ditto to what Cloe said!!! Yeah, I feel a big difference right now with my fill. I'm back to that "frightened" stage where I'm afraid to eat too much ....I sooooooooooooo don't want to experience a bad pb.....or anything dreadful! Ironically, I'm trying to eat more.....I haven't been having much. Example of yesterday's intake: Breakfast: Protein Shake Snack: pudding Lunch: 3 crackers, 2 pieces of cheese Supper: 3 lil' meatballs with tomato sauce on them (those tiny M&M meatballs) Snack: nothing. See, not enough, eh? I know it. Don't yell at me. -
Doriana....TLBC treats the subsequent fills (ie. after the first) on an individual basis....they will ask you questions...about how much you can eat, if you feel full, how much you've lost...tightness etc....they will decide from that. There is no actual "template"....it is very very unlikely you will get more than 2 ccs...they will MOST certainly NOT put you at capacity (migawd woman!!). I don't know what you mean by "what happens after your 3rd fill".....you can have any number of fills (until you reach capacity or until you reach your sweet spot). Some will get to their sweet spot in 2 or 3 (or 0) fills....others may need 6 or 7 or whatever....tis different for everyone and depends on how slow you increase it etc (slower is better!). The fills or the number of fills you have is not related to when you get to your goal weight. "how long after your 3rd fill could you get another one"?....some won't eve need a 3rd fill (lucky buggers!). You can ask for another fill (whichever number that is) after you notice that despite doing everything "right" and following the "rules" you aren't losing (ON AVERAGE) 1-2 lbs per week...then discuss it and ask for a small fill to help you get to your "sweet spot". Because you've only had one fill it is VERY normal to feel no to little restriction...so no worries. But remember, just cause you "can" eat doesn't mean you should always let yourself!! Good luck with your second fill to both you and your hubby!! May this be the sweet spot for you both!

Okay...tks guys.....makes me feel better knowing it has happened to others too. However, I'm HAPPY to report that last night was a good night! I only had a few gurgle sounds when I initially laid down....and no liquid and I slept thru the night with no issues! I think Mandi is correct....it might happen after a fill (adjusting to it etc) and it will go away on its own Astrotoes....don't worry about "choking".....it is like a chocking sensation but not exactly choking....your body will wake itself up right away and you will cough (if there is enough in there) and that is a good thing....so don't let if freak you out. Hey guys....LOL....think of me....I can't just wake up coughing, jump up and run to the bathroom to spit....I use a CPAP...!! So, I first have to take my mask off, get untangled from the hose etc....LOL. I put a lil' cup by my bed for just this purpose...but I haven't had to use it yet. I just finished some hot tea to help loosen me and I'll have my protein drink for breakfast while at work.....the feeling feels better today..... Thanks for listening to me whine the last couple of days..... BTW, I think my ticker is no longer a lie!!! WHOOOOT WHOOOOT!!! But I won't weigh until Sat.....so it might even have to be adjusted DOWNwards!!! -
Hi Sherrylynn and welcome!!! :welcomeB: Congrats on your upcoming banding date! :clap2: Most certainly do a ton of reading/research (on here is great...the general/support threads)....make yourself aware of the "probs" that can occur...but don't read about them on here....no need unless you experience it yourself.....

Tks for the tip.....I'll see what I can do. yeah Neenagh...I remember reading that too (during all my pre-op research) but they were usually referring to reflux and I don't think this is what that is since it isn't "painful" (per say) or burning....but yes, I will do a search and see if I can come up with something similar! -

Soooooo, hmmmmmmmmmmmm I seem to be having probs adjusting to my fill. It's like I'm having to "learn" or something all over again. This bites. Maybe it is because my last fill was in Aug and I forget how it feels or maybe it is because there is more restriction now (or combo of those)....but I have a "feeling" in there and I can't decipher it. I don't know if it is my "hungry" feeling, my "full" feeling, or my "ohmigawd, one more bite and I might PB feeling". *sigh*. It's making me very nervous.... Also, the last two nights (after I've gone to bed) I've had these horrible gurgle sounds that are VERY VERY VERY loud....at first it was hilarious...it sounded like a baby alien was screeching and trying to come out my mouth. Also, some of the times (not all) I get a bit of liquid coming up.....it wasn't so funny after it ended up disturbing my sleep for the past two nights. This has never happened to me before. I know it isn't acid reflux because it isn't burning or painful (like I'm told that condition is)....so not sure what it is and I hope it will go away soon. I really don't think I'm too tight...AND I'm not eating prior to going to bed or anything (& this goes on all through the night).....I know some liquid came up sometimes while I was sleeping, as I would wake up coughing/choking. I talked to AngelBear and she said she experienced something similar and it went away after a week.....anyone else have something like this happen to them? I tell ya that, and this continuous "feeling" in there.....I don't like it!! Do you think the feeling will go away.....did you guys have this sensation in there for several days past your fill (those of you that are well restricted, that is)? Geez, just when I thought I had a handle on all this......bam! :cry -
That song brings back so many memories.....when I was 13, we drove from one end of Canada to the other (we were moving) in a small Volkswagon Rabbit...my folks, my sister (older by 18 months) and myself. That was obviously the ONLY song my sister knew because she sang it the ENTIRE trip over and over and over and over!!!!! Good memory now but at the time I would wanna SCREAM whenever I heard that song!!! (and she did NOT have any singing talent....so you can imagine!) LOL That was one looooooooooooooooong trip! :nervous

