    I would make a shake . A small thin one, and it should help kill the hunger some. I know it's not on your Dr.'s Terms, but at least your not eating. Just make sure its thin, and Water based. That is just my opinion ! If you want to rough it out,,,, that's up to you.

    Yep Muscle Milk Light.. 195 calories, and 25 G. of Protein. I keep a variety on hand. Vanilla Creme, Strawberry Milkshake, Chocolate Milk, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Cookies n Creme. and They are flavorful !     meal replacement shakes

    I prefer mine for lunch. I guess since work, I always got mine in at Lunch, and later on have my dinner. I always had a little Breakfast to help hold me over. We were told that the Protein shakes give you Energy, like fuel in the Tank. So don't drink them at night, because it could keep you up for a while. Now if true ? I never tried to find out.... I would also drink them maybe 1/2 hr., before I work out. I noticed that it did give me more energy, to get into it a little more.

    For sure ! Where I was banded at, all Bariatric Patients are put on this 1 tablet 3 x a day. Flintstones Complete with CHOLINE. You must get the ones with the CHOLINE though, that has something to do with vitamin B, and we need it..... I have been on them now for almost 7 yrs.. , and I recommend these to everyone because they work. I have tried other brands, but they don't have that kick that they have,' It takes about a couple of weeks before you feel the difference, but you will know it, when they are kicking in. Go ahead, and give them a try, and let me know what you think. Also go to Flintstones vitamins website, and get a coupon for money off.. Shirley.

    shakes are good for you, and they help kill the Hunger... (NOT ALL OF IT, BUT TAME IT DOWN.) The only time you will have that full sensation clicking off in your Head, is when you had enough fills to effect the Hunger Hormone in your Body. You have the car ! but you need a full tank ! Then that is exactly how it works. For now be patient. I KNOW! But it's true ! Then when you start getting a few fills, you will see the difference. So yes Drink those shakes. This Halloween I am 6 yrs. Banded, and I try to have a shake everyday. They are good for us !

    Update ! ! ! You should have seen the look on my Husbands face, when he came Home and seen me in smaller size Jeans... LOL His mouth was going to hit the Floor as he checked me out from top to bottom. It was priceless ! I don't think I will ever forget it.......

  15. Fish is always a good choice ! Just remember to chew until it is turned into mush, so pulverize it ! I'm still partial to the Mushie stuff. I find it easier going down. I like low fat string cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, in meats or sea food, I always use some kind of sauce ,cocktail, tarter,BBQ, Low Cal. Ranch. This helps moisten the meats so they are not to dry when going down. small bites from pencil Eraser size- dime size at the most. Also while you are chewing, it is a good time to learn to put the fork down. This is a good habit to get into. When you feel full, STOP ! your done. Enjoy your meals today.
  16. 1. How much weight did you loose in the first week? >> I'm not really loosing that much ( just under 2 KG/7 days) I lost 30 #in 30 days so a pound a day, all water though. 2. What are some good meals to eat in the 2nd week.Hearty soups, mashed potatoes, gravy pudding, pureed food 3. Do you snack between meals? If so, what? Low fat strin cheese, Yogurt, S.F. Pudding, stalk of celery, nectarine, banana. 4. Do you smoke? if so, how much? no 5. What is best juice to drink? I don't drink any. 6. Can you eat rice in the 2nd week? ( I live in japan, this is a rice country.....so hard to not eat rice) no 7. How long after your surgery did you get a fill? 6 weeks 8. What is your present fill? ( mines is 4cc...is this too less?:...i'm 75KG/ 28yrs/5'4)my band is 4cc we are all different bands my fill is 2.5cc's 9. Did/do you pas a lot of gas? yes 10. How soon after can you really see a difference?50lbs.

  19. My Surgeon put us all on Pepcid Complete chewable. There are probably better brands like Omeprazole, but the pepcid complete works.

    I have 2 artificial Knees, so I walk in the summer, and Gym, or pool in the Winter.

    I have a metal ring in mine holding it threw the muscle, besides stitched in place. If I were you,,, I think I would walk or swim,, but keep it low impact.... Shirley.

    Pureed vs mushie

    puree your mushies, so that it's liquid. If you want to add a little Water or milk, that's fine. This way you wont just be stuck with a few things. Also, when you go to the store, you might want to consider boxed sugar free pudding. There is a larger variety then the cups. I loved Pistachio at that stage. It was good ! Don't forget your Protein shakes.... Shirley.
  23. I never suffered from the pain ! I was told the more you walk it moves the gas threw your system. Thats for Sure !!!!! We stopped at Kmart, and I walked slow with a cart (this is a stop we made on the way home from the Hospital, just after Surgery.) I pitied anyone behind me, because it started moving out the south end.......

    need advice!

    Your not going to fail ! you already lost a good amount of weight. Sometimes the body will lose weight, then stop, and you will drop inches instead. Then the weight loss picks up, and it goes back and forth. I sure don't call that failing.... Walking is a great Idea. Ijoined a Gym in a Physical Rehabilitation Center. So because I have some issues... It also gets me in the Pool. Thats 3 x a week for about 2-2 1/2 hrs. Boy am I tired when I leave... But with the massage it's worth it. Your doing fine ! Keep up the Good Work.
  25. I AGREE ! yOU SAY LIQUIDS ! WELL,,, shakes ARE LIQUIDS, AND THE Protein HELPS KILL THE HUNGER BEAST. (NOT ALL THE WAY) BUT IT HELPS. Sorry about the CAPS.. You say you get your Protein from Milk. So you are trying to get Protein in liquid form...... Milk can cause BAD runs.... It's bad enough that it's Fluid in, and fluid out, but you need some Protein to tame that Beast. 60-80 Grams a day for a Woman and 80-100 for a Man. I'll bet your not meeting that. Also check out myfitnesspal.com for free, and it will log everything you are drinking. Then at the bottom it will tell you your calorie intake, and protein intake. So if your home with some time on your hands... Take a look at it. I am Losingintime on that site.
