Wondering if others have the same problem? Seems like after about 15 mins in bed I start to get what seems a clear liquid, like a mucus in my throat. this causes me to cough most of the night. I was having some reflux at night especially If i ate close to bed time. Now it seems that I get this fluid build up once lyeig down. Causes me to cough and sometime forces me to voimit out the fluid. It seems almost like I feel like I'm drowning or something. I had the band put on almost a year ago on 3/27/06. I'm down 80 pounds so really haventreally had any issues. I only had one fill adjustment in July but still losing about the pound a week so I dont think that the band is too tight. Thinking about trying a unfill since I'm kinda satisfied with my current weight right now. More concerned about the possibility of asperating in some fluid while sleeping. Starting to wonder if it might be a slight issue with pneumonia

Has anyone ever heard of cmplications involved with airplane flights. Someone recently told me of someone they knew that went on a flight and the diffrence in air pressure caused severe pain from restriction. Has any one ever heard of such problems? I will ask my doctor on my next fill visit.

I had my first fill yesterday. The doctor sais he initally left the band empty and put in 4 cc of a 10 cc band. After leaving the office I noticed that if I sip liquids I have tightness or what seems like pain in the chest. I also notices what seems like a slight burning feeling in the back of the throat. Possible acid like burning. I plan to be on liquids for a few days. I have fear of eating anything if I get pressure from liquids passing through. Is this common or am I maybe over restricted. From day one of the surgery I have never experienced any pain drinking liquids.

I had a few sips of water at the office and it seemed ok there. I can drink but there seems to be pressure while the fluid goes down. Once through it subsides. I'm able to drink but it seems uncomfortable until it passes through. I've been siping today and it maybe getting better. It's too early to tell so far.

I'm three weeks after banding. Has anyone had any problems drinking regular coffee? I Usually only drank a cup or two in the morning before surgery. I switched to decaf but would like to switch back? My doctors office suggested waiting three months? Please advise if anyone has had any issues.

Sherri, The Vitamin Shoppe and GNC carries Zero Carb Isopure clear ready to drink 20 oz bottles. You can try many of the flavors since they sell single bottles. I but it by the 12 pack case which is much cheaper. If there isn't a store near you, it can be searched on the internet to see if any place local sells it since it is quite expensive to ship . Good Luck
