Does anyone know if you can scuba dive when you have a lap band?! I'm really interested in getting banded, but LOVE to scuba dive (even if it's embarrassing to be squeezed into a wet suit)
I'm from Edmonton, Alberta.
This is definitely something I sprung on my mom. When I called her and said I wanted to speak to her and my dad alone I had to interget with a "No I'm not pregnant or getting married" - hahaha.
She has had problems with her weight - when she was my age she weighed around 100 lbs !!!!! but with kids and such she gained lots of weight, and is no under control and VERY active!!!!!
I on the other hand have always been overweight, and I mean ALWAYS. I'm tired of it, and can't afford to wait or to pay in Canada.
I'm still going to get the band, she will be supportive either way - but she cried  , just wondering if ppl had anything to say about Mexico or the experience in general - I want to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly
Well you weight 243, and I weigh 265 so that extra 20 lbs (as you know) makes all the difference. I'll admit the suit wasn't the best fit, but the experience is TOTALLY worth it. I did it, looked like a fool i'm sure, but once in the water it's amazing!!! Worth the time, effort, and embarrassment.
Does anyone know of a fill doc in Edmonton?
How much are the fills in Calgary, if you get the surgery done in Mexico?
This forum has been A LOT of help!
