Anyone use Body By Vi? I was banded November of 2008 and the Vi shakes are awsome. My weight started to creep back up and they are awsome for meal replacements and are loaded with nutrients. They would also work for anyone thinking about getting banded and need to lose weight before surgery, and right after surgery when you are on liquids. If your interested..go to my website www.sabrinamahupete.bodybyvi.com! You can also call me with any questions! The lapband and Body by Vi go hand and hand!

Do you know anything about the shakes? When you were on liquids what did you drink? These shakes are full of nutrients and protien without all of the sugar...which is why I suggested to go to the site to reasearch for yourself. They do help and if the can help other bandsters like they help me....then why not.

Dont like the topic......get off of the forum....plain and simple. I see weight watchers all over the place as well....are you complaining about that?

They are healthy shakes, they taste great and they work good with the lap-band. I know because I have a lap band and I drink the shakes. The shakes are a good for meal replacements and they are loaded with vitamins and minerals.

I totally agree! They taste so good!

How are the banded Notorious Novembers???
mahupetesc replied to mljalways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
DD- I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I will keep your family in my prayers. When I started on this website in November of '08 you kept me motivated. You seemed to take the band seriously and never let the setbacks that you have had stop you from striving to reach your goal. Please dont let this family situation get you off track. I know it is hard to lose a loved one but you have come to far with your weightloss to stop! I know you can do it! You ALWAYS have! Princess- My parents divorced after being married for 31 years. My mom took that opportunity to look within herself and get happy! I know its hard but you must look out for you. Dont sabbatoge your weightloss. The heavier you get the harder it will be to dig yourself out of the hole. I hope you enjoyed your vacation!! In January a friend of mine and I decided that we were going to try to become runners. The first time we went to they gym neither of us could run at 4.0 for more than a minute. Today I can run a mile at 4.0 without stopping. We do a race everymonth. This month we have a 5k that we will do. Although we wont be able to run the whole thing I am glad we will get out there and try. And when we cross the finish line it feels soooo good! I have lost about 13lbs since January and I cant wait to see what the future holds! Since I had the setback with the pregnancy I feel like I am so far behind but I am thankful for this site and all of the encouraging words everyone always has. Talk to y'all soon! -

And the baby is growing just fine.....so I guess there is light at the end..... -

I tried a spin class once. The instructor kept getting off of her bike to ask me if I was ok. I guess I looked like I was going to pass out. Needless to say...I NEVER WENT BACK!!! lol -

I will look on this site everyday (like i always do) and see how you are doing with your goals! My challenge is for May 11. I want to be at least within 5lbs of the 200lb mark! -

I am happy to hear that everyone is doing so good! My weightloss is steady but I know it can be so much more if I go to the gym. So starting today I am going to workout 6 days a week like I did in the past. I have a goal similar to Heathers. I want to be under the 200 mark by the middle of May. I know I can do it I just need to stick to an excercise program. I will keep everyone posted on my progress. Happy Banding to you all! -

How are the banded Notorious Novembers???
mahupetesc replied to mljalways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc never told me not to gulp liquids until my 2nd fill last week. After my fill he had me take a drink to make sure the band wasnt too tight and the water came back up. The only reason it came back up is because I took a huge gulp like I normally do. He told me to take small sips and walk around the mall for an hour just to see if the water would stay down. It did! Now I am so nervous to have that feeling in my chest of water getting stuck I will only take small sips. I never imagined water would get stuck like food!!!:tt2: -

I love this thread!! I was banded on 11/26 and had my second fill today. I now have 6cc's in a 14cc band. I am so glad I actually feel restriction now. I didnt do so well on Christmas but im not going to beat myself up about it. I am so thankful that I now know what restriction feels like. I had a slimfast shake a few hours after my fill and havent had anything since then because I am not hungry. I know I will need more calories than that but I will make myself eat tomorrow. Am I the only one who has an achy stomach after a fill. Right now my tummy is sooo sore. -

I was banded on 11/6/08 and lost 13lbs almost immideately. Now Im losing nothing and its very frustrating. I work out 5 to 6 times per week and I think I am doing pretty well with the diet stuff. Portions are good and the choices are almost good! Is anyone else having the same issues or am I being impatient? -

Maybe its time to find some new friends. Even though your surgery ended up ok there could have been problems but your friends would have never known. Go to some support meetings in your area and talk to people who are going through what you are going through. Never know you may find some new buddies! -

I love this forum. I read it all the time and I am thankful for all of the encouragement and its fun to read about everybodys expierence. I was banded on the 6th and have lost 12lbs already. I get my first fill on 12/2 and I am excited because my appetite is coming back. I started working out again today and I realize that I am way out of shape. Cant wait to start seeing my clothes get big! Good luck to all! -
I haven't had my first fill yet, and I'm eating like I did before the band! Help!
mahupetesc replied to LoriEmbree's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I guess I am in the same boat as everyone else. I was banded on the 6th of November and it is really hard to say focused and drink liquids. I stopped the liquid diet after 1 week and went to soft foods. If I didnt do that I was well on my way to stuffing myself with sugary foods. My first fill is in 4.5 weeks and I cant wait. I guess I will have to be strong and look to this website for support to keep me going! -

I was just banded on the 6th. OMG I am sooooo hungry I dont know what to do. I am on liquids for 2 weeks then pureed foods for 2 weeks then I get to eat solid food. I am struggling with this liquid thing. People who think this is the easy way out have another think coming. Good luck to everyone adjusting to the new lifestyle we have decided to get. -
