Have you ever found yourself losing weight, only to gain it back, and maybe more ! Maybe you have done this more then once in your life. So be honest with yourself when you answer this question. Do you really think that you can lose all the weight you need, and keep it off ? If you say YES ! Then I would ask you "why are you even here ?" If you can't, and you know its the truth.... Then your not alone at all. Thats why we belong to this site, and are Banded. You mentioned Mal-absorption,,, That does not happen with the Band. That's Bypass, Doudonal-Switch, Fobi Pouch,and the sleeve. This Band if you ever have problems It can be fixed. A New Band, New Parts, Even a adhesive added in the event they think their might be a Leak.. If worst case scenerio, you can have it removed. If you go to a Center Of Excellence you can ask your surgeon if he stitches the band in the stomach, were slippage is prevented. Mine is, and I have not had a problem with that at all. Even the people that have had a slip, they have it fixed. Because the Band works ! It's not a bad way of life at all. Sure adjustments on your behalf, and you will get use to a new way of eating, along with foods that are good for you. In time "not much" you won't even miss the junk food or bad habits that you have. They will just kind of fade away. Some take longer then others,,, but still, their gone. I hope you read my post, and I hope this answers your questions. Welcome to the other side of the tracks... How r u feeling? It get's better, and take the meds as directed if you need them. I said I don't need them, and I was wrong, so I got back on track, and stayed there until it was no longer needed. It went smooth from there. I give myself a window of 800-1200 calories a day// If I go over, say from a sauce at a Restaurant,,, O well ! so it happened. I try to stay low though, but I am not going to kick myself hard for a mistake. (I did enough of that...) I keep my Protein between 60-80-G a day. I really don't worry about the rest of the numbers, because I eat a lot of Protein, and a little bit of Carb is a kicker for the Protein. So I know I am trying, and doing, and that's what matters to me. When you take the W O R K out of work, it goes a little easier. That's how I Roll. Shirley..

It's not uncommon at all. I still have a hard time picturing myself thin ? It's like it can't happen. To Old, To,much skin, Limits with the band, and the list can go on..... But we don't know until we get there. I see some Beautiful Bodacious Babes on here,,, and they were all where we all were, at one time. So sense we are all different. I guess we will see in time. Hang in there. That's a Normal thought that we wonder about.

They always have problems finding me ! So, your not alone. Last time was about 6 sticks, and a Nurse not a Tech found it. They now have it figured at 3 fingers wide beneath my incision. Otherwise Fluoroscope works ! No problems at all. Hope this helps.

First of all, I'm talking about a x-ray, not a scope down the pipe. So know pain involved at all...... 2nd. I changed surgeons, and there the ones that told me about the machine.. I never heard of this before. It is used as a X-RAY for Organs, so it pics up all of the band. A T.V. screen was available for them to see te band, and they had me look at what they were doing. This was totally painless. Then they filled me to my fill line. I have been fine ever since.

I been doing the Flintstone's Complete with Choline for 7 years now. My surgeon put all his Bariatric Patients on the Vitamins. Dosage is 1 tablet 3 x a day. I just grab my 3 when I have time, and take them. Every Day....

Go in and have it looked at under Fluoroscope. They will see everything, and so will you...... Not painful at all, it;s like a x-ray machine and the whole thing shows up. If they suspect a leak they can either take out the bad part, and replace it. or add a acrylic to your fill. Then take you to your fill line. That's what I had done, and NO regrets at all. Once they see what's going on, and fix it. You will do much better... But there is no way to see what's going on without the Fluoroscope....... Unless they open you up ! And I would go for the scope first any day.

That's not good for you, at all ! You need to heel first... You could end up hurting yourself if you keep doing whatever you want. You should have Protein shakes ! Protein helps kill the hunger... Not all the way, but it helps deaden it, so your not starving that bad. Sip on them threw out the day. It should help, until you get to the mushie stage.

I am in the process of swapping out my Summer Clothes for my Winter Ones. Well I found a pair of Jeans that didn't fit about 3 weeks ago, so I thought what the heck ! Lets see if all that working out in the Gym, and Pool has helped.... O M G They fit ! YES ! down to a size 20 in Jeans, and looking Great ! Then I found a pair of Capri's that I was wearing last year, and they were getting snug. They are a 32 W. I almost fell over twice ! First when I looked in the Mirror, and looked Good ! Then when I read the size. I had forgotten how big they were. Well there is NO ! Looking Back ! Only Forward for the future. For the Newbies, and Non -Believers.. This Band really does work as long as you work it right.. I have to CELEBRATE TODAY !:heart: :kiss: :lightbulb::musical_note::rose::star: A lot of emotions here...
