  1. Well you started out right ! I don't even own a scale. My surgeon told me to throw it out ! I did, and he was right all the way... Don't worry about the scale, get weighed at the Dr.'s Office because it's calibrated often. Your home scale is not. So when I go to a Dr.'s Office I am always Happy because I see weight loss. I write the weight on a purse calendar. and keep track for me to see. It works, and my mind is free from that Ball and Chain called a Scale.

    Greatest Moments In Banded History...

    I found a New Surgeon, and it is all coming together for me, where weight loss is working in my Life ! Some day I'll tell you the story of how with bad aftercare,,, it won't work ! But that's another time.. This one is good news. I found this Thread after I Posted a new Thread. But it's strange that what I have posted,,,, That's what you are looking for.     Really worried was this a good idea?

    When I was first banded I weighed 356... The other day I went to my Dr. , and was weighed. I weigh 246 now, and still losing.... So yes,,,, It does really work, as long as you do your job with the tool Your Band. Shirley.
  8. This Saturday my Husband will be taking me out to dinner, at a nice place. Where they serve course after course. I hope they have a simple menu to pick from. We will be Married for 35 yrs., so I know he will want something nice. I need a suggestion on Ordering food. I don't eat much. So light suggestions if you can think of any. I'm thinking Fish........   10. I live by a Beach, So a Bathing suit would be nice. Crossing my legs Black Dress, and Red Dress Sun Dresses Most of all feeling better.

    If you stick to the rues, you should have NO problem at all.
  12. This is a easy fix if you'll do it ???? Get back to the basics. No to goodies (BECAUSE THEY TRIGGER THE ADDICTION TO KICK IN) Old Habits are hard to change. Back to the small plate NO EXCUSES AT ALL ! You know the rules ! If you need a fill get one ! Exercise some how, even walking is something. Some people say I work ! Well your lucky to have a job is my response to that. You still need to incorporate some exercise into your life. I do 3 x a week of walking, or now it will be in the Gym. (ON MY LEVEL, NOT A TRAINER.) You fell off the wagon, and you know it. So pick yourself up by the stones, and start again. That's all there is to it. Motivation BULL ! You have a job to do with that tool, quit slacking, and do it. Shirley.
  13. That's one of the best things you can do ! It means your band is clear... Plus newly banded you are getting rid of some gas. Find yourself where you can't burp, and you will see how uncomfortable you will feel... Tell your Husband to Relax,,, Your Fine !
  14. Their is a machine called Fluoroscope "X-RAY for your Organs, and the Band. " Tell your Dr. That you want to be filled under Fluoroscope He/ and you will watch the whole thing. If there is a Problem it will show up. Since your under the Scope, tell him to fill you to your fill line. "Yes you have one, and he can do this" then you will know what you have in the Band. You should feel Restriction, when they give you a Glass of Water to Drink. This is what I had done, I hope it works for you..
  15. I gained around 5lbs., I think we all gain or plateau while we heel. Your body has to heel itself first, then the actual weight loss from the band will start. As you get into the mushie stage stay light ! Cottage cheese, Tuna salad, chicken Salad, Low Cal String Cheese, Yogurt, etc. The next time you go shopping look at allot of stuff, and see what's mushie, low in calories, and high in Protein. That includes adding some fruit to your shakes in a Blender. Do you belong to myfitnesspal.com If not I suggest you join, (IT'S FREE !) and you will get tons of ideas either by asking, or viewing other peoples Diary. (THAT HAS WHAT THE HAD TO EAT FOR THE DAY) It's a good thing. Good Health to you, and don't worry. It will come of, Shirley.
  16. Get a hold of your Dr., he might subscribe something for nausea.
  17. My Doc gave me Pepcid Plus, and it helped with Heartburn. We were all put on this for a while. It's over the counter, and chewable. But call your Doc about the Heartburn, he might prescribe something.

  21. What would you do if you didn't have that scale ?????? Don't let it run your life. When your cloths start getting lose, you will know you are losing inches, and then the weight loss starts up again. One works, then switches to the other . So if your not losing weight, your body is working on inches, and visa versa. Be Patient, and quit kicking yourself because of that scale. It will move in time, but you must heel. Stay of it for a while.

    Baned yesterday now what?

    Here is a tip that I still use. Put 64oz. in the Fridge for the next day. Everything that you mix Water in. You use that water. oatmeal, shakes, Mashed potatoes, what ever... You use that water including DRINKING. You get your Fluid intake for the day. and you don't have to worry about just drinking water at 64oz. a day. Wash your Jug out at night, and fill again for the next day. Hope this helps the Confusion.
  23. Agreed ! I threw my scale out a long time ago. Put it in the closet, and use it 1 x a month, the same time every month ! You are healing, anything can happen including some gain. Don't get pissed off ! That's part of the healing process. When it starts coming off you will know it ! But for now you can do some walking, and keep your calories at around 1200. Protein 60-80 G. You came this far,,, so now be patient. It helps....
