Parv/Jess, would you mind showing us updated pics of you healed? You looked awesome in your pictures, even the before surgery ones. Oh and would you be able to tell me at what weight maybe your doc recommended you get the PS? Was it 5-10lbs above your goal weight? Or do you reach goal weight and then perform the PS?

You got it EmileeKaye! I'm there girl! As soon as I do get my chit together, I'm there. Oh yeah, put your man's pic up so they can all see how fioonneeee he is. You two are a hot couple, no doubt. Trish's hubby is hotness too, actually I told Tricia once that if I were a man, she'd be mine..

I still can't find the smiley face that Tricia used. I swear I have never ever seen that one before, lol. -
LOL, in that case, is there such a thing as OCED - Obsessive compulsive eating disorder (fake diagnosis). The fact remains, every single person can be diagnosed with something. Maybe I could develop an OC disorder and maybe not. Lots of people have addictive personalities to include people who are addicted to the internet and forums. Harmful? Maybe. I have changed my lifestyle and god I love what I am doing. Yes, my goal is to lose weight first, then body sculpt. I have an aunt who is a body builder and has been all her life. She spends 3 hours in the gym everyday, EVERY SINGLE DAY and she has 3 shakes per day and 2 meals, with 3 Protein bars, sports drinks, mad Water, etc. My aunt takes in 4000+ calories per day, per her words. I can't believe that. But she wouldn't lie. She's been doing this since I was a baby and guess what?? She's still alive! No complications, no organ issues, she lives a very normal athletes life and I want to as well. Nothing wrong with that. Not that I NEED to justify my diet with you but I will. I prefer to have 2 shakes a day b/c it makes me feel less groggy and keeps me feeling light on my feet. Whether you think that's normal or not, I don't really care. The fact remains that I am packing my body with mucho much Vitamins, protein and all that good stuff that you just can't get out of regular, steroid riddened meats or foods, with lots of preservatives and a bunch of other things I cant even pronounce, not to include pesticides. Please don't even get me started. Please do not compare me to your friend. At the same time, my goal is to be at my optimum health, so please understand that. I wear a sauna suit twice per week. You have your opinion about how healthy it is, but retaining too much water is not healthy. In fact BAD for you. I used to have watered out, swollen ankles and let me tell you. Those days are over. No more water ankles. The end goal for me is not thinner, it is a healthier me. Cinward, you stated normal exercise, normal foods. Seriously though, do you think that the foods you buy and eat are normal foods? Normal as far as American standars normal? Or normal as in, the most healthiest normal you can get. In that case, only organic foods would be normal and eating none of the meat that is farmed would be considered normal. Is normal exercise to you.. 15 minutes of cardio? There is no normal when it comes to body training. My diet is perfect for me and I am sure there is nothing wrong with it.

Received a PM about my goals and weight loss, I completely understand about the possibility of organ damage should I lose too much weight too fast. Don't get me wrong, I do care about my organs and I want to keep my bladder and my liver, but I really can't stop what I'm doing. I feel guilty if I haven't gotten in my exercise first thing in the morning and then again at night. I beat myself up for that. Please be rest assured that I am doing alot of the "Right" things. Here is my typical day: Typical Day for Me 16.5-18 mile bike ride (35 miles Sunday's only, so typically 120+ miles per week on the bike) 2-4 mile walk/jog/run 200 crunches B-Isopure Protein shake S-Light Dannon Yogurt Drink L-1/2 Myoplex Protein Shake S-1-2 slices of lunch meat (lean turkey or chicken) D-3-6 oz of food, which would include Baked Fish (Talapia/Tuna/Salmon) 1 cup of broccoli, 1/4 cup of baked potatoes 64fl oz - 128fl oz of Water (sometimes more depending on the distance I bike) I'm not perfect, no one is. I also beat myself up for having a cup of ice cream in May when I took my kids to their dance rehearsal. Oh yeah, I even had Kettle corn one night as I worked. Yes I am losing weight pretty fast comparitively speaking but as you see, I do more than the average banded person as far as exercise. Now that I have joined Gold's Gym, I will be bumping up my cardio, putting in 2-3 hours, switching it up from home workouts to in gym, elliptical/propak and soon weight lifting. I have hired a personal trainer who will get me reacclamated with the machines, to include alot of new machines and will get me lifting weights and body sculpting. The band was my very first move in showing how serious I am about getting healthier. I biked only up to 6.5 miles prior to being banded. That was all I could do. I would be exhausted before I could reach my driveway, but now I can do up to 40 miles in almost 3 hours and I know I am progressing. I am not bragging here. Please don't take it as that. Just know that with time, we get better at what we do. I'm getting very serious about my health, my overall physical appearance and mental health as well. If I should damage any of my precious organs, then that will be on me and I have been warned. I will speak with my PCP and a Nutritionist next week to ensure I am not doing something that would kill me... (not doing what I'm doing now WILL kill me

