Wow Tricia. Look at that collar bone. It pertrudes skinny girl! You really do look soo tiny now. I'm impressed! Majorly. You are so beautiful too.
-
Helllooooooooooo beautiful pictured Lins12. Wow! You are a knockout. How dare you not post your picture sooner!

Iulizbug, That's how progress begins. You start off slow and work your way up but you are at 30minutes which is great. According to what I have read, the minimum required time spent on cardio in which your body begins to burn is 20minutes and you are at 30. Imagine 45 minutes to 60. The weight will just melt off then. Level 8 is intense, btw. Great going!:clap2:

Heathergurl, I love your excitement and you are doing awesome. You must be kicking some ass in the gym these days. I just wanna squeeze ya... (smiling as I read your post). You will fit into a 16 if not 14 by Sept. Do your thang girlfriend!

Haha, I'm one step ahead of Alberto. I was in the gym working it up. The weather sucks here. Oh and my personal trainer said that biking was good for cardio and all but it does my whole body no justice. He said that biking tends to only workout my lowerbody and I should spend every cardio workout session, doing it all. Recommended the Elliptical or treadmill with my arms swinging. So no more bike rides, at least till the sun comes back out, like tomorrow
-
Kristie, that is soo awesome. Not only did you go to the gym, you lost 2lbs, lost inches and you feel great! That's the best feeling. EmileeKaye - I think this is going to be fun. I can't wait to really get started. Today and tomorrow is all about getting reaquainted with the circuit machines and it was pretty cool. All of the equipment looked brand new and the machines made now are more reliant on the person's movements and more independent than they used to be. Before, they were just back and forth or up and down, only one way-ish. Now they move all around giving you full control. I like it better now. I'm gonna kick some major Melly ass these next few months. He gave me the Accreditation Schools name for where he got his certification. Says it's about Anatomy, Physiology and something else. I got the first 2 down pat. It's a weekend test, 2 days-ish I think. I will wait to see at the end of my goal.. if I still really want to do it. I learned so much from him today. He even said that he thought I had the personality that would make this line of work easy for me, etc. and... No he was not flirting, at least I wish he was. Haha, I'm just kidding.
-
Yeah it's costing me 35.00 per session as I took the bigger package but he told me that my goal weight and time frame I have was very realistic and with his guidance, he could get me there. He stressed the utter importance of nutrition as being one major factor with regards to continuous weight loss and proper muscle building/sculpting. We worked out on the circuit machines today, just to get reaquainted with the machines, not a real workout, but 1 set of 15 reps and seating numbers by example, etc. I expressed concern about lifting weights and if it would slow my weight loss and bulk me up, he stated, "NO WAY! If anything, you will lose weight faster, you will tone up and depending on the amount of weights you use, you can determine how big or how small you wish to be by manipulating repetitions and heaviness." He said it is going to be exciting to see me transform and watch me hit goal. He inquired about how much cardio I was doing and the frequency. I told him that I run or bike or both daily, at least 30 minutes to 2 hours. He thought that was great and stated that there would be no problem with continuous weight loss as long as I was reaching goal heartbeats per minute. I have been doing 145 - 165bpm and for my age, my minimum bpm for cardio zone is 123. He said it was a complete waste of time if I wanted to lose weight and didn't reach cardio zone, which is 65% over resting. He said he can burn just as many calories walking and have the same great workout as a person running on the treadmill, all he has to do is UP the incline. If I up the incline once per week .5% that my body would not be able to get used to the same workouts. He inquired about my nutrition. I told him what my diet consisted of and he felt that it was perfect for what I will be doing but that I may get hungrier and to ensure that I drink more shakes or eat more meat and a complex carb at least once per day. That's when I voiced concern about my diet again. I stated that I was drinking 2 shakes per day, yogurt and nice hearty dinner, sometimes more yogurt depending on how hungry I am. He stated it was perfectly fine as long as I was eating in intervals, 5-6 meals per day, small meals and b/c I am drinking 2 of them, that was fine. I do need more wholesome meals that will ensure I stay full so that I don't munch or snack. He stated that I should have Shake for breakfast, yogurt snack, Shake for lunch, high protein meat/or tuna for snack, lean meat, veggies and complex carb for dinner and then if I am hungry again, have a yogurt (low fat or no calorie snack 2 hours before bedtime). Since the workout regimine he has planned for me will be intense, I need to take in more calories. I should be taking in a minimum of 1200 - 1,800 per day to start. Whoa! No freakin way! I am having a hard time getting in 1,000. But...I will try. He said it was really good to eat a baked potato right after a hard work out to replenish my body with complex carbs to ensure I maintain my energy level. We start serious training next week. Today and tomorrow is just planning and getting aquainted with the circuit machines. He said that we'd use them but not as much as we will use free weights:nervous

Dang Penni, Way to rock it girl! You did good!:clap2: Keep it up. Your exercise and your food (bad word here, "diet") I believe it can work for you. Keep posting here and let us know what and how you are doing.

Welcome home Tricia, missed you pootie head banana panties

Haha, wow Jenn, You are too sweet and it sounds like you and I both have been through similar things. I was an athlete prior to child bearing. I will hit goal even if it's not August, which I am trying to be realistic knowing it's a major probability. You are doing terrific. Not too many people can do cardio for more than an hour so I give you props for that. Would be great if you posted here daily... such as myself, doc, niche and tricia. We all need to counter-motivate one another. God knows I need it.

