    If your serious about some help, then do this. Go on ebay and type in MUSCLE MILK muscle milk light will also come up. There's a lady on there that I go threw that sells it for $5.99 a Jug (THAT'S CHEAP) She has strawberry milkshake, and Peanut Butter, chocolate blend. It's GOOD STUFF ! It kills the Hunger, and you thicken it up with less Water. If 8oz. is to thin, go to 6oz. This will help, it's up to you, You were givin good advice. What you do now is up to you.     If your not in pain, and your do to be banded on 4-1-11 I would get banded, then have the tooth done..You will be on pain meds, and if they pull the tooth, well it's like killing 2 birds with 1 stone Good Luck with the Decision. Shirley.

    I did ! , and when I eat now I still practise chewing it all up to nothing, so it can't get stuck. As far as the dry stuff. I could never eat that, It has to be moist or it would really get stuck. If you could swallow it.
  7. If I were to try and eat 4 ounces. I would have to drink Water to flush it down. It's always been that way. The surgeon said you are just to sensitive. So it's painful ! I average between 800 - 1200 cal a day. This way I give myself a large window to work with. As long as I don't go over,,,,, then I don't see the point. Once I eat, I'm not hungry. so,,, I guess if that's the way it is with meats for me, then I will drink a little water to not be in pain. Interested in Feedback.

  9. I can't speak for all,,, but if you use only 4 ounces of Water instead of 8oz. (this is for the Muscle Milk) you can freeze it, and have a pudding, and still get your protein in. Good Luck, Shirley.

  11. Your Dr. will tell you how long to wait. You might lean towards that, you know give a hint. Like when can we have sex? He will be able to tell from that straight forward question.

  13. I tell every one, TAKE A LOOK AT YOURSELF IN 1 YEAR . I'm sure you don't wanna Wait that long, but this is a slow go.. When you see your self 1 year later, and don't recognise yourself, then your really starting to get some where. But for now,,, until you get filled, and keep getting fills, its a step by step process. I'm not trying to disappoint or let you down. It is a reality check on the truth. In time this will take off, and you will be very happy. Maybe even in 6 months, or 4. It depends on you. Be Patient... It will come. Shirley.
  14. Also try MUSCLE MILK LIGHT. It is Lactose free. My supplier is on ebay, and she has two flavors at $5.99 a Jug (THAT'S CHEAP) Strawberry Milkshake, and peanut butter chocolate blend. Go to ebay type in Muscle Milk and look for $5.99 a Jug It will be MUSCLE MILK LIGHT. If you go into her store and search you will find the other flavor. If you buy a few she will combine shipping. Tell her I told you about her site, might get you a break in shipping who knows. But it is good stuff. I don't know if you know it, but if you do a lot of WHEY, It can put weight on. Just a tip.     hamburgers, I want one bad!

    I had one for dinner today. I added Swiss cheese, fried onions, and the 100 Island Dressing (LOW FAT ) On the bottom bun only. I haven't had one in a long time and it was good. But I had to use Water to get it down. Otherwise 1 or 2 bites (JUST BURGER} and I'm done.) I do journal my food, and I am just over 750 cal. for the day. My surgeon told me I am very sensitive to the Band, so as long as I stick to the diet part It's O.K., for me. I got to admit,,, I don't know how most of you can eat 3 or 4 ounces, and not be in pain?? I'm not to tight, I have a 4cc band, and its been that wat since 0.5cc fill. So I keep working at it. If it doesn't hurt like cottage cheese, I won't drink a thing. But meats are different, and they do get chewed enough. I don't get stuck. That's just the way this is.

  17. Pills control Hunger threw chemicals, and protein shakes basically do the same thing. So when you are banded, that is one of the reasons that they tell you to drink protein shakes. It cuts hunger. Yes it has other uses like helping to prevent hair loss. But it is a chemically made shake, so it is either natural that protein helps cut hunger, or it is do to the chemicals.

    It will take a number of fills, before you really feel total restriction. So for now, you have to wait until you get there. Fills of course are the key thing here. If you don't have one your going to feel like your starving. Protein shakes will help kill hunger. This is a plus for everyone to know. It's not like a diet pill where your not hungry at all. It takes the edge off, and makes this possible to do. Just don't go over 1200 calories a day (OR WHATEVER YOUR SUREON SAID IN CALORIES) and 60G of protein is fine. (FOR WOMEN) sugar free puddings, Hearty Soups, oatmeal (FLAVORED) Heartier Things will help too. But you have to take responsibility also. I know your hungry, but who is going to win this battle? You or the Buldge. Invest in some Protein drinks, they will help allot. Shirley.

    As long as it is a liquid, it will dissolve. Don,t do it all the time though. Switch to a Protein shake like you said, If it's to thin for you (YOU KNOW GOES RIGHT THREW YOU) Then use less Water, and thicken it up some! example 10oz. change to 8 oz of water added to your Protein Shake powder to make your Protein Drink. Also protein helps kill the hunger. Shirley.

    hamburgers, I want one bad!

    I go to Kroger's, and buy JENNIE O seasoned turkey burgers 4oz each. I take a frozen patty, spray a nonstick pan with some spray like Pam. Put the burger on low heat, and add either worcheshire sauce, or steak sauce (KEEP IT MOIST) Then cover with a fitting lid. I might chop some onion and threw it in the pan for flavor. I use the bottom of the bun, so it's open faced. Add ketchup, mustard, relish, etc. Or I buy 1000 Island dressing (LOW FAT) and pour that on the burger. It's similar to the Big Boy Hamburger. It's good... Small bites, (I use knife and fork) Take your time, Now just stop when you are getting full. Hope you try it, and enjoy it. Shirley

    Ahh bra...

    This is the first time I have seen this add. It looks like a Sports Bra to me. Some of the colors are cute, but even on some of the women, you can see them sagging. So for a new Bra,, to bad it's not going to work. I'll stick with the stores.
  22. O.K.,,,, I have to ask. What do you mean by low profile? If you mean you can't see it, (AS IN PERTRUDING) You can't see mine. If you feel it, yes you will find it. But my surgeon did a good job with sewing it to the muscle, so ,,,, it's there, but there is no way you can see this. I'm old school, and it was back in 06 is when I had mine put in. So I really don't understand how any one could see the band if it sewn to the muscle. If you weighed 90lbs.,, Yeagh!!! I'm sure it's possible. But other then that, someone please explain it to me
  23. I went through it that way.... It was the Insurance co.policy. When I saw my surgeon, and they explained that it would be 12 months of supervised dieting, and Dr. visits, I was shocked on how they were going to do this. The surgeon told me don't worry about it, every month you will see a Specialist, and be weighed each time. You get a file and every month that you see anyone and are weighed, you ask for a print out, and start a file. So I did. Shrink 1 month, Dietitian, Cardiologist, Physical Therapy, Internal Medicine, a couple visits to him, to see how your doing, and the rest were at the Family Dr.. Every visit got a print out. I took my file in, and the Ins. Nurse took care of it,and a surgery date was pencilled in that day. I was put on 1200 calories a day, and Protein shakes (MUSCLE MILK). After a year of calorie counting, I lost a large amount of weight, but not enough to be Disqualified. They kept there eye on that. Believe it or not, time went buy, he was right. Dr. after Dr., print outs it all added up. I know it's along time. But see what your Doc's Plan is when it comes to 1 year of visitations do to the Ins. Co... Also,, do some checking yourself. Call them up and see if there are any Medical Problems, will they shorten the time frame. So yeah,, been there, and done it. You can too. Any questions? Feel free to get back. Shirley.
