I am three and 1/2 weeks banded....and I feel like I need some help staying the course. I can pretty much eat anything I want now. I regularly feel hungry. And I have had chocolate a few days running! I feel like I have fallen off the track. I don't want to sabotage the work of the band....Is this normal? I am having a fill next week...hoping that helps....but I live in fear of sabotaging myself. Any ideas? :help:

I feel silly, but something doesn't seem to add up to me. Any advice? I was banded one week ago today. I have eaten approx 1000kJ per day as per my dietition's direction. Liquid of course. While I haven't realy worked out, it is substantially less than should be required by my body to get through the day. And all I've lost is 1kg. Is that the same as everyone elses experience? Thanks

Angel - Not sure if you saw my response on the other thread, my doctor is Dr Garrett Smith at North Shore Weight Loss Surgey, at North Shore Private Hospital behind the Royal North Shore Hospital in St Leonards. http://www.nswls.com.au/ So far my discussions with him have been very honest and direct. I chose him because I felt other doctors was trying to sell me too hard.....I wanted a doctor not a salesman. Good luck

I am only one week banded and thought I would share some of the supermarket foods that I have founds that make sense for the liquids stage. Campbells Velish soups - good source of vegetables in this stage. Campbells Real Consumme - basially a chicken and beef broth, but with more of the real meat flavor and much higher in Protein than broths Nudie Fruit Juices Nudie Drinkable Yoghurt -Low fat vanilla yoghurt with touch of honey and vanilla bean....nothing wrong with this one!! All of these I have found in Sydney Woolworths and Coles. Might be spending a bit more for the Nudie's, but....if that's all you can eat you may as well enjoy! RightSize

Well, I am now 4 days post surgery. Apart from severe shoulder pain, it has been pretty straight forward. Usually I am superwoman, and bounce back from surgery quickly. I had a 1hour business meeting today, and I am glad I am not due back to work full time until next week. I'm tired and sore. I am not really hungry. I am eating the diet prescribed by my dietitian. I have not lost any weight yet....feels weird. I thought for sure I would have lost 2kgs by now. Anyway...for those facing the surgery...its not too bad. I most pain I have right now is the bruising on/in my stomach. More later, Right Size -

Thanks getonsamsom - Its always comforting to know that a couple of small vices can continue to play a small role in life. I will keep a close eye on the booze.

I have not been banded yet...1 month away. I am excited and scared about the beginning of a new phase of life! What will I leave behind? Anyway, I have not seen anything on this website about the impact on banding on your ability to drink alcohol? I know it seems funny...but I would like to know how my life will change. Thanks Rowena