Wow ....I hear ya though Cloe....sorta bad news and good news all rolled up into one. She's gotta learn though, eh?!!

No Doriana, I don't utilize MSN. Yes, winter has finally hit us, I think.....leaving in a few mins for work ...a lil' earlier than usual so that I can brave the elements!

Hi all....I posted this in the general Lounge but then figured I would try here too since nobody has responded!!! Hi Las Vegas people!!! Las Vegans? Las Veganites?? I went to the Nevada thread to post my question but there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity there so thought I'd try my luck here. I'm hoping some of you might have some advice for me. My husband and I are from a small town north of Toronto, Ontario Canada; we are going to go to Vegas in April sometime....we went there 5 yrs ago to get married and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (and, we only spent about $50 in the slot; neither of us are gamblers). Anyways, we want to go back since we had so much fun AND we want to go see Barry Manilow at the Hilton (I adore him and though I've seen him 4 times....the last time was about 22 years ago!). He wasn't playing there 5 yrs ago when we went and because the trip alone tapped us out, we didn't go to any concerts. This time around, we really want to see Barry and perhaps go to another show of some sort. So, my question to you Vegas locals are.....is there ANY way to get tickets at a cheaper price than what is advertised online and at the hotels and thru travel agents etc....? I mean, do you locals have some sort of secret way to get tickets cheaper? LOL. If so, PLEASE share with me your suggestions......you can pm me if you like. Also, if you have any suggestions for seeing the "real" Vegas.....I'm open to them and would greatly appreciate it. We love the strip and certainly want to do that again (& stay on the Strip again) but this time around we also want to get off the strip!!! LOL. Thanks all!!!! Vegas ROCKS!

Cloe....I've been wearing a knee brace on the elliptical and so far so good (mind you, I'm also still taking the pills morning and night!). I tried the bike with the brace but it was too uncomfortable....I couldn't get the brace adjusted so that it wouldn't rub the wrong way ....so I did it without and no problem....it's a different type of action on the knee though, so I think it will be ok without the brace when I'm on the bike. -
Could it beeee a faded rose from daaaaays gone byyyyyy??? (I'm impressed Mandi; I figured it would be before your time!).
-
I'm not too far from you....I'm up the 400 in the Barrie area. How am I doin'? Alright...but never as well as I'd like to be doin'!! LOL (loss wise that is!!!).
-
Green: I must admit, I know my way around TO by car pretty well (and when I say TO I also include North York, Mississauga etc) but if I were to bus or subway it.....eep!!! I haven't done that enough....just the TTC from Yorkdale to Union....that is it! (and the odd streetcar up and down Queen).
-
I was surprised too Doriana....I was never told to wait that long to do any ab work (ie. situps, crunches etc). I was told 6 weeks and then just go with it depending on how you feel. I was WELL into it by the 3rd month! I wouldn't worry.

I'll take some cheese with my whine please..8(

LOL sorry if I was a wee bit "sassy" Time2Live!!! *snickers* Patience is key though...I mean....I know how you feel, been there...(still am there most of the time!).....like you I seem to diminish my accomplishments and look at what I still have left to do (not just in the weight aspect....many parts of my life).....logically I know I should be happy and thankful with my progress so far....and I actually am VERY happy about it but like you....I want more and I want it yesterday!! LOL. Lookin' at your ticker.....maaaaaaaaaaaaan, 58 lbs since July!!!! When you stop to think about it, that is GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT!!!!! -
ROTFLMAO @ Neenagh!!!! Good one!:clap2:
