
Ok guys. The inevitable has happened again. I had a tummy tuck in October and at that time, my hairloss was at a complete hault. Well since then and up to last week, I've noticed it's happening once again. I figure...if it's going to come out again like it did before b/c of the surgery/trauma...rapid weight loss...etc...to go ahead and have my breasts done soon so that my hair won't stop and start all over again. *sighs*

Lipo6 is a medium sized liquid capsule. It goes down pretty easily, I think. Horse pills are hard to swallow so i have one of those pill crusher thingy's.
-
Would you mind passing me "D" cup over there please, lol. D's girl! D's and wow at all the work you are doing. I'm happy for you and you'd be my size after your surgery. You'll be a very happy camper. I can't imagine what size everyone close to goal would be once they've had a tummy tuck. I'd imagine 2 sizes or so smaller.

Thanks Julie

How soon did everyone start excercising after
Telly replied to roxy123's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I kicked off my workout the day I returned home from Mexico (Dr. Rumbaut). No light strolls either. We're talking biking 6.5 miles - up to 31.5 in less than 2 months time..on a daily basis. Jogging/running within 3 weeks of surgery. The rest is history. -
Age, genes, length of time you've been obese - factors into how saggy your skin will be.

Hey try googling the product and specify size..such as ... http://www.footsmart.com/ProductList.aspx?productCategoryId=76&srccode=IAK8214H&cm_mmc=goog-_-Health-_-s-_-Knee_Support&gcid=S11773x005-c17KneeSu&KEYWORD=%22Knee+Support%22&src=FSpaid http://www.docortho.com/catalog/Knee-p-1-c-364.html?ovchn=GGL&ovcpn=KNEE+BRACE&ovcrn=knee+support&ovtac=PPC&gclid=CLSS59XViYkCFRwhNAodTGl3ZQ

Regular leisure walking is not enough. Walking briskly and in intervals of fast, slow, intermediate pace is good and will be very beneficial to your health, as well as aid you in weightloss. If you do join a gym, I suggest the Elliptical (low impact on the knees) but you are able to have an actual "cardio" workout on it without killing your joints. Swimming - low to no impact on the knees and very therapeutic

Exercising more than ever & barely loosing

It's weird I know but... in order to lose weight (at this point in your active lifestyle) you have to eat. Food is fuel! -
Exercising more than ever & barely loosing
Telly replied to Bostongurl's topic in Fitness & Exercise
You are plateauing b/c you aren't eating enough. If you as active as I am then you need to up your protein and carbs. Your body is stuck at a cycle where you maintain b/c it's used to your caloric intake. If you "UP" your calories and still have the same workout routine.. your body will then "let go" of starvation mode and allow you to lose again. Try it for a week. Up your calories by 200 a day. Eat more carbs... eat a potato right after a workout and up your protein to about 170g per day, 99 - 120 carbs per day and watch the weight come off. -

Alexandra..I'm happy to read that your husband is ok and also happy to read that your "OOOPS" day is over and done with. Take a deep breath and focus on you and why you got the band in the first place. We know the band can't fix our head so we have to fight ourselves..and fight hard. You are a strong woman and you have control.

I've had 1 fill and that was Sept 15th I believe. It has loosened up a bit but I am getting a complete unfill and in the interim, it takes me 1 hour-ish to eat like that.

What would the boy/girl you were at 18... think of the MAN/WOMAN you are today?
Telly replied to Telly's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The 18 year old me would think that the 30 year old me (today) is and has become a true "survivor" and a much better mother. The 18 year old me would be surprised that we went and graduated from college despite the lack of support. My 18 yr old self would be in shock b/c she thought that we'd be a single mother forever and loving it, to marrying again and creating a new family and loving it. The 18 year old me would be disappointed that the 30 year old me moved around the country, too far from her family. She'd be upset that I didn't live closer to dad..where I could have taken better care of him before he passed. The 20 year old me would be surprised at we were still alive and not in some ditch with our face to the ground and still, at the rate we were going. The 26 year old me would think that the 30 year old me has finally grown up and become wiser in the past 4 years. She'd be proud and very shocked that the 30 year old me was business savvy and an entrepeneur just like dad, from never being able to hold down a job for more than a year (out of boredom). She'd be very disappointed that I gained over 100lbs but proud that I did something about it. All in all....the 18, 20, 26 year old me would be ashamed at alot of the decisions she made through the years, but happy at how those decisions molded me into the woman I am today.
