Mike & Molly ~ I dvr'd it! I hope it is funny! Biggest Loser ~ I personally can't stand that show!! I think it mocks people who need to lose weight. They workout for HOURS a day, which isn't realistic when the people return home. (I've heard a few people have gained all of their weight back!!) No thanks, I'll pass on this show!

LOL Sherri! I was the same as you. I used to drink 6 cans (12 oz size) of Dt.Mtn Dew by noon! With will power, I have been soda free for 8 weeks and 1 day. If I can do it, anyone can do it! Best to you! -
I needed this post as well. Thanks brighterdays for posting. I wanted to be educated and aware of what to expect. But I guess pre-surgery nerves get the best of me. Glad there are "good" stories out there!

I am expecting to be off for 4 weeks - I have a very physically demanding job.

I can relate to other ppl. Husband is so supportive! I am such a lucky wife. My mom can't understand why I would CHOOSE to have surgery when I could just "not eat that or spend more time in the gym". I haven't even told my dad. He would be even less understanding. It's OK. They will be supportive as the weight comes off. So for now, I have my wonderful friends and husbands support.

Ijust asked my dr's office about this today. They said I am not allowed to drive for 2 weeks, and since my job is very physically demanding - I should expect to be off for at least 4 weeks. I am not allowed to return to work until I am 100% able to perform my job with no restrictions. -

I am close. I had my last weigh-in today. Monday info goes to ins company for approval. I should be scheduling my surgery by end of next week. I am excited! I am expecting to get banded by the end of the month. -
Can't help ya much. My nutritionist said no Slim Fast - not that much protein for the calories. I am drinking Worldwide Pure Protein shakes. 150 cals, 36 grams of protein per shake. I like them because they are not too thick or gritty.
