Keep as a back up in case your internet explorer goes down. you will have a back up. It worked just fine at lapbandtalk.com I never put my stuff on Facebook, so I don't know how it will work there.... But Firefox works.

I'll be 5 yrs. out this October 31st. I have a 4cc Band, started at 356 got down to 201. Things went well for a while, and one day he over filled me, and swore he blew the band. So he deflated me. When I wanted to see him, I was always told he was out of town, and I was devastated as weight started coming back on, and pissed. When I got laid off I went to see him, his student would not let me near him. As we go back and fourth wich I don't want, I just want to see him. Well she threw me out instead..... I moved and found another Surgeon to accept me, and it was a student of his (just not bad with aftercare.) He discovered that it was deflated that's all. So now I'm starting all over again. Only difference is once you learn about the band, you remember things. Like stuff the veterans taught me when I was a Newbie. So this time I am a little more prepared, and excited everyday.... Invest in MUSCLE MILK LIGHT Protein shakes. I still drink them, and the protein kills your appetite. Plus it is very good for you. Find out from your Surgeon. That's the safest. You don't want a Hernia. So better to be safe then sorry.

You could use a Nurses opinion on this one, but it sounds good to me, and the itching means it's healing. But get a Nurses opinion. Shirley.

For one I hope you are on some type of Diet from your Doctor. Go to myfitnesspal.com and log in, (IT"S FREE.) You will keep track of all your Protein, Calories, and exercise. That is a good thing, because it's kept in Memory, and you will see what you are doing daily. Also you can view what other people are doing with their Diet, and get some good Tips. I would find another Surgeon. Look for a Center of Excellence in your State, and City..> or Neighboring City. They set their rates ! If you want to go public and expose possible Fraud. That's up to you, but be prepared for a probable Court Case. Will people die because they can't afford the 4K ? NO! They will do further research, and go some place else. I'm sure this man will continue to lose money do to ridiculous rates. If I were you,,, I would find another Doctor..

I have almost 5 years of being banded. Banded October 31, 2006. I had to do a 12 month Pre surgical diet do to the Ins company. My surgeon put me on a 1200 calorie a day diet, and 1 MUSCLE MILK LIGHT SHAKE a day. I lost over 120LBS. before I even got Banded. So I have some experience being banded. If you need a helping hand, or a push to get it in gear. I guess I can do that too Let me know if interested. Shirley

There is a add on Post Banding saying Why did you choose the Band. I think if you read that, it might answer some questions. I understand about being private. No one knows but the Hubby, and the Bandsters (We all help each other, and the Newbie out if we can.) Every one that I ever knew that had By Pass has died ! ! ! ! Most of them from Malabsorption or Starvation. So this was something that definitely did not interest me. Shirley.

What she says ! She is right on Target ! They can take you to your fill line, if there is nothing wrong. They can also put in a acrylic if they think theirs a leak, and that would plug a hole. But yep! she is right on the money.

Here, Here ! I agree. I am banded and proud of it. Have a Disability and get labeled, that's a whole different story. This is for safety, so that if you become unconscious, they won't shove a tube down your airway. I'm sure you wouldn't want to deal with that. I know I wouldn't.

Get a Bracelet or Necklace that says your Banded and No Tube! There are people on this site that will see this, and can further comment. With Great Results.

I don't even know what kind of diet this is... I have not stopped to google it either.. I hope it's not pills where some Lawyer will come on TV in a few years and tell you do to the Damage this has caused you can file suit. I think I'll just stick to the rules... Your right about that part only human.. We all are . But give yourself a chance to heal.. I know it can be a drag, but try new things too. It won't be long, and you will be on regular food. Shirley.

I am 5 yrs. out,, and I still get weird sounds sometimes.

Soft foods that are watery like oatmeal, cottage cheese, sugar Free Pudding, Sugar Free Yogurt,, Thicker soups, and etc.

I always drink with my meals. I still figure my meals out so they are between 800-1200 calories for the day. Then I have what I planned on, and drink water with it. I am fine with it, and my surgeon told me if it works for you go for it. So I still eat that way, and again their is no problem. I also stay full.
