Since my band date is so close to November, I thought I would come over, and say Hy !, and ask how you all are doing ? So,, how is everyone doing ?

Thank You Jachut ! I love this day for the kids, and for this Band. Ive hit my share of Bumps in the road, I'm sure you know. That includes 1 or 2 hiccups or a case of the hiccups. Its now been 5 years, and what I remember the most was a Nurse in the Hallway on the way to surgery said to me. 'WELL,,, ARE YOU READY FOR A NEW LIFE ?" I never gave it a thought, and "YESSSSS !" popped out. No regrets, even through the Bumps. Now onederland ! I haven't seen that since 18 yrs. old.. Almost 40 yrs. ago,,, that's a long time coming. But it will Happen.. One Pound at a time ! and I'll be there ! Shirley.

You need to talk to someone. You swapt out 1 addiction for another. This is very common. I new a guy that was over 400Lbs. , and lost the weight with the Band. Only to take on Alcohol, and Narcotics...

I'm going threw the same thing. It's a pain I know, but I am going in for a unfill Thursday. I wish it was Tomorrow, but I have a 2 1/2 hr. drive each way, and I don't get paid till Thursday for Gas... I was told that I am to tight, and if you don't stay on Clear Liquids, this will only start up again... So let me know what they find, because this sucks. I got a fill about a month ago, and was tight ! I new it, but I also knew that the band will relax. I was in the Hospital for 3 days, and a Nurse shoved some crushed meds. down my throat... Well from that point on I have been puking, foaming, and you say your chest hurts. Well on the left side of my chest where the band is. It won't even open for Water. So I am looking forward to Thursday. But again let me know what they see.

Thats cool ! ! ! I am wearing 1x now, and some Large, but eventually it will all be large, then maybe someday Medium. I do believe ! I do, I do, I do...

That's a HUGE NSV.. Congrats on the fantastic loss.

It takes a few fills usually for that to happen... In the meantime its up to you, to count your calories, and stay on the diet that your Dr. gave you. If you don't have one,,, contact the Dietician for information. It's up to you to take control of this for now, and for your life. The band will help stop you from eating to much, but if you eat the wrong things ! Well that's not good either. Do you belong to myfitnesspal.com Its Free, and you can view what other people are eating, this helps ! Also record your calories, Protein, exercise, keep it in Memory etc... Its a good thing.. The surgeon over filled me, but he thought he blew the band... After that he wouldn't touch me anymore. Then we were laid off so no ins... So I got Ins. last November, but I couldn't find a Dr. to touch DAMAGED GOODS.... This year I found a Dr. willing to take me on, and it was one of his students... He's a good Dr., and not such a pain in the @ss. I only needed a fill ! ! ! I could have been at GOAL years ago, but it slowed me down, so I'm picking up where I left off. Thanks for asking.

Ditto ! from above. I don't have a crystal ball ! What if you get hit by a BUS ! Sorry, but I can't answer for what I don't know. What if you were actually Happy with getting down below the 300# mark ? It is very possible you know. That could be a first Goal, and then Happiness another. I always tell people "Just take this one day at a time !" You will have good days and bad days. More good ones though... People on here that you can talk to. Most of the Veterans know what they are talking about, and even the Newbies, have done their homework, and read the posts, listened, and learned. I know your self pay, and this is not cheap. But if your interested, then go to a seminar. Write all your questions down, and ask the Dr. questions.. The Nurse is Knowledgeable, so is the Dietician... Ask away ! It's your money, and life. You might just be happier when you weigh less. Company or not ! Is your business. I hope this touched on a few things for you. Shirley..

I found that Protein shakes, help take the edge of. But good shakes not cheap junk that don't have much protein. Also the thicker the better. It fills the void Sip on them throughout the day.

So Yes you qualify. You also have co-morbidity that make it possible. I would look on line, in your city, and look for a Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery. Then make a appointment for their seminar, also ask them if they take your Ins. I'm sure they do.... The depression stems from being overweight. But you need to lose this CLOWN that thinks he's funny.. When you lose weight, and become attractive to the opposite sex (NOT THAT YOUR NOT !) but more attractive ! You will see the guys that will want to take you out. If they want to humiliate you ! Tell them to HIT THE BRICKS ! and mean it. Go on the Forum, and scroll down slowly, the states will be on the left side of your screen, click on, your state, then locate your city or bigger city near you. Go to the Forum, and look up your state, then click on the cities. They should tell you about the Ins. that these Dr.'s take. Also: type in Fill Center U.S.A.. , and put in your zip code, and see if they are nere you. They do fills...
