I didn't put when my b'day was on this site ON PURPOSE!!! LOL But thanks all the same!!
-
???? Okay now that is so weird. Are you talking about the CanadianLapbaners site?? Cause I am a member (but haven't gone in ages cause the site SUCKS in terms of user friendliness) but I do NOT recall having to "apply" to get on that site? So, I"m completely confused how they can deny access to anyone. Anyways...Mandi....I think I know who you are talking about and I may have met her....not sure tho, so I'll PM you.
-
Kim: I completely agree with what Argon and Cloe said.....bang on!
-
oh, and Mandi....STOP WEIGHING EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *whack*
-
I'm sure your b/f will be even happier if you do it more than one more time this week!!!! 30 mins? Not bad for a young guy!!! ummmm we are talking about the 12" sub thing, right? hehehe
-
EXCELLENT!!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I'm sorry you are going thru this Mandi. Maaaaaaaaaaaan, I just don't get people. Okay, here's what I recommend you do....in this order: 1. Go in person to that Dr's office to rationally (try and stay calm) plead your case. Remind him that TO is XXXX kms away from where you are (go armed with this info) and that the total cost for you to return for a fill would be $XX (calculate airfare, hotel, cabs etc). Further, remind him that Dr. Coborn will not feel slighted or betrayed in ANY way should you receive your fills elsewhere...that, in fact, he recommended this due to the distance you live. You may wish to remind him that Canada is BIG F**KING COUNTRY!!!!! If that doesn't work: 2. Try the Marie route AGAIN (nothing ventured, nothing gained). If that doesn't work: 3. Go to your doctor (ie. GP) now in NB (assuming you have one....if not....GET ONE!) explain your problem and see if he/she will do the fills. (obtain an instructional CD either from Dr. Coborn or elsewhere...ie. TLBC?). Explain that many patients do this (look at Buffie). Don't worry Mandi....have your cry and then turn that emotion into action....don't let it slide too long....get crackin' on it, cause you NEED a fill! ((((HUGZ))))

DEFINITELY the salty/crunchy (ie chips/cheezies)

What a great idea...I believe the following would be my top five things I take for granted and should try and stop more often and realize how grateful I should be: 1. Mr. Yoda, my husband. I love him so incredibly much and as corny as it sounds I love him more and more each day; where this love within me comes from, I don't know but I'm sure glad he brings it out in me. I waited a long time and went thru several "duds" before I met him. Sometimes I know I take him and the things he does for granted; I shouldn't. 2. My country. Yeah yeah, I know I'm biased...but IMHO, Canada is THE best country to live in. I take it for granted that I live in such an amazingly beautiful country with so much to offer in so many ways. I take for granted my freedom and availability of choices and options in this country. 3. Transport such as having my own vehicle. I recall being a teenage and even young adult and having to walk or bus it EVERYWHERE. I HATED the bus (still do), it was sweaty, hot, smelly, hot, noisy, hot, long, hot and...hot! I look back at how much I used to walk everywhere...no wonder I wasn't overweight back then! I forget what it is like to not have a car....I take it for granted a lot; and now we have TWO! 4. My mom. I have several friends/co-workers who no longer have their mom's in their life. In many ways I just always expect my mom to be there....even though she lives on the other end of the country, I still feel like she is here with me; I know one day she will be gone and I will wish I hadn't taken her for granted. I will tell her next time we talk that I love her. (very rare for my family to say those words...which is why I say them ALL the time to my husband). 5. My career. I make a very decent wage, I have progressed and I can actually retire any time now (since last May) with a full pension...not bad for 41. I take that for granted and should appreciate that I've had a rewarding, exciting, challenging career for the last 20+ years that many people would die for.

I guess Mr. Yoda is not the "typical" male then...since he enjoyed the movie. He must be a little more "advanced" than most males!! Not all guys *ducking the things being thrown at me* are mindless voids that only enjoy car chases and shooting scenes!
-
Well done on your actions, Barb. Hope it all works out.
-
Exactly. For example, I know a lady who has been banded for 5 yrs (lost 200 lbs) and one of her mainstays is shrimp. They are full of Protein and are good for you...she eats a lot of them in stir frys.
-
Congrats Leila!!! Be careful of those blisters....from personal experience...they can become baaaaad (I was hospitalized once for 'em!). So....just treat your feet well during this phase where they are getting used to the torture you are putting them through! LOL
-
I agree...that is my experience too. I just chew to almost mush like consistency before I swallow and if I know I have too much in my mouth, I'll only swallow a lil' bit at a time until the blob that was in my mouth is gone. Like Mandi...if I'm chewing and it isn't chewing up well (ie. a fatty piece of steak with grisel or something), I won't bother...I'll spit it out and try another piece. Don't worry Kim.....you'll get the hang of it....
-
I agree....Kim.....we a learned (& still learn) what each of us can individually handle and not handle. I've also heard that something you can "handle" one day you may not be able to "handle" the next day (& vice versa). Right now...I"m like you Mandi....can have anything (even the supposed dreaded bread etc) ...but in small amounts and chewed chewed chewed!!!
-
LMAO...ummmm tks for explaining that one Mandi...I had no idea what a "newb" was.....LOL...ya can tell you aren't from there!!! LMAO!!! Where you a "Saskie" in your previous life?? hehehehe Vines: maybe the dog seemed THAT much bigger 'cause you were a lil' girl?!!
-
I turned 41 last month! LOL
-
No Cloe....we don't own a restaurant!!!! But, WoodyS and her DH do. I'll pm you with what I do!
-
absolutely they should!!! *remembering when they all thought I had 5cc's in there but in reality had NOTHING for over a month!*
-
Just sayin' "hi" to ya K@T!!!! Sorry things are hectic in your life right now...but hang on....ur vacation is just around the corner!!!! Keep lookin' ahead!!! I think you are doing fine with the weight loss....I know the feeling about the appetite increasing though....I'm sure it will be better once you (& I!) get the proper restriction! Good luck with all the work and the dealing with the in-laws about your pending move....and just keep thinkin' about that Florida surf and sand!
-
I loved that movie....Mr. Yoda saw it and seemed to like it enough; though I'm sure he wouldn't rank it in his top fave list! There are a few lines from the movie that he still likes to quote though....cracks us up! besides...it's good for your DH to see some chick flicks once in a while....it's payback for all those dull stupid movies they like to take us to!! LOL.. but...no, I don't really consider this movie a chick flick.
-
What is also really good is the pre-cooked chicken strips. You can season them to whatever flavour you like and heat them up (we usually stir fry ours...no oil or anything) from frozen in mere minutes and then serve them a ton of different ways: for example: in a quesdilla (sp?) in a wrap in a salad (including ceasar salad) cup up any ol' way actually......
-
I love newfs....the dogs too! LOL
-
Hmmmmmm.....I think I'm a year older than Cloe..... *snickers*
-
Yeah....cause at Cloe's age....she NEEDS the reminders....you know how it is once they reach that age...a tad forgetful!!! hehehe
