if you eat a meal, and then get stuck. Some of that comes up, but the rest goes through ! Then Yes it counts. If you get stuck on the first bite, bring it up, and say NO way I'm eating anything... I'm to swollen. Then NO ! Nothing went in to cause calorie intake.

Thanks! But at 2 Lbs. a week... Your doing fine.. 1-2 is the norm. So your right in there. I average 1 1/2 lbs. a week. I'll take it...

BTW Is it Normal? I was told once banded, that it is part of the teaching process. If you get stuck enough, you will stop doing the wrong thing, and you will find out what agrees with you. So is it Normal to ever get STUCK ! I would have to say YES ! But don't make a habit of it, learn from it...

Well I went, and they deflated me some ! I had over 2.5 cc's in a 4 cc Band, and I know have 1.5 in the Band. I feel better, but have little to no restriction (I COULD KILL THIS NURSE !) I don't need to go backwards, as the swelling goes down, and 90 days is a long wait until the next fill. But it is what is. It's better then being in agony, and I didn't end up in the Hospital ! ! ! I was barely making 500 calories a day ! Not a good thing at all... So on the way back up state, we stopped at a Ice Cream Parlor, and I had a scoop of vanilla to coat the throat, and it helped. Plus I could log in the calories for a change. ( I COULD RING HER FREAKING NECK.) She knows nothing about WLS, and she shoved all those pills to the back of my throat, and they went down. I tried to spit them out, but like a reflex they went down, and stuck. They new exactly what happened when I mentioned crushed pills. Then with the adjustment, she heard the water go down like someone unstuffed a DRAIN. The only good thing was that I lost 7 LBS. in 2 weeks. It's a little to fast for me,, but,,, I'll take it after all that aggravation ! So I'm feeling much better now, and thanks for your concern. Shirley.

I went in for a unfill today too. I hope not to gain much,,, I want to try to stay under 1200 calories, and I hope that does it with the working out 3 x a week... Thanks everyone for responding to this Thread. If you have anything to add,,,, feel free to. It's a fun Thread. Shirley.

I was in the Hospital 2 weeks ago, and both of those were also in my area..... Never thought of it though,,,,,,, until Know ! "YES !" To the both of us ! ! !:tea:

Anytime you are in a Low Pressure Front it can cause the band to act up. Same as someone with Arthritis that say's Yep I can feel it, it's going to rain. and it does.

As i was telling her that I could feed myself, she shoved it to the back of my throat, and it swallowed. They came in because my Heart Monitor was all over the place. Well YEAH ! I just got done puking my guts out, and they were 4 huge crushed Potassium pills. The Dr. told me that I could have had a Heart Attack ! That was lovely News to hear ! But I B!tched a Blue streak about the Nurse. Anyway sense then, everything is stuck, even Water. So I go tomorrow for a slight unfill, and see what they have to tell me..... Keep up the Great Work !

Big Time Congrats thrown your way ! That was a major step in getting rid of all your old cloths. That's a huge step... Glad to hear a size 12 too. There's nothing wrong with that... I know I would be delighted if I hit that size... You keep up the good work, and you might be suprised...

I was slowly drowning in my bodily fluids. This was the only way out, so,, I jumped at it, because I wanted to live. I was now in the fight for my life. If I died, well, I died trying.. I'm still here (obviously) But the weight took it's tole on my knees, so they are Titanium. That's O.K. ! Today I walked 2 miles to get home. That's unassisted. So I can do what I want, at my own speed. I look forward to next summer, in shorts, and possibly a bathing suit and living...

That is possible with the band.... But for Halloween even I had 1 miniature size snickers. But that was it. I had my own business in Michigan, where I did Chocolates, and Fudge. If you new how much fat is in chocolate, you would loose your itch for it. It's not healthy at all... But 1 x every Halloween isn't going to kill me. But it is very fattening.

Depends on a lot of reasons... Certain Foods need to be left alone period. Other foods like meat,, I have to have a sauce for them or they will get stuck. How fine you chew (Applesauce) is back to the basics. How big of a piece you take. I stay smaller then a dime. If you are under tension, or have a argument with someone. That will tighten you clean up, It's best to stay on fluids then. A lot of Rain or Snow can cause it to tighten up also. I'm going down state tomorrow for a slight unfill, everything is getting hung up for me, so I am to tight. The sliming that you felt, I am having everyday. I was in the Hospital, and a Nurse shoved a bunch of crushed pills down my throat about 2 weeks ago. It has been getting worse. So it's all swollen, and irritated. So I need some out. Be careful ! You don't want something like this to happen to you. I'm lucky if I can swallow Water. So stay on fluids for a few days, and be careful on your choices.

I was Banded 5 years ago. Just last year I qualified for my Medicare. Not a problem, they even pay for several different kinds of WLS.. They look at it as we won't have all these Medical Bills to pay on someone for the rest of their LIFE ! (POSSIBLY !) If we go ahead and pay for the surgery... So it's viewed as prevention is better then cure ! That works for me, and is smart business... So NO ! problem here...

Ask your Doc to fill you under Fluoroscope, and take you to your Fill LINE, since it's not working yet. That way you will be in the Green Zone, and the rest is up to you......
