Oh yeah, I forgot to say in my last there Green: Since you are starting your mushies....I thought I would share with you one of my fave "mushie" foods. Take out some Beans from a can of re-fried beans....and heat it up with some shredded cheese and then mix in some sour creme and salsa....and voila! A Protein rich, filling meal!!! For a snack, try some fat free bananna pudding with mushed up bananna in it! Have fun with this stage. caution: don't try blending a piece of pizza like Mr. Loriely!! LMAO

Green Green Green Green: DANGNABIT!!!! BUY A MEASURING TAPE!!! Look at it this way; you already have a baseline for your weight because they took it for your surgery. But if you wait too long you will NOT have a baseline for your measurements!!! The opportunity will have been lost! I'm telling you, it will make all the difference, motivation wise if you take the measurement once every month or so......DO IT NOW BEFORE YOU LOOOOOSE A WHOLE LOT!!!!!

No, she isn't a life long best bud or anything. And yes....she is wrapped up in herself. Mr Yoda teases me when I see her and says, "well you know you'll be on "receive" throughout the whole time"....meaning she speaks and I listen. Mr Yoda said that she may have not noticed because I was in my work uniform...which is very non-flattering to say the least. That may be partially true....but I'd like to think that she would have noticed in my face. See...the ironic thing is....after she said she lost 25 lbs, I would have loved to have said, "hey, that is great....I lost 48 lbs"....but I didn't for two reasons: 1. if she didn't already notice and I told her she would be thinking to herself, "really, gee I don't see it" and 2. she might think "holy crap...she HAD 48 lbs to lose" when in reality I even have waaaaay more than that to lose. Plse tell me you understand!? -
LOL @ Cloe! Lila....it WAS funny....I remember coming to and they were talking about what they were gonna do over the weekend....I thought I was in some limbo land.
-
hope that does the trick (hides bowl of chips) Thank you Maria!! Hey Neenagh:
-
Hey Mandi....I'm not a mom but I agree with Cloe. It is important that you go home for Xmas now while you can. Life has a way of getting away from you and soon enough you won't be able to go home for Xmas for other reasons (ie. not related to financial)....other obligations will creep up. So....yeah....if you can't afford it and they can and they offer....take it....it's important to them. As for the issue of you "not noticing" ya....tis called body morphic disorder (or somethin' like that!!) (maybe it is dismorphic)!! You get my meaning!

*holds Lila's hand* okay okay....*GRABS Lila's hand* Step AWAY from the scale! :funscale:

Tks Carol...I"ll look next time!

Well, nobody called me afterwards but I knew that I could call them if I was having any problems; they also knew I wouldn't be alone. You were given a sheet with THREE fill appts on it? Strange...how will they know if you need 2 or 3 and when? I was given my first fill appt the day of surgery (basically 6 weeks later)...but afterwards it depended on my unique circumstances. I'm not sure why you have to go 2 hrs early. Unless they've changed something. Certainly for your first fill...Kathy will want to talk to you to see how you are doing and weigh you on their fancy dancy scale (with the print out thing) and Melissa may ask you some questions for a study she is doing...but two hours?? Oh well.....bring a book!! LOL

*pouts* meeeeeeeeanie. :cry

Carol...I looked for those Christie Crunchers on the way home today and couldn't find them. What sort of packaging are they in? (bag/box?)...it is so hard to find stuff like that amidst the myriad of choices; especially when I don't know the packaging/colour to try and spot. My downfall is the salt/crunch thing...perhaps I'll try the sour dills too.

I have the "midband" (I think that is the Swedish one but not sure). It holds 10 ccs

Those are both awesome stories; thank you Carol & Cloe!!!!

Okay....so the lunch: I hadn't seen this friend in about 2 months. SHE actually looked great!!! I commented on that fact and she said, "thank you, I have lost 25 lbs". I told her that was fantastic (she prob weighs about 120 now) *sigh* I guess she didn't notice my 48 lbs loss. Maybe it is just more noticeable on already thin people??? I dunno. Kind of maddently frustrating. I hardly ate any of my lunch....moved the stuff around on the plate a lot. She did comment at the "end" of the meal by saying, "wow, that is great, you eat slow and made me slow down". I said, "yeah, I generally eat slow on purpose" (which of course is a NEW thing for me!). She didn't comment on how little I ate and I asked for the remainder to be boxed up. If she thought it was odd, she didn't say anything. So...there ya go. :phanvan -
*jumps up & down* meeee tooooo!!!! meee toooo!!!! I wanna get in on this. I need a lazer zap BIG TIME!!!!!!!!! :help:

Alrighty. Off for another fun-filled (?) day at work. There is a guy at work who is ANNOYING the crap out of me lately so it hasn't been a lot fun. I have a lunch date with a friend today (who doesn't know about the surgery and will NEVER know!!!); this will be the first time "eating" with her "alone" so it will likely be more difficult to hide the fact that I'm not eating much. Before, Mr Yoda was with us and we shared a pizza or something (this was before my last fill) and I could make it look like I ate my share. Of course she is in a no win situation with me. I'll be pissed if she doesn't notice the 48 lb weight loss and I'll be just as pissed if she starts asking questions about it!!! LOL. Gawd, I'm mental. Welcome to my world. Alright....'nuff babblin' and off to work. I am supposed to start work at 8:00 am and it is now 8:15 am and it takes me 20 mins to get there. Think I'll be late?!!! Mwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa errrr yes. Ciao. :bored -
*blush*. gee thanks Mandi. Oh....maybe you meant the dog?? :nervous
-
LOL @ Mandi. "Weird Lady" THAT is sure to make her feel welcome!! LOL.
-
Carol: I see you are 8 ccs. I am at 7; not so sure yet I need another one (fear of the pb). My question for you: have you had (or do you regularly have) any PBs or golfballs or pain etc???
-
Hey Carol...I just read your post about that dessert (I don't know how I missed it earlier!). YOWZERS!!!! I'm not too much of a sweet person either but that does sound yummy.....it would look too nice to take a bit of though! Thank you for sharing your food intake with us. Christie Crunchers, eh? I have to look for those; never head of 'em. Are they in the cracker aisle? My downfall (& yes I'm quite well aware of the badness of it!) is chips. That is what I prefer to snack on (no, not all the time...but too often). You have motivated me (shamed me!! lol) to start reaching more often for the pudding or fruit or whatever instead of the chippies. October is another month!

Oh Wheezy....what a cute lil' chien!!! (Is that gummy bear treat on the floor or did you merely forget to sweep!). LOL PCOS: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome As tu une bonne petite vacances!!
-
LOL @ Wheezy & Lila; you both slay me!! For me...exercise has never been an issue....I always have done a ton of exercise (& still do). That was part of the problem and hence one of the reasons I was checked for PCOS. Despite a fairly active lifestyle and doing regular cardio/weight trg....not only did I NOT lose weight; I just kept gaining and gaining (oh, and I ate pretty healthy too). So the PCOS explained a lot. Maybe that is why I seem to be a bit of a turtle when it comes to losing the weight also. But....at least it's working to some extent. For y'all who don't like to exercise; the trick is finding something that you LIKE to do...then it won't be a chore. Try different things and you're bound to come up with something! Good luck!
-
Yeah Carol...you are doing INCREDIBLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm envious but I'm also very happy for you!!! oh..and for the record I don't actually live at Casino Rama!! heheehe....but apparently Cloe lives pretty much on top of it!

It would take a helluva lot more than that to make ME blush!!!
