  4. Hey, I am just starting this whole procedure. I have been to 2 seminars, one w/ Dr. Schmitt & one w/ Dr. Long. I really liked Dr. Schmitt but i was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on either one. Also, I was wondering about the 6 month diet thing. If you go to your OB/GYN did you only have to see them 3 times in 6 months? I also have PCOS(polycystic ovarian syndrome), which makes it easy to gain and hard to lose. If anyone can help with any of these questions, I would be grateful.:smile2:
  5. Just found this message from you.. lol..... still trying to figure out this site. Yes, my surgery date is 11/11 and I will be sure to send you a message and let you know how it went. Can't wait!!!!!!

  6. Oh, I forgot to ask you if 11/11 was your surgery date? If so good luck & you'll have to post a mesg when you feel up to it afterwards.

  7. Thanks. I called my insurance & got a "not so nice" person. First she said it wasn't covered & when I asked again she said "well only if it's medically neccessary". I then asked her what if it was? She told me I would have to get the surgeon to send a pre-something letter to them. Our insurance company is not very well know but they are really good. I am going to call next week again to see if I get someone more compassionate.

  8. :smile2:I'm new to this site and am just beginning the whole lap band process. I have PCOS and was wanting to chat with anyone else who has been banded with it also. Thanks so much
