Relationship Question: Full on communication to None
Yoda replied to TexasRose's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have to respectfully disagree to this. Welcome to year 2006!!!!! -
Hey mini me....I did notice that you weren't around...just didn't bring it up!!! Sorry for the stall....no real words of wisdom other than to say I agree that you can't compare yourself to others and that there are going to be ups/downs and stalls....I've already experienced that myself. So much easier said than done, I know...but as Jachnut said...keep on pluggin' away and just keep the big picture in mind. There can be soooo many reasons for the stall....and who the heck knows which one is the right one for you...or which "answer" is right for you? Just keep at it and do the best you can, whatever that is and it is bound to change around!!!

liquid vits. may absorb quickly BUT I have yet to find a liquid vitamin that has as much vitamins in it as does the pill form or chewable form. My pharmacist agrees....they just aren't as potent.

Sorry to hear about the port problem Susan!!! Try not to let it get you down too much (I know, easier said than done). Good luck next week...us April Bandits will be thinking of you and sending you well wishes!

Yup....move on...tis not worth your time in the least. It's a good warning signal right off the bat...which is nice to have. I agree with what the others said....enjoy the dating with different types of people and if things aren't working out or if you find you aren't being 100% "yourself"...he's not the one...and close the window and open the one next to it!!! -
LOL :huggie:

Kewl thread. I got home from work about 2 hrs ago and already did a 60 min workout and have had my shower. My hubby is making dinner (as per norm!) lol (ahhh, the advantages of having married a chef!). Glad u are all having wonderful days. *SOB* I can't get on the site at work....I work for the Dep't of Defence and they have quite the firewalls on....so this site is one of MANY that are blocked. (prob because it is considered a chat site). So, I have to do without my "fixes" while at work. (maybe that is a good thing otherwise I might not get much done!!). hahaha Donna: whatcha takin' at school?

Yoda replied to kimmason's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I agree....however from my understanding on the CanadianLapbanders site...this has already been done to some extent and it has, in fact, been challenged with various degrees of success. Yeah Kim....what Cloe said: how was the BBQ? -
Mandi...I agree with what Kim said....there are governing bodies in Canada that you can report this kind of thing to. This is RIDICULOUS> And yes, you getting a fill (ie. 15 mins of time) does NOT take away from another patient who has "been waiting for years" for surgery. Give me a break.....I'm sorry...this Dr.'s office does NOT sound professional in the least. Plus, they figure they have a monopoly...and we all know how THAT goes. Finally....and if anyone has Dr. B on here....plse feel free to contradict me or set me straight...BUT from my understanding (from what I have heard from a Dr. B patient) he does NOT, in fact, do the fills.....he has someone else do them ALL the time. So...if he isn't even doing them...nothing they say makes sense and makes it all seem even more unprofessional. I know this (me ranting further) doesn't help you Mandi....I'm sorry. See if Dr. C. can intervene on your behalf..... Pisses me off that Dr. B's office thinks its okay to have another dr out west take on their patients but that they won't repay the favour. WHATEVER!.

i wanted to share my day at the doctors
Yoda replied to loveulots17lov's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
sorry it was icky LoveuLots!!! Yes, I can relate...if you read my fill "saga"....I had quite the episode. For over 2 hrs!!! ewwwwwwwwwwww. And that was with no fluro. My next fill (25 Aug) I have to go to the hospital and do it under fluro so they can have a looksie. But yes, the over 2 hrs it took and the at LEAST 25 pokes was soooo not fun! -
Yayyyyy! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Realistically, I dooo understand why he won't do them (tho, yes it is unfair he does them on some and not on others....).....however THAT being said...if his practice is THAT busy and he can't keep up even with his own patients (which will expand as he does more and more surgeries) there are other alternatives that he should be considering in order to meet the demand (again, even of only his patients) and to keep up with the increasing demand and provide customer service (incl fills for other patients).....it seems to me to be the professional thing to do. As an example, the docs at TLBC were getting overwhelmed with fills....so they hired 2 nurses just to do fills; taught them how etc....so now there is always a nurse avail to do fills....yet the docs are there should a problem arise. I dunno...just my two cents worth...if you have a problem...fix it. He should consider "fixing" it.
-
Welcome to the Canuck Threads, Deb. Maybe you can provide some info to Argon so that your Dr. WILL give her a fill??? Argon....this is the same Dr. that ridiculously enough, said no? Isn't it?
-
Tks for all your work and organization on this K@T !!! May the fun begin!!!

Hey Kim & Mandi, I hear where you are coming from and though I'm not so sure I feel the same way, I can completely understand it. But, plse do be careful and be sure not to develop a "false" sense of security. Remember....rape is not about sex (or attractiveness)...it is a crime of control and anger and I think generally happens as a crime of opportunity (wrong place, wrong time)....so though it is good to feel "safer" (to some extent) be aware and cautious about not being lulled into a false sense of security. Ya know?

ur doin' great Loriely....and your fill is this week!!! Yayyy....it seems like th time has flown by....(Hopefully it has for you!).

Good idea Cloe. End of first week of Canadian August Challenge: My Goal: 1. NO consumption of chips/cheezies for the entire month 2. Lose total of 8 lbs. My Progress (the good, the bad and the ugly!): 1. ate chips once (2 handfuls) while at work *sigh* 2. Lost 3 lbs this week!

'sokay Loriely....this is a new week!!! Aim to do it this week!
