  2. Happy 33rd Birthday V-Queen!

  3. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary V-Queen!

  4. Wow...This is kinda my story too....I moved from AZ to Marysville CA ( Right down the street from ya:smile2:) I also can't afford to get back to my Dr. not that it would matter because I don't think he would see me since I had to include him in my bankruptcy. I had lost about 60 -70 pounds and was 186 but now I'm up to 216 granted I am 25 weeks pregnant...but I was gaining before I got pregnant... I haven't needed an unfill and if anything could use a fill so this really sucks that you haven't found a Dr. that will take you in our vicinity...How far away have you looked?? The only place I called about fills was Fill Centers USA...the closest is 100 miles away and is about $450 dollars...It's alot but at least they will be able to tell me if anythings going on with my band after the baby's born. That's my only suggestion for you:blush: Also I think I read somewhere that as you lose weight you lose layers of fat that are around your stomach which is why you need fills...so I guess it makes since that if you gain weight...your putting the fat back on so your band would feel tighter.......but apparently not in my case :w00t: Good luck and Blessings!
  5. I just got my BFP yesterday...Baby number 5 is on its way!!!!.I'm so excited I just wish I had lost more weight first...At this point I don't think I'll need a unfill since I was in desperate need of a fill...I had gained back about 10 pounds in the last 2 months or so...Hopefully this will give me motivation to really watch EVERYTHING that goes in mouth now....
  6. DUUUDE...............Shake me and tell me to knock it off!! Since I moved to CA back in Febuary I havn't been coming on and getting the support I need...I don't have a DR. to do fills and I need one BIG TIME...I'm eating as much as I did before the band...either that or I've streched my pouch...I'm eating total crap..cake,cookies,little debbies, fast food..you get the picture:thumbdown:......So not only have stopped losing weight I have now gained 10 pounds:glare:(Said with as much sarcasm and disgust as possible)....I'm thinking I want to do a pouch test...but to be honest my willpower with the sugar is not working...I can literally feel my body going into withdrawl with in a couple of hours of not having any sugar.....I'm so mad and disgusted with myself...and I've never felt this "addiction" to sugar before..the pre-op diet was awesome (not a problem) I even enjoyed it..Post op...up until about the last 2 months or so were going fantastic. Any ideas?............
  7. Hi tmg333...... Don't worry they added you..you are on the spreadsheet....if you go up to china's signature and click on the "red" how low challenge '09 you will see your overall stats and then you can see your stats on a monthly basis.......:rolleyes2:
  8. So I know this thread is a little old...but I found it hysterical:laugh: However on page 5 is a link to a thread started by "maestrita" whom Dan nominated for Queen of snobbyness or something:rolleyes2:.....Anyway here is her quote" It is interesting that there is an assumption by someone who is not even banded that perhaps I haven't done my homework.I am a School Teacher. That's what maestra means.BTW" I found this quote interesting on so many levels but I'm only here for one....."MAESTRITA" you are now my "DISCIPULA"(female pupil) unless you are male and you are now my "DISCIPULUS" and everyone reading is my "DISCIPULI"M(2NDdeclinsion) and I "V-QUEEN" or"REGINA"(queen) am now your.....say it with me "MAGISTRA"(instructress) or "MAGISTREA "F (1st declinsion) but then I would be more than one....this is the closest translation to "teacher" in latin if you are female...The closest translation for"teacher" is "MAGISTER or MAGISTRI M(2ND) which mean teacher, tutor, master ,expert,chief..But then you would have to be MALE...Now everyone go home and do your homework!!.:rolleyes2:......Also before we go around nominating people for "Queen"....:sneaky:dan......Please remember................... I AM THE ONLY QUEEN!!!! MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...:scared2::scared2::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
  9. I remember when I was on the liquid diet....I found that for me it was the Protein Shakes that gave me the trot's........even now if I have too many shakes it comes right back........Also Splenda has many side effects on people..bloating, cramping, the trots, some have stomach bleeding, and reports of increased miscarriage.........Although I still use it:rolleyes2: Maybe you could try another sweetner like equal or sweet and low (yuck) but I'll use it in a pinch.....OR maybe trying a different protein powder that you would'nt have to sweetin so much...OR if it's the flavorings you really like just use flavor extracts from the baking isle..all flavor no sugar..my fave is orange...OR DEcaffinated instant coffee to your shake.....There is also another sweetner I've never tryed though "xylitol" you can buy it online..oh also ""Stevia"" its all natural but it carry's a little bit of a funny after taste and a little goes a LONG way!!...........If you need any more ideas let me know....good luck with the band!!
  10. I know you said your walking ....which is exactly what you should be doing but you gotta walk, walk, walk and walk some more...Oh and GAS-X strips the kind that dissolve in your mouth those will help...Also every DR. is different but if your allowed warm liquids that helped me ALOT.... Good luck with you band!
  11. I don't think you should worry to much.....I had surgery on Dec. 4 '08 and I still get dizzy or just to pooped to move.....Like when I don't eat enough calories  That is something that I have to work on all the time...Sounds weird but you gotta eat! once your able to eat a more "normal" diet not just soft or mushie foods you should start to feel better....until then it really is best to rest ....I wasn't able to go up stairs without falling over for at least the first two months I hope you have fantastic success with your band!!!

    Non-Scale Victories Thread

So I went late last night to walmart to buy some outfits for my trip to disney...I knew my jeans were a "little" big but I didn't realize how big until (just to see if I could) put on a pair of SIZE 14 jeans!!!!!! They fit perfect.. no sucking in,.. no hopping in place to get them over my thighs...This is soooo great I havn't been a 14 since I was like 17 years old!!! I LOVE MY LAPBAND!!! I have now gone from a size 24 to a 14 ....5 whole dress sizes:Dancing_wub: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I usually weigh in on Saterday's but i'm going on Vacation for 2 weeks to Disney...Sooo I won't be weighing during that time.....This morning I'm down to 192  so I "think" a 3 pound loss for me.
  14. Ok it's morning............I'm 195 so 2 pound loss for first week of March..

    Reached goal WITHOUT a Fill?!?!?!?!

Seriously Tex ?? Come on you just had surgery yourself on the 6th are you telling me that as of right this second you do not feel any restriction when you eat,and if you do not (I won't presume)you can't imagine ANYONE in this whole world that received the band could possibly feel restriction three months post op???......I also would not presume that you have a lot more reading on the tool you just installed on your insides...BTW My surgon Dr. Debarros in Phoenix also had lapband a year ago and has lost 100 pounds with NO fill.....Most surgon's apply a soft fill at surgery AND there is also different SIZES of the band ...which is put in, is at the discretion of the DR. AND furthermore..everyones Stomach is also a "different" size...Hence the different size bands..as you can see there are a lot of factors in how people lose weight with the LapBand..Not ONE person here will lose weight at the same rate as another, not even eating the same foods...Sounds like someone feels guilty for taking the "easy" way out themselves. Or just mad because they had to get a fill two weeks after surgery.............. I'll stop ectoplasmaing everywhere now..
