Yoda's Jedi Journals (aka Yoda's Yammerin's)

Hmmmm, maybe I should change my turtle to a rabbit...perhaps the turtle is becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy!!! Taking my cue from Cloe: *SCREAMS AT TURTLE* MOVE IT OR LOSE IT! :attention: -
Thanks for the update Jude! I hope the endocrinologist can perhaps shed some light on your situation. Your mom's spunk does crak me up....I can only hope I'm that spunky when I'm that age!! LOL. Enjoy the pizza time with your grandsons! Anything they want on it, eh? uhoh.....lock up the gummy bears!!!

Hey Wheezy....I have a 10cc band and my first fill was 5ccs (of course, unbeknownst to me - or them- at the time, none of it actually went in...but that is another story!). All that to say that at TLBC, they generally give you a first fill of 5ccs unless you tell them you are already feeling some restriction.

That is so very very very kewl Mandi! :clap2: :clap2:

Yeah, I've heard of "boot" but Wheetsin, Canucks don't call it a boot. NOR do we call a car hood a bonnet. I never even HEARD that! The guy must be from the UK originally or something (or his family?). I thought a bonnet was the hat the Ingalls' girls wore!!! LOL. And, no we don't wear 'em here. Wellllll, maybe Argon wears one....but the rest of us Canucks don't!!! :biggrin1:

:clap2: :clap2: Yay......you deserved your own thread Loriely! Yeah, I get the hiccups sometimes during/after I eat. Not always and there seems no rhyme or reason to it. But when I get 'em, boy do I get 'em!!! LOL Very loud...very very very loud!!! LOL Thankfully it has only happened at home. If I'm honest with myself, I prob get them when I am eating a few bites too fast (or too much at once). It's good full sign to have though, if that is what it is for you! How is Mr. Loriely doing?

Wheetsin: of course you can chime in! Anytime. I get the headache after only a few bites. I certainly haven't gotten to the point where I "feel full" nor where I should have eaten enough. Know what I mean? In other words, I still have more on plate that I should be eating....I only eat maybe 1/4 cup (if that) before it kicks in. That is why I have trouble believing it is my personal "full signal"....cause there is no way I am only supposed to eat THAT little!!!
-
Nothing intelligent to say Mandi? Yet you can write letters to Leprechauns and even get replies back??!!!! *snorts*. I must therefore beg to differ; I am pretty sure that you sometimes have something intelligent to share.....ummm... I actually haven't seeeeeen it but I've heard from others that you can pull out all the stops at times!!! hehe.

Hi Lila!~! Keep up the good work!!! You'll soon be banded. I remember them yogurt days; in some ways I miss 'em...never had much of a worry about what to eat next!!! LOL. You're doin' great!
-
You slay me Neenagh!!!! I read your post last night about your hubby and as I laid in bed I was telling the story to Mr Yoad; he howled at the "spraying Pam in the tub" part!!! Tooooo funny. eeep I hope I didn't give Mr Yoda any ideas about the Pam!!! Really though, thanks for the laugh last nigh!!!! heheeh... oh yeah and YAY YOU!!!! You are banded!!!!! *doin' happy snoopy dance*
-
a little late...but welcome to bandland Green!!!! :clap2: Sounds like you are doing well; keep it up! I also like Ensure (chocolate!); that is my Breakfast...I have it with Protein powder (more chocolate) mixed in for that extra zip of protein; sometimes I'll also blend in a bananna.
-
Hey Maria...you are doing well for a leprechaun!! 40 years married!!! YOWZERS!!! Congrats! I'll be hitting the 5 year mark in a couple of months!!! LOL I guess I'm a newbie in your eyes, eh? Yay for you not getting stuck! I've slimed a few times but not for long. Also had a crushing pain in my chest twice but it only lasted about 2 mins each time (thank GOD cause I thought I was gonna die!). Anyhoooo.....yay you on your progress!
-
Kewl....Cloe, I knew you weren't just another pretty face!!! Neato idea about the post-its!!! Thanks. BTW...keep an eye on the heartburn thing (or whatever it is!). Maybe your husband put draino in your drink? LOL
-
BTW Loriely, I also loooove aquafit; haven't done it in awhile though. But I may start up again in the fall or Jan (time permitting). Good for you doing it! Are you draggin' the Mr. Loriely along with you? and...hey...how come there is no Loriely thread? hmmmmm??
-

Hi Leila....I too am sorry to hear about the fibroid issue. I also have fibroid problems but so far nothing that will need surgery...I just keep having follow up ultrasounds done to check for size increases (in fact, I have another one this Fri). All the best to you...nice to see you keeping your sense of humour! But, do take care!

:canada: :canada: :canada: *peeks in* *waves* hey all.... I read some posts in the Canuck thread over the wknd and feel sort of caught up. Glad to hear you are all doing so well!!! Yeeehaaa!!! Congrats to those of you who recently got banded....take good care of yourselves over the next couple of weeks. Jude...you hang in there! As you may have figured out, I'm not on here much anymore (too much going on in "life" ...nothing bad....just life!!!). But I think of many of you often and am wishing you all the best and great success. I'll stop by and say "hi" every once in a while! Keep up the good work everyone!!! :biggrin1: -
:canada: :canada: :canada: :canada: Hey fellow Canucks, I just want to say thank you!!! I am so happy that we live up to our Canadian reputation and that we are all peaceful and get along and none of our threads result in the juvenile crap that has occurred in some other threads. I would expect nothing less from fellow Canadians. I like LBT....but I LOVE our Canuck thread. Thank you all for being you and for being true, north, strong and free!