LOL! ROFLMAO! .............................. THIS THREAD ROCKS! -
I know, I'm a freak about "Goal" now. Some people say it's not obtainable, some say, it's ludicrous, some say it's not typical. I say..... "watch me" We are gonna drink it up girl. You just tell me where you wanna go and we will throw up some ideas. LOL! I know of 2 really bad places I'd love to take my lil sis, it's called "Lucky Chang's" - it's a drag queen restaurant. Your waiters are all queens, in drag, like LAs Vegas Drag. lol and another place is .. "La Maison De Sade" it's an S&M Supper Club. She want's to have a memorable weekend so I'd like to accomplish that. What do you think? lol!

Hey Lins12, I'm alive and well. Ty, I'm glad you joined GFG, things are so much more fun with you here too. You have a zany personality. love it!
-
Aww. Don't deprive yourself, just use the "moderation" rule. Instead of a tablespoonful, use a teaspoon. Give yourself that "one thing" treat everyweek if you have to so you don't go crazy and binge. You can do this lins12. The food is talking to you. Tune it out, lol.
-
You are doing terrific. I'm proud of you. Glad you joined GFG Club and you are moving moving moving! Yay for Ali!

Mary Ann, I'm glad I opted not to do the Open RNY procedure. Just didn't feel right, didn't seem right. I love this band. Haha Beyonce? Pfffffft! In my dreams. Thank you for the compliment. My body has quite a bit of work to do yet but I'm trying and baby...when I reach my goal, I'm posting full nudes on here, lol! Ok maybe not full nudes, unless it's in the Plastic Surgery thread. I will have a TT done and won't mind showing a before surgery/after surgery photo. But yeah, I'll be most proud then. Thank you again Mary Ann, muaaahhhzzz!

Definately would love to. I used to live in Park Slope on Prospect Park West, (150 Prospect Park West). Right on the 9th street entry to the park where they play all the summer music. I lived upstairs and would just open my window to hear the bands play and watch them on stage. I could walk to the theatre about 4 blocks down the street and my lil boy used to go to Holy Name School, 8 blocks down. We used to frequent "Dizzy's" on the corner of 9th and shopped at the flea markets there. God life was sweet but expensive. My apartment ran $2,600.00 per month. Life was crazy there but I had fun. Would love to meet up with you for dinner out or a night out on the town. My plan is to be at goal by late August (135lbs) and then party it up! You will have to join us.

Haha, too cute. I used to live in Brooklyn and worked at Pfizer in midtown, 42nd street. I was afraid to miss things too. NYC is a crazy life and major fun if you are single and childless. I wanna move back but it aint gonna happen. I'm headed to NYC in August. Mini-vaca with sis as a mini reward and first sis-to-sis outting.
-
Haha MaryB. You are so cute. I am jealous of your pool. I can't wait to get ours built. Emilee, I hope everything is well and that you are having fun. The most important thing is to maintain, you are on vacation so remember that when you don't lose as much as you normally would. You are doing great. Don't beat yourself up over that babycakes. Plans for today 18 mile bike hike 4 miles treadmill 200 crunches 30 pushups End of workout!!!

Everyone is doing lovely as usual. Folks, we are allowed to take a day off every blue moon, no problem. Today I biked 18miles (god this one hurt, seriously hurt, the wind was fierce). 4 mile bike ride tonight before bed.
-
I've just noticed that I haven't seen anyone on here that has reached goal, that has stuck around. It was a rhetorical question though.
-
I miss you guys too. Just things are busy as hell here. I wanna get a pool soon so I'm gonna work it! Gotta make those dead Presidents. Pumped, psyched, (amongst other things). Loving this banded life! Im loving the food too. DH made it. The smell hit me when I came in from the bike ride. It hit me like a brick and I didn't even dry off, I made a dash straight for my plate, lol! I drank down almost a 30 something ounces, I was famished. I start personal training Friday and I'm excited but scared too. I'm afraid he's gonna push me too hard. Ahh well, here goes! P.S., you guys are doing awesome. I'm loving how the numbers just keep going down with everyone. Way to go folks. Oh yeah, once we hit goal, do we continue to rummage lbt?

Wooohoo, 1 more pound and I'm officially a -50lb loser. 2 more pounds and I'm in the 180's!!! I'm exhausted tho, but it's feeling pretty sweet. I had 2 oz of scrambled eggs with smoked turkey meat, onions, little bit of low fat cheese and omG. Food tastes soo amazing now. Biked 18 miles this morning and after work gonna do 4 miles on the treadmill. I'm energized.:clap2:
