Yoda's Jedi Journals (aka Yoda's Yammerin's)

AHA!!!! I'm back from Boxing Day at the Out-laws and I've survived!!! Mwwwaaaaaaaaaa (though a lil' more insane than at what I orginally started). Ya gotta wonder about the gene pool, though....I must have got the gem in Mr Yoda!!! My eating went well...nobody noticed that it took me forever and that I hardly put food on my plate and didn't even finish what I did take. I did have a chocolate covered almond and just about PBd though.....but I did well (by the way, they don't know about the surgery...and never will.....MMMMmmmwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!). Okay, so I've seen them since I've lost weight...and nary a word nor a breath....I guess 55 lbs wasn't noticeable? So, (now I'm at 60 down)....I walk in and right away, my bro-in-law says, "hey Yoda" (okay, he doesn't actually call me Yoda....but you get the drift!) He says, "hey, you've lost a lot of weight". I say, (nonchalantly, of course)...."Hmmmm? Oh ...yeah, a little". And nobody else said a word.....zip. Mr Yoda says that Bro-in-law likely noticed because my boobs were sticking out so much.....and everything looked in proportion. I MUST admit though, I did look good (& for me to actually SAY that, I must have!!!) ....I wore a realllly slinky top with an amazingly magic push up bra underneath it (man, those babies were so padded & uplifted a half ton truck could hit 'em and they wouldn't feel it!)......so, I had this quite amazing cleavage going on. :heh: heheheheheheehe. Bro-in-laws eyes were bugged out the whole time...and I must say I milked it!!!!! (sooooo unlike me!). Anyways, I actually FELT slim....so that was nice....and I KNOW the others must have noticed (especially after he said something). Still odd how they don't mention it. Anyways....all in all...not a bad day/evening....could've been better but could've been worse too.....so no real complaints. I'm just glad we don't live much closer!!! Another Xmas with the out-laws over and done with and I've lived to tell the tale!!! -
Mmmmmmmmm awesome escargots and bacon wrapped scallops at the Keg! Sounds like it was a good "last meal" Mookie!
-
AHEM....AHEM.... ummmmm Cloe....my friend, you forgot to mention the time you did a mega slime on the school bus!!! LMAO!!!!! I'm like Mandi....most times (though not all) I can hold it until I can get somewhere safe. Mind you, only twice has it happened to me outside of my home.....once in car (oh yeah, and if you spit out the window, keep in mind the wind will merely whip it right back in at ya all over you...*sigh*....). :nervous

*Yoda stabs a kraft dinner noodle with a chopstick*... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm KD!!! :hungry:

Hey Mandi....I'm glad to hear u got some great reactions....especially from your folks! ...and size 14s, 16s....WHOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Keep us posted on the bar night!! LOL.... You know, we ARE living vicariously through you!! heeh!

Everyone is different. Some would be fine, some wouldn't. I agree with Jack...you may "be able" to do it but you may not "want to". LOL....that would likely have been my issue. Just pass me the demerol and let me lie down in peace....that was my motto! But yeah, I can see why you don't want to pass up the opportunity.....the best thing would have been to go a day or two earlier and do the Falls thing before the surgery day.... Either way...good luck....you really won't know how you feel until you are feelin' it!

Shopping on Boxing Day? Yup, you ARE crazy!!! :biggrin1: Glad the lil' guy enjoyed the light sabre!! He'll remember it always!!! I won't tell Mr Yoda or he'll be very very very jealous!!! Glad u enjoyed your Xmas dinner. I did too. Off to the in-laws tomorrow.....eeep. Wish me luck! -
Sorry to hear the PB story Green...but it did make me chuckle!! Too bad it happened at the in-laws and with Xmas dinner!!! Figures, eh?!!! Glad they noticed that you looked fab!!!! I'm from a German background as well and yes....Xmas Eve is MUCH more important than Xmas day....Xmas day is merely to recuperate from Xmas Eve!

Loriely: what Cloe said!!!! I must say, I'm VERY impressed! :clap2: :clap2:

Plus, Drs Yau/Joffe were the first surgeons in Canada doing this surgery....so they have a LOT of experience. Not that the others don't have experience....just saying that these two were the first doing it.
-
Good news; you're on your way Mookie!
-
Hi JLB...welcome. There are a ton of people on here who have had their surgeries at TLBC with Yau/Joffe...I'd say it is about an equal split between the TLBC and Coburn folks. From my experience I can say that the job TLBC does (pre, during and post) is excellent...second to none. However I also know that the Coburn folks say the same thing.....so if you pick either of the two, you are in excellent hands.

That makes sense Angel Bear! You'll feel better if you don't slime all the time....and don't worry about not losing in 7 days....(& it IS Xmas!). Sometimes I go a week without losing and then I would drop 2 or more lbs the following week....so no worries. Don't stress....be sure to enjoy your holidays! Merry Xmas to everyone! -

hehe....sounds like fun Carol!! BTW, we were in Newmarket at the mall last wknd and that store I told you about isn't there anymore!!! They are doing construction on that whole wing......shucks!!! Have a great time in TO; you both deserve the break! -
.....but of course Yoda is his favourite!!! LOL. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah, that light sabre is keeeeeeeeeeeeewl. They have it at costco for a good price. Believe it or not I"m having the same trouble with Mr Yoda as you are with your 8 yr old!! HE wants that sabre too (he ain't gettin' it!!). The Darth Vader Mr Potato Head is pretty kewl!

Angel Bear....the sliming is getting worse??? Ahem....hmmmmm, didn't you schedule yourself for a fill in early Jan? AHEM......me thinks you need to reconsider that. Honestly, I know you are losing at least your 1 lb a week....so not sure why you are seriously considering a fill.....especially if you are sliming!! I truly think you are at a good level of restriction right now and shouldn't consider a fill until you aren't losing (despite doing the "right" things)......I mean...it is WORKING well for you right now!!! You certainly do not want to be too tight....that is not the name of the game. Anyways....I digress! LOL. (what's new?!). Yes, I'm ready for Xmas....I just need to wrap Mr Yoda's gifts....not an easy feat since we are inseparable usually!!! I'm just gonna lock him in the basement with his guitar while I sneak away and wrap. Today was my last day at work so I'm very happy and I can really use the break!!! I hope everyone has a TERRIFIC holiday!!!! -
I second that motion!!
-
It'll be difficult Neenagh but I'll try.....seein' as it's YOU and everything!!! (besides, I know you KNOW people!!!).... :nervous WHEEZY: great news about your ma! Glad u can relax a bit now.
-
:clap2: :clap2: WOW...that is awesome Bandiva!!! Welcome to bandland!!!! Thanks for filling us in. Glad you are doing well....be good to yourself for the next several days!
-
First of all Gaffer...KUDOS to you for thinking of buying such a wonderful gift for Mrs Gaffer!!! Yowzers!!! I was told to wait about a week or so before having a bath (showers were fine.....just no soaking until the incisions were healed). But to be on the safe side, I recommend you pose your query directly to Dr. C's office. Again....nice one!!!!
-
Okay, my fellow Canucks!!!! :canada: Inquiring (snoopy) minds wanna know.....where will you be on Xmas day and with whom? This is the first time that Mr Yoda and I will be at our place and completely ALONE on the 25th...!!! Yayyyy!!! I'm sooo looking forward to a stress free day with just the two of us!!!! We specifically planned it this way. Of course, to keep the masses happy.....on Boxing Day we will head down to Burlington area to spend the day (the day only mind you.....instead of the usual couple/few days) with Mr Yoda's family. My folks live on the West Coast and besides they will be in a sunnier/warmer climate over the holidays. Though my sister and her family live nearby (Ottawa area), that is not an option for a variety of reasons (if you recall my sister saga!). So......how about you guys?
-
No she's not Neenagh!!!!:girl_hug:

Absolutely....just a few drops! Taste and then add more if you want it;....very potent stuff!