I have an uneven arm tan/burn and i need to head to the tanning bed, covering up my arms so they don't get darker and try to get the rest of my body tanned. I wonder if SPF 50 on those tanned areas would do the trick, while other body parts get darker. Any ideas?

Haha, nice collar bone Emilee.... just like Tricia...

How the heck is a person going to tell me that I am being very unrealistic about my weight loss goals and timeframes I set for myself? Telling me not to be surprised when it doesn't happen the way I want it to. I said I will be my goal weight come August. That's 18.5lbs per month at this point. Not too bad... not outlandish either. It's attainable. I know there will be fast and slow times. I expect that but I do not, I repeat, I do not like people putting stop signs in front of me. If I can do it and it's possible then damnit I'm doing it. I don't need a Gastric Bypass patient telling me that it's not going to happen for me and it's just unrealistic. Thanks for listening. Just had to vent for a hot NY second.

DD, I said OCED. Obessive Compulsive EATING disorder. There is no such a thing. I do know that there is OCD. I live with one. There is.. however a Compulsive eating disorder. Also, very true, only I have to answer to myself. Thank you for not judging me. I love people like you.

Hey, good idea for a thread. I am a 30 year old, soon to be 31 in December. I am mixed half Thai and half Puerto Rican. My husband is Puerto Rican. My son is 11 and daughter 4. I do not plan on having any more children but I did dream last night that I was pregnant and with a boy, (I remember feet moving around inside of me and rubbing my belly.) Oh geesh! I hope not! I'd rather adopt to be honest. I own a small medical consulting firm. Hubby is a Sales Coach for a large cell phone company. We have a Mini Doberman Pinscher named Lilo and a little blue Thai fighter fish named Stitch. We live in Florida and may soon relocate to Arkansas for real estate boom. I have a Bachelors in Science and a Masters of Science and I am the worst speller ever. I was an athlete throughout highschool and in college, Field Hockey, Track Team, Tennis and Swim Team. In highschool I weighed at most 125lbs and after my son, I skyrocketed to 205lbs. I lost most of my weight back down to 135-140lbs after my son was born. I spent many hours in the gym getting back to that weight. In 2001 I got pregnant with my daughter and went from 145lbs to 240lbs, gaining 95lbs. Since my daughter was born, I managed to get my weight down to 209lbs on the transformations program. Father passed away in 2003 and my weight went back up to 240lbs again. For all I know I could have weighed more but I threw away my scale. Prior to making the decision to do this surgery, I spent weeks cutting down on my food intake but the weight would not come off. I did not eliminate bad foods, just cut back on them. No results. I began to exercise and dropped 8lbs right before vacation in the Bahamas on 4/05 - 4/09/06. I flew to Monterrey on 4/10/06 and at preops was 235lbs. I gained 3lbs back while on vacation. Since my heaviest weight at 240 almost 2 months ago, I have lost 50lbs to date. I am down to 190, though i did see 189 last night. (peeped). My goal is to be 135 lbs by August which has become very controversial, with regards to the speed at which I am making myself lose. No biggie. I have 55lbs more to go and will reach goal. I plan on having a TT upon reaching 5 to 10lbs above goal weight. I also plan on having my armpit/breast area liposuctioned due to fatty spilling bewbies. I plan on lifting weights for body sculpting reasons, not competition reasons. I'd like to one day sell my business and take up something less sedentary and more active such as possibly personal training. That's about it.

I understand what you are saying cinward, but I don't believe there is anything wrong with drinking calories, banded or not. I am pretty sure that alot of people replace meals with Protein Shakes. Nothing wrong with that. I'm am not all liquid anymore, I do eat, trust me. *as she takes a bite of grilled chicken garden salad* Defensive? Somewhat b/c I felt you were incenuating possible ocd development in comparison to someone else you know and I don't believe you are qualified to say such a thing to anyone. It would be received as offensive I would assume. Everyone leads a different life and normalcy standards are according to that person and their lifestyle and routine. What may be normal for you may not be normal to me. I thought my family was abnormal and disfunctional, till I met other families..like the Fockers. Joke here. But thank you for your compliment. Compliments are always welcome. Thank you for your concern too, but if anyone should worry, should be my hubby since i threw out all the bad crappy normal food he was used to.

Some pictures of DH and kids. Some of these pictures are recent as in "April 2006" recent and some are as old as 2 years. Couldn't find alot of pics and I think we need to start taking more. Most of the pictures are with him and our daughter Eliana but I have managed to find some pictures of him and I at my highest weight. He gained some weight too, sympathy weight from when I was pregnant. I had our daughter in 2002 and before then were were both normal weight. I ballooned, he ballooned then, now I am losing and he has lost 15lbs recently. He was 262 and now 247. It is true that men lose very very fast. He only started to eat less and workout 2 weeks ago and drops 15lbs. The nerve! I love my Darling Husband.. DS and DD too. This one is 4 days before surgery. This next pic was taken 4/7/06 and I had surgery on 4/11/06
