You can do it Libra, I know you can Also once your tom starts you will lose at least a lb or more in the first day or two easy.
-
How's everyone doing? Are you hanging in there Libra? I am rooting for you I fell off the wagon, I was so bad yesterday I didn't eat all day then had a huge burrito for dinner and late night snack (had to eat it in 2 sittings) I was stuffed to the gills, it was terrible. Talk about pouch packing. DH was trying to be nice by taking me out to dinner because I have been so stressed. Being stressed out I ate too much I think tomorrow I will fast. Have 3 protien shakes and lots of water, and a laxitive (beans)

Wow grats Julie, you are doing so fabulous! Keep it up I can totally relate to not wanting to get comfortable where you are at. I too am at a weight that I sat at for a long long time, I spent almost ten years flucuating between 290 and 310, then the last 3 years creeping up to my high. I do not want to stop here, I want to keep it going too, I do notice the head hunger teasing me though, just trying to resist it.

It'll happen, just drink lots of water and go for a walk

You can do it, I know you can

I feel everything going through my stoma to varying degrees and when I am feeling really tight I feel things in my throat area too as they go down. I think what you are experienceing is normal, try drinking something warm shortly before eating to open up your esophagus and relax all those muscles

THanks LapBandit, I like the blonde better too I have naturally blonde for half of my life and as I've gotten older my hair has darkened to light brown, yuck on me. I let it go natural (heaven only knows why) and changed it back to blonde when I started school. Blonde is definitely more me

Ok the before and after pics are posted on my big news thread. Didn't want to go thruogh all the cutting and pasting twice, lol. http://lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=23366 But I'll give ya'll the link, and no I did not brush my hair this morning, and no I do not go to school with my hair like that, lol. Please excuse my grooming and lack of makeup but one was the morning of surgery and the other... well today is my day off from looking all fancy, hehe. And thanks for all the encouragement

You have been at this a while Margo and are doing great. I went through this a little while ago. Inbetween my first fill and good restriction. I had been good for so long that finally I just needed the band to do most of the work for a while. I was just tired. I sounded like you when I was ready to recommit and refocus my first goal i made was to drink my water! I did baby steps, one goal at a time. Are you tracking calories? Do you need a fill? Hope everything gets back on track for you soon

I don't have any new pics yet. I need to take some tomorrow Today for the first time I looked in the mirror in my bedroom rather than the one in the bathroom which is really 3 mirrors and plays optical allusions as to size. So for the first time today I saw how much smaller I am getting. It was really exciting That and another skirt is on the ever increasing pile of too big and needs to be given away I have more clothes in that pile than in the closet hehe time to shop
-
Grats Indianlight Speaking of which, I was getting dressed this morning and decided to wear my favorite black skirt that I haven't had the opportunity to wear for a while. Well, it was so big it sat on my hips, widest part and with a little tug would come right off. It is a size 30, I guess my 30's are just way too big, it is now on my ever growing pile of clothes to be given away. I am gonna need some new clothes soon

Hey Josette I am so relieved about your lab results, as for your hubby, whop him upside the head and tell him to get out and find a new job. And remind him that you don't enjoy laundry, dishes and toilets but you do it anyway because it has to be done. My back is still hurting because I am back in school standing all day. I did a lot of hair today so a lot of lifting my arms up for extended periods and a lot of bending. Did 2 perms a haircut and a creative foil (with turquoise) and now I am heading to bed. A foil and two haircuts tomorrow then my weekend starts Hope all is well with everyone
-
Hehe, yup on the heat and ice Long weekends are the best till you have to go back to real life, then they're the worst :couch2: Hope everyone has a great day
-
Oh no Josette :omg: What a triple whammy! You definitely need some calgon, keep us posted on how you are doing and take care.

Coffee is a laxative and could very well be the culprit. I have been told that coffee also contains tannic acid which is the used to tan animal hides, eww. Now I don't know if that is true but I do know that when I used to drink coffee my stomach always hurt, gave it up a few years ago and has made a big difference in how my tummy feels. I would try to go without a week or so and see if that helps.

Yay LapBandit, your plateau has ended Not much to say here till Monday when I weigh in, home with a sprained back today Was out working on the pond and well..... But school requires us to stand all day, no way I can handle that today. On the real bummer side I get to stay home and relax an extra day

It is called traumatic alopecia. Hair loss can occur anytime the body is stressed for any reason. Surgery, illness, strong medications, weight loss, under nurished, etc.
