  5. Hi mmm - I just followed the info from a post on another thread. It was quite easy to follow: The link: Weight Loss - Diet Ticker Select your ticker ruler - Click Next Select your ticker slider - Click Next Configure Your Weight Tracker Ticker - Click Next Cut and paste code for most boards and web pages: Use the address in bbCode In this website go to User CP, then in Settings and Options on the left side click on edit signature, paste code information into the white message box and you can either click on save signature or preview signature to see it before you save it. 6. wishfull - dont you worry, you are doing great. I really wish I had your restriction. Roll on 11th March - maybe I'm ready for my first fill. I have lost 22lbs but my clothes just fit comfortably again. I had gained about a stone and a half in no time (well since deciding to get my band actually) and my clothes were bursting at the seams!! Keep up the good work. T x
  7. Hi Garry and welcome!! When I first had my op (3 weeks ago tomorrow) I couldn't eat very much but I must be all healed up now because I can eat almost anything and dont have much restriction, although I must confess I haven't tried a lot of solid food. T x
  8. Thanks for that Gillian. I do seem to be eating more than most. I have ready brek or weetabix for breakfast, using half a pint of semi-skimmed milk and eat the lot. Then for lunch when I'm at work I have a tin of soup or rice pudding and then mid afternoon I have a yogurt or a pot of jelly AND for tea I have something like mash potato, veg and gravy or scrambled egg, beans and mash. I do have much smaller portions than I would have before, but they are bigger than tea-plate size and I don't seem to have problems getting anything down. Also I have no problems going to the loo!! I wonder if I have stretched my little pouch as I never feel stuffed:blush: At least you are walking to work and not doing a sedentary job when you are there. I drive to work and sit on my fat backside all day. I must try and do some exercise. I have got a treadmill, but it is just a very large ornament at the minute. T x
  9. Hello and welcome jacksmum. Your weight loss so far is brilliant - well done:thumbup: I am pleased with my weight loss so far, but I seem to be able to eat much more than others (or I might just be greedy:unsure:) I'm sure you will get your next 2 1/2 stones off in no time - good luck. T x
  10. Welcome back mmm! I'm pleased all went well for you. I agree with wishfull, even if you feel ok, don't try and do too much. Get plenty of rest and you will heal quicker. Take care. T x
  11. Yes Gillian you're right , I have got that book but I haven't read very much of it. I will have to get it out and start reading it again. I am eating less than before my band but I could eat larger portions than tea plate size, but I stop myself before I feel too full. I can't wait for my fill to see if I feel any different. I haven't had any bread yet but I tried a small piece of chicken today and it went down fine. T x
  12. Hi Gillan and bigsister - I only lost 2ilb in the last week so my weight loss is slowing down, but I think I might be eating too much. If I count the calories, I normally have around 900 -1000. Not sure if that is ok or not but Wendy said she didn't want me to count calories, so I will stick with what I'm doing for now. The ECFS book advises you to have liquids for 1-2 weeks and then the 2nd week after surgery you can have a soft moist diet and the 3rd and 4th week after surgery you can start having slightly textured foods. However the WLS Group advises fluid only for 0-3 weeks and 4-8 weeks soft food. So I do feel a little confused about which is right/best I actually scanned my GP letter before I handed it in to my doctor so I printed a copy off for Wendy, but I think she got all the info about my band she needed from the stickers on the notebook. She wanted the address of Dr Chris (which was on the letter) as she is going to write to him about Frederik. Apparently one of the women who now goes to her for fills had previously been going to Frederik and Wendy said he has damaged her band - not sure what all that was about, I didn't ask as I didn't want to get involved. I think I could have managed the curry and apple crumble, but I am trying to be sensible by not having too much, but it is very hard. Well done you two for not over indulging! You can hopefully enjoy it today. Take care and keep up the good work. T x
  13. Hi wishfull - I'm fine thanks. I'm pleased your fill went ok, which I'm sure was a relief. You are doing really well with your weight loss -keep up the good work. I am booked in for my first fill with Wendy at the WLS Group on 11th March. I had a post-op meeting with her last Thursday and she was very nice. She said she hopes to have me at a good restriction by June at the latest and she also said if I need it I will probably get a 3cc fill at my first appointment. I have a 10cc Heliogast band (Gillian it tells you what type of band you have on the 'follow up notebook' given to you by Frederik and Wendy said it was important to have this info. I actually took all the paperwork given to me by ECFS, as it holds all my details so far) I am able to eat more now and get quite hungry between meals, but I'm trying to be strong and not have too much in between meals. My dents are still there Gillian but they dont seem as bad. I bought some bio-oil, so hopefully that will help further. I'm pleased yours are better now too. Hope you and bigsister have enjoyed your Valentines Day curry and apple crumble -yum! Freckles I'm really pleased you seem to be almost sorted for the 26th. It's the day before my birthday, so I wont forget that date!. I hope the girls over there at the minute are doing well after their surgery. Tamisu - sorry to hear you haven't been well lately. I hope you feel better soon x. Best wishes to all of you who are due to be banded soon and well done to all of the post bandsters on their excellent progress. T x
  14. Hi everyone - I haven't had any time to myself lately(back to work!!), so haven't had time to post, but I just wanted to say a quick 'GOOD LUCK' to mmm, lewisabbeyalyssa & her mam. I will be thinking of you on Friday - don't worry you will be fine and will be in good hands. Take care. T x Hello and best wishes to everyone else - welcome back Freckles and good luck also to you and wishfull for tomorrow. Keep up the good work TL, you too Gillian and bigsister. T x
  15. Hi Gillian, you can be our official tester - ha, ha. I have been fine with mash but I have had lots of gravy on. I don't like cheese or any kind of sauces so I'm a bit limited when it comes to mash at the minute. Bread was my downfall and if I'm honest I haven't missed it so far, the same with vodka. I was out on Friday night with my friends and I tried a vodka with orange and I didn't like it, so as I cant have coke I think I might be on the wagon for a while (which is a good thing!) Keep up the good work and you will catch up to your bigsister in no time. T x
