I don't have any problems with breaded foods or flour tortillas . Corn ones are another story! I can't eat bread, pasta, beef, pork, lamb, salad, most raw vegetables give me problems.

I freeze all the time now. To the point where I have no feelings in my fingertips.

6 Months Out-How Much Have You Lost?

Plateaus happen. Just keep doing what you're doing. It will pass. Take your measurements. You may find that you are still losing inches. I kick started my metabolism once by going on liquids for about 5 days. You might also try eliminating some stress from your life. I quit my high stress job earlier this year and lost 12 pounds within a month after having been on a very long plateau.

Every time it has happened to me he has taken out about half of what he put in.

Welcome and congrats on your surgery. Sounds to me like you're right on track. If an ounce and a half fills you up for 3 hours, that's great. Just make sure that you eat very slowly so you don't get that uncomfortable feeling. It's all a learning process and you'll get there. You will get used to being full on so little and you'll learn to love it. As you start to see the weigh fall off and are able to spend all that money you're not spending on food on cute clothes you'll love it even more. That should help with your bouts of depression and anxiety too!

Actually, the AL first round playoffs are yet to be determined. Whichever team between Detroit and Texas has the better record will play the wildcard. The other will play the Yankees. Right now, they have identical records with one game left, so it will depend on what happens tomorrow. I wouldn't be too confident if you do face Texas first. They're a darn good team this year. As for CC, he's awesome but Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez won't have too much trouble against him. Besides, if we do face each other in round 2, there's no guarantee that JV and CC will face each other at all. Sorry, onmyway11. I didn't mean to highjack your thread!

My point was simply to change the subject! I only said Red Sox because I saw you were from Mass. Your Yankee fan friends can hope all they want, but they're never gonna make it past Detroit in the play offs..not with Verlander eligible to pitch twice in the series and Fister coming up behind him!

It's never a good idea to lie. Eventually the truth will come out. Better to just say, "I had an en elective procedure. No big deal! How 'bout those Red Sox?!"

Did you or are you going to do anything special for your "Last Supper" so to speak?

I had Chicago style pizza about a week before my surgery and started my preop the next day. -
Soup is actually a very good choice. It's high in protein and low in calories. I was never much of a soup eater but I eat it all the time now.

I'm not really sure what it is you don't understand. If you are eating too large of portions most of the time and garbage 25% of the time that is why you're overweight. The band will help you with the portions but won't stop you from making poor choices.

I thought the same thing!

PORT LOCATIONS : there ARE options
Cindy C replied to stratcat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine is on the left, under my rib cage. The size of the needle has nothing to do with the skin. It has to do with the port. They are all small. I have never had the area numbed before accessing it. -
Just curious....if G_d did such a good job making your body, why are you altering it?
-
A protein bar or shake.

OMG if the band can get in the way orally all I have to say is.... I WANNA MEET HIM!!!!!
-
I have found that I get stressed out much easier now than I ever did before my weight loss!

I agree. Everything in moderation. If I want it, I eat it. Since this is a life style change and not a diet, there is no cheating!
