I am 16 months out have have only lost 30 pounds.....I havent lost since April.....Yes I think I should have done the BYPASS.. After doing alot of research on both the BAND and The SLEEVE or for people that just really OVER eat...Thats my opinion...The BYPASS is more for people that eat snacks and when the do eat it just is the WRONG stuff..........My DR says my body is not responding to the BAND.....I food journal and I walk He is putting me on a 3 month Meal Replacement which means I can ONLY have 5 shakes a day and nothing else.....NO FOOD he said since I can only eat TWICE a day and only 1/2 cup that Im not getting enough Proteinin so that might be the problem. If this doent work I will look into the BYPASS since I paid for the BAND myself I can use my insurance as a revision...Good luck to you

Well I do journal i go to the gym the Dr has cut my CARBS down to 16 Grams a day soooo he has no clue my blood workcame back FINE....my food choices are good for real i can only eat 2 a day just cause this BAND is and has worked for some people there are ALOT that it just doenst work for..........I have found that it works for people that would OVER eat I never did that I would eat the WRONG shit and SNACK before the band soooo In my opinion i should have done the bypass which will be my next option....

Ok so I wanted to give you my thought on this....I had surgery Aug 08 and to date am down 30 yes 30 pounds...........My DR says my body is NOT responding to the BAND like it should............so with that being said he wants me to go on a 3 month Meal Replacement liquid diet from Bariatric Advantage....I weight 230 pounds and im 5'5 so Im hopeing this can get this weight moving But im pissed caused I paid for my BAND myself and have to lose weight on a liquid diet r u kidding me????? Oh and by the way I can only eat 2 a day and like 1/2 cup of food...........Good luck with you BAND Shannon

Hi I also have BCBS of TX and you might want to call and check they changed their 6 months to 3 months in September of this year I have the Band but am looking into having the Bypass and that is what they told me.

Okay so I'm 15 months out and have only lost 30 pounds I have been maintaining my weight for 4.5 months now.....Went to the DR today and he is putting me on a 3 month LIQUID Meal Replacement DIET!!!!!!!!!Are you kidding me????????I can barely eat 2 meals a day so I have good restriction. So he is thinking I'm not getting in all my Protein and is hopeing this will start jump my weight loss.....This is the same PRE-OP DIET some people have to do before surgery..........Its from Bariatric Advantage..........So if anyone has heard of this PLEASE let me know and if you have ANY ADVICE please give........Thanks Shannon

hi i have been banded for 15 months and only lost 30 lbs...my dr said my body is not responding to the band like it should i can only eat 2 a day and about 1/2 to 1 cup of food at a time....so im looking into have the bypass done. Im at 230 lbs so still have about 80 lbs to go....

Head Hunger is when Your NOT hungry you just eat to eat .......I have this problem...my DR said he never heard of it being called head hungry but that is what it is......

Was just wondering if any of the weight has came off that you guys doing the diet pills where hopeing for. I was thinking about doing the revision cause this band sucks 30lbs in 14 months but was thinking about trying Adipex before i did that. thanks Shannon

Im the same way had mine done Aug of 08 and only have lost 35 pounds.......im getting soooo tired of trying it was this hard before the band and i was able to eat whatever.....now i cant have but 1/2 to 1 cup of food and still cant loose anything.......if you find out anything please let me now are if anybody has any advise please share...thanks shannon
