Your husband needs to realize that at 5'3" and 340 pounds with a BMI of 60, he's probably gonna lose you if you DON'T do something about it! I would push the marriage counseling issue.

Why am I so mad at myself?
Cindy C replied to Jenn1214's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Jenn, you've lost 59 pounds in just a few short months. That's awesome! Be proud of yourself. I have found that once you hit Onederland every pound lost is a struggle! Remember, you are not on a diet. You have changed your lifestyle. Jelly donuts and cookies happen...so do plateaus. Don't beat yourself up over them! Just keep doing what you have been. The weight loss will continue. It just may be a little slower now. -
I can totally relate. I too was banded in 2008. I lost like crazy but struggled for months with that last 25-30 pounds. No matter what I did I could not lose an ounce. Six months ago, I left my highly stressful job and focused my attention on myself. The weight loss picked back up almost immediately. I've lost 15 pounds since then and am still losing (hope I didn't just jinx myself!). There is NO reason for you to feel like a failure. You've done great. Just be patient and do what you know is right and I'm sure you'll have continued success!

Cindy C replied to Amanda Mae's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have made no secret about my surgery. I'll tell anyone who asks and some who don't. But I never mention it on Facebook. -

If you have a pill that you aren't sure of the general rule is if it's scored, it's OK to cut or crush. It's usually OK to open capsules since the capsule itself is designed to dissolve upon contact with stomach acid. If it's full of powder it normally tastes horrible, tho.

Dr. Metz Wouldn't Fill My Lap Band Because I Smoke
Cindy C replied to glowormvl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My doctor knows that I smoke. He doesn't like it and wants me to quit but he has never denied me a fill or anything else because of it! Just tell him you quit and get your fill. I really don't see any connection between smoking and band erosion. -

Is $1000 worth 6 months worth of fills?
Cindy C replied to SunnyCox's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Sounds like you're getting a good deal. Mine are about $300 each. You are going to want to go at least once a month for the first year so $1000 for 6 months is definitely worth it. -
How does the band feel inside of your body?
Cindy C replied to misspostmaster's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You cannot feel the band inside of you. It's not possible. Internal organs can feel pain from disease or injury but they do not have nerve ending with the ability to feel something simply touching it. -
Yes, Crystal Light is fine. Anything that is sugar free and caffeine free is the nutritional equivalent of water. I drink very little water but I drink a ton of caffeine free iced tea every day. If you aren't losing weight then you are not in the green zone. If that is all you are eating in a day then I doubt that you are getting enough calories.

Worried About The Weather On Lap Band Surgery Day?
Cindy C replied to Fat-2-Phat's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
There are a million things that can happen to change your plans. You can't stress out over all of them. Just relax and prepare yourself for surgery. If there is bad weather that day or anything else.....your surgery will be rescheduled and everything will work out for you. -
Count me in on that too. I'm 51 and feel sexier now than I ever did!

The Very Scary Halloween Challenge
Cindy C replied to size10again's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well the 174 didn't last more than a couple days but I really didn't expect it to! It's ok. I will see again soon! My final weight for this challenge is 175. I have consistently lost 2 pounds a month since May or June so this is exactly where I expected to be. Congrats to everybody who hit their goal this month! -
This guy is an ass! He was fit and healthy and is now intentionally gaining as much weight as he can in 6 months so he can show he world how easy it is to get fit again in another 6 months. I take it an insult to every one of us who has struggled with our weight. Part of me hopes he's unable to lose it again and stays fat!

If that were true, he wouldn't be promoting himself on Leno. He's trying to make a name for himself so all the obese people of the world will flock to him for help and he can become rich and famous!
